Dr. Taylor & his wife Phyllis Taylor were members of Christian Faith Baptist Church, Raleigh, NC. I had perused sermons on CZcams and found this great Pulpiteer. In a conversation with my Mother, a Deacon of CFBC, I mentioned Dr. Taylor's name. "He's a member of the church". How I longed to sit at his feet. I didn't know he was a member because I had been away. He passed on an Easter Sunday! God was truly showing up and showing off!!!! What preacher tell me would not want go Home to be with the Lord on an Easter Sunday? Glory Hallelujah. His Eulogy was befitting of his long life in a brief amount of time. So very well done.

It was my great privilege to have a friendship with Dr. Taylor in the last 10 years of his life. He was as provocative and eloquent in casual conversation as he was in front of a mic. He raised the bar and set a standard for those of us who would take seriously, the task of biblical proclamation.

Brilliant just brilliant! The poetry, the use of his vocal dynamics, the obvious study and the review of other pulpit giants. His preaching takes hold of the African American tradition, pulls from the south, takes from the urbane, sprinkles the acedemy all with has the sound of Africa and all the power of the scripture. This is oratory we all must study. Wow!

And he was a genius. He could have been anything that he wanted to be. We know. It's reference to in his eulogy. It was a fine eulogy summing up his God given essence in a brief speech.. have you heard it? Dr Taylor and his wife Phyllis attended the same church I did in his later years.
I enjoy your sermons too Reverend Moss!

Rev. Dr. Taylor's messages have achieved universality so grant us access to them via the internet. We need scripture-based sermons delivered by one called by God; spoken with enthusiasm and sincerity; theologically researched words that teach us with care and heighten our spiritual understanding, and not some biased carnal sermon preached for gains. Words are important ..."In the beginning, was the word"; God's words feed us; truth matters and I crave for this medicine. Personally, I never met this man but as a preacher, He Is A Great Example for ministers today! I thank God for his life and for this sermon, "It is Finished".

Wow, what an absolute pleasure and privilege to listen to probably one of the world's greatest orators. The use of diction and tonality. Every word, tone, pause, pitch is in the right place. "The consequences live on"...
