Jimin was a dance student at highschool and the best student that he even got a scholarship because of it, he is also the best dancer in K-pop for five years :) he is awesome

Jimin is a very skilled dancer, his body flows with the music and it’s amazing to watch it 💜
Jimin is a classically trained dancer and was top student he also learned popping and locking and is also a black belt in Taekwondo and is a Kendo master having studied it for 8 years. He learned Hapkido and Chinese martial arts. He dances from his fingertips to the tips of his toes. He's an exceptionally talented dancer, beautiful and the sweetest kindest man. BTS and ARMY are very very lucky to have him, he completes BTS as they all do really but there's something about Jimin. Even people who don't know BTS know who Jimin is. Lie is an absolute masterpiece and so is Jimin. This is a Grammy worthy performance and if it had been submitted I would have loved to see the faces of the other artists watching this amazing performance.

Jimin is different when it comes to dancing maybe because he studied contemporary dance. I also like Jimin's style when dancing

Here's info that some aren't aware of:
❣JIMIN, born October 13, 1995, at age 11, started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy.
Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!!
So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to join, being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey!
JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. He even won a scholarship, the only student to do so, to study more extensively in China for awhile! All the martial arts training has given JIMIN his phenomenal inner core strength, as well as his amazing flexibility, which has enabled Jimin to achieve all those breathtakingly spectacular gravity defying dance moves! JIMIN has found a way to incorporate all his various dance disciplines, as well as his extensive training in martial arts into his unique, ever so special, outstandingly amazing dancing abilities!!
JIMIN, has been called 'Stage Commander', known for his amazing, so mesmerizing stage presence. Each dance move is executed flawlessly, his extensions all the way to the fingertips, his lines so clean, his fluidity, his poise & elegance, his ever so graceful moves, but yet, sharp, quick & deliberate when required! He focuses on every detail! Known for his work ethics and being a perfectionist to a fault, spending hours in the practice room, will study every move, even focusing on hands to fingertips. Even his facial expressions, or the look in his eyes! Every single detail he focuses on. Jimin tends to take in the music and interprets all the emotion & feelings, whatever it's trying to convey through his body movements as well as his vocals.
JIMIN has now won the prestigious titles for 4 yrs in a row, for both KING OF KPOP, as well as also winning BEST TOP #1 DANCER IN KPOP, also 4 yrs in a row!! Jimin is also referred to as "Rookie's Bible" because all rookie idols, try to emulate & study every move he makes, trying to learn from him! Jimin used to struggle a lot with his self image. I believe this song is about the lies his own internal self doubt would whisper to him about himself. He's said that he is no longer in the same headspace he was in when he first made Lie. :)
As much as I do love the song, I'm really glad he is no longer actively performing it. I know every army agrees with me when I say I never want him to feel anything remotely near that again. 🥺💜

This key change in the chorus gives me life, I love this song sm.
I have a hard time categorizing this song, too. I feel the Chris Brown reference. I can't remember where I heard this, but this song is about his being caught in the lie of depression. A masterpiece.
According to what Jimin said he was deeply in self criticism but outside he was pretending everything was OK with him & he was lied to everyone around him & even to himself that everything was OK.

To me stage mixes never give the performance justice like they cut at awkward times and take away from the emotion, cuz even if someone is performing the same song w the same choreo, every performance is gonna be different depending on the day, their mood, if they're more into the performance or more playful, if there's any tech issues that only the performer knows off..... Idk maybe cuz I did theater and dance performances, stage mixes just turn me off so much and take the life out of the performance....
Don't get me wrong, ur reaction was great, and kudos to whoever did the mix, but I suggest on a first listen to a song, a full uncut unedited performance is the way to go, the sound would match perfectly with every breath the artist take and evry expression he makes.... Cuz the same vocal sounds different based on ur facial expressions
All in all, at least in jimin's performances please do a full one and not a stage mix... His solos are 'serendipity' and 'filter', I also suggest the dance cover jimin and jungkook did to Michael Jackson's 'black or white' its so good and underrated in the reaction community, even tho it's a classic💜💜💜
