  • Dr. Sandy Ray was rated as one of America's Greatest Preachers. For many years he was the pastor of the historic Concord Baptist Church in Brooklyn,Ny. This sermon was recorded in a ministers conference and captured the hearts of preachers around the country. As he preached from the title of a rhythm and blues song " You Don't Have to be a Star to be on my Show" by Marilyn Mcoo and Billy Davis. This is a master piece sermon preached back in the 80's.

Oh how we need this dear preachers voice. For he preached with an authority with the voice knowing that we are like a people that are like a ship without a rudder. Many pastors aren’t able to mobilize our people to snap out of our unending, pathetic coma.

Where is the sermon, "The Jungle"? It was taken off CZcams I believe by the family. If for sale I'll pay and buy it.

Martin Luther King would call this man "Uncle Sandy" out of respect.

The description of the video has some errors. He was the pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church, not Concord. Concord was Dr. Gardner Taylor. This sermon had to be preached in the 70's at the latest, not the 80's. Dr. Ray died in 1979 so it couldn't have been the 80's

Thank you so much for sharing this message. One correction - Dr. Ray was pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Brooklyn, not Concord.

I've visited the great Cornerstone. I believe Dr. Taylor was in times was the Pastor of Concord Baptist Church in Brooklyn.
