I just kept screeching the correct Pokemon's cries when John made the wrong decisions, like how Mikey screamed at Jack for making bad Pokemon plays in the Platinum Relay XD
Machamp is one of John's favorite Pokemon of all time! How on earth did he think Zapdos's cry was from the Machamp line??

Except you are given access to all three starters in Pokemon Yellow as gift Pokemon. So that's no excuse!

I literally got all 40 right as soon as I heard them the first time. I play the main series Pokémon games way too much
I only know Dunsparces' cry by heart because I LOVE Pokémon Uranium. That cry is burned into my ears because of it. If I never played through that game around 10 times through I wouldn't have that cry memorized right now
Also Buizel because Buizel and Floatzel are my absolute favorite pokemon

Is it bad that I thought this was an April fool's joke at first? I thought he was intentionally getting everything wrong as a belated April fool's joke if I'm being honest
The Aipom cry, my gut instinct before seeing the answers was Bayleef and I was so happy to see it... only for my hopes and dreams to be slapped in the face by Aipom's butt hand.
I tried this myself, got 10/10 on Kanto, 10/10 on Johto, 10/10 on Hoenn, 10/10 on Sinnoh, 10/10 on Unova, 10/10 on Kalos, 10/10 on Alola, and then 8/10 on Galar.
I was surprised I was able to get them all right in gen 5, 6 and 7. It's harder for me from gen 5 and onwards.
I'm very good with gens 1, 2, 3 and 4 though. I grew up with Diamond, and an Action Replay that let me complete the entire National Pokédex so I could see all the Pokémon and listen to all their cries.
And then I watch a lot of let's plays, so I'm pretty good with cries.
I got to a point where Genesect and Landorus were both on the page, and I hadn't heard either of their cries, but it didn't sound like a bug or metal thing, sounded more stormy, so I went with Landorus and got it right.
And then there was another page where Tornadus and Eelektrik were both present, also haven't heard their cries before, but it didn't sound like an electric eel, so I went with Tornadus, and that was right as well.
Basically, if I don't know whose cry it is, I go with what it sounds like it could be.
If it sounds cute, go for the cute Pokémon. Not the Pupitar. It's not cute.
I did get Lotad at one point but I couldn't recognize the cry, it sounded similar to Nincada but definitely not it, but once I saw Lotad on the screen, I knew it was that one.
I also love Rhyperior's cry, it's so fearsome!
I took the quiz and got 100% on the 1st 5 gens. For gen 1-4 I didn't even need the multiple choice
I got 100% on gen 6 70% on gen 7 and 70% on gen 8

Bulbasaur's cry sounds like it is saying Bulba and Psyduck sounds like waddle duck.
It sounds more like it saying gold duck to me
funny story, I played the kalos one and guessed litleo. when I saw the options they were zygarde, litleo, yveltal, and volcanion.

When MandJTV did this, he got all of the Hoenn pokemon right when he said before he was probably gonna be better at the first pokemon generation, but no, he was better at generation 3. Also, can you please do the next generations.
