I think CZcams want's a cloud too.
But number 34 on trending :(
I've been seeing youtube comment on so many random things lately. A lot of educational stuff and minecraft.
Interesting seeing the viewing habits of whoever manages the comments
CZcams only having 4 likes is super weird...
You tube with 7 likes ?
The fact that the buyer was so happy about it made my day.
No comment let’s fix that lmao
One comment lets fix that lmao
Two comments lemme quickly fix that
I'm pretty sure no one else has an altocumulus cloud trapped in a box in their living room, so I'm not surprised he is happy. He'll be happy until some millionaire one-ups him with a pet Cirrus cloud.
The fact that the buyer practically bought rainwater made me cringe.
its crazy how a literal cloud is worth less than a banana taped to a wall
Yeah
i'd rather have a banana than water vapor that probably already condensated onto the edges of the bag
@@TheCerealArsonist my brother in christ watch the whole video
@@hewhoowl it's literally a water vaporizer in a box. the cloud and all of the rainwater is gonna get used up and the entire value of the piece is just gone
@TheCerealArsonist If you actually watch the video he buys a fog machine which is 12 bucks and a fish tank I would estimate 50 bucks and a banana is like 50 cents to a dollar with a piece of scotch tape that is probably like 4 cents, so no a banana is NOT worth more then 62 dollars, plus the meaning and story behind it easy pumps it up to the 3000 dollar price that it displays
honestly as far as art pieces are concerned i find it quite charming. maybe the whole moss at the bottom could be improved a bit, the fogmachine could probably be hidden in a better way, incorporate some better lighting and such as well, but if we ignore details such as that i think its pretty cool. sure technically its a fogmachine making fog BUT the fact the water being fogged up was directly gathered from a cloud does make it neat.
visually i think thats more of a conversation piece and interesting thing to look at than a painting is.
At least the person who bought it looks like he appreciates art. Unlike most modern art which is only intended to be an investment.
You mean money laundering 😂
@@Adam-jg7lethat isn’t money laundering, he can’t recoup any of his investment as he literally picked the hardest piece imaginable to resell, especially with the video showing 50% was just rain water. More than likely he’s just very rich and wanted a story piece
@@RezzVibes look at context before writing paragraphs pls
@@RezzVibes i could imagine that his was also a bit set up. not just a bit! I wouldnt know how long the cloud stays in there, also its just 99.9% rainwater which everyone could recreate. Then the buyer is anonymous and his "collection" consists of some butterflies, a pen with a "diamond", and a clock? idk man
But im not hating i like the idea and the video overall was pretty good
@@RezzVibesyou obviously misunderstood his comment
that honestly deserved that price. its not that he just took water and just used a fog machine, but the story behind and what he did was art
is it only me or I missed where he named the price he sold it for?

The piece itself looks nice, but the fact that the water is from an actual cloud is the real impressive part.
….all rainwater is from clouds….but as some others said, the buyer bought the memories and the story, not just some rainwater.
Didnt he take the water from rain water that he had in his garden?
@@adoptedbybitcoinDid you watch the video? He got rainwater from a cloud which is water vapor and saved it then got some rainwater which is also technically from a cloud and got a fog machine and a tank then put the water in the machine in the tank and made a cloud. I find it impressive that he went in the air and got cloud water.

It's actually refreshing seeing this unique type of videos on CZcams lately, Zac Alsop, Jay Swingler, Max Fosh etc are all smashing it
Is not really unique tho because he took this idea from someone else who did it a few years ago.
@@RayRaeTVThat’s not a certainty, because that’s the thing with ideas: multiple people can have the same one. If an idea could only ever be thought by one single person in all of time, we would still be in the Stone Age at best.
Dude all I have to say zac is congratulations man that’s just amazing and so awesome .! I honestly don’t know anyone else who can say they sold a cloud ☁️ bravo.!
Subbed to you I love your content. Been checking out a few videos and this one is my favourite. Love the cloud concept and how you displayed it in its box beautifully. Great artwork you should be proud of the whole thing. Keep with the great content thank you
Silliness aside, this was actually really sweet I think and the buyer seemed really happy with it. It's quite a cool thing to own, the story behind it and this video as proof make it super interesting. Most people who really, genuinely appreciate art are more emotionally invested than financially invested (if that makes sense). Something like this is a mixture of fun, science, storytelling and because of that it's a really cool talking point! Not to mention, I actually quite appreciate the presentation of it - it's quite intriguing!
the £3,000 cloud reminded me of this text i had read,.........a bar of iron cost $5 , made into horse shoes it's worth $12 , made into needles it $3,500 made into balance springs for watches its worth $300,000, your value is determined by what you are able to make of yourself.
A cloud in a jar could cost like 100k which I would love to have in my house for 100k
Congratulations Josh❤!
Congratulations to you josh 👍
The fact you documented the process too actually made that piece legit. Very nice!
16:30 you can see the emotion he feels as his face gets more blushed when his piece was acknowledged, its quite heartwarming.
I just want to thank you for this awesome idea and great video ❤🎉
Reminds when I went to the Blaenau FFestiniog railway in Wales.... decades ago(!).... and there were some Americans in the gift shop - "Gee honey, let's buy a can of steam". Make me chuckle. Did they know it wouldn't stay as steam? But the same idea. Wish now that my parents had bought me canned steam! Great vid though. Love your enterprising spirit and enthusiasm, Zac.
As a Pilot myself I love this idea!! Always wanted to catch one myself ;)
Congratulations on the sale, Zac!
With your level of creativity, it is logical that you can become an actual artist.
Hope this is the beginning of something great!
Creativity? The idea of putting a could in a bag is not original there is another dude on yt that did the same thing a couple months ago which is where this guy probably got the idea from

This mixed with better moss arrangement to literally crawl on the insides of the window much like vines do with normal terrain along with some blue/green lightning even from the outside plus the "container" itself being moved somehow by a mechanism to change positions and give the clouds more life could have been simply amazing but i still love it even as raw as it is. Good job!
This is actually fascinating. Great job!

Art is about selling an idea to someone to look, appreciate and gander at.
You actually gathered moisture from a cloud, create a interesting containment and device to properly demonstrate the piece and what you were going for. "Being able to take a piece of cloud and display it". Then documented it all the way so even the buyer can see this video and the effort and work you went through documenting your efforts in a entertaining video for the masses of that piece.
That's a masterful job at art. Unlike a banana with duct tape or shredding art at its purchase.
CONGRATULATIONS JOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!

absolutely brilliant work Zac 👏
an art piece that looks good, has a great story, is super unique and comes with a video that not only confirms its true but it adds a unique value of itself.
mate, that priece is a steal. and if you came from artistic background or you continued as an artist then the value would only grew.
honestly, well done
There is another way that would have made your piece much more amazing to look at. The Science is 20 years in my past now, but I remember in class making an actual cloud in a jar and it just required the debris (motes of dust or ash, really, for the moisture to collect upon), and a change in the pressure between inside of the jar and the outside classroom. The results look amazing, like a miniature cloud in a jar. Your cloud being taken from the sky and then turned into this cloud-in-a-jar form would have visually looked the part, in my opinion, much more than a fog machine. The result floats in the center of the jar and is literally a miniature cloud.
Edit: I forgot to say I'd spend a zillion dollars on that. The idea of a cloud straight from the sky is fascinating, and your video from way up there is incredible.
You’ve been an artist Zac.
More interesting than any modern art piece i've seen. Even just putting a mister into a glass box is quite interesting, to have 'i've captured a cloud' on top of that, it captures the imagination.
From an art point of view this is far from bad. It is fairly conceptual but also has some legitimacy due to the back story. I have seen art with far less work done or originality sell for much more. You haven't ripped off the buyer and everyone is happy. It's actually a pretty decent piece of work!
CONGRADULATIONS JOSH!!!
Im not gonna lie, I definitely accept thst as an art piece. Its not just some banana taped to a wall or buckets falling over or a roller coaster in a musuem. Its something meaningful where the person went through tons of trial and error to get up truly into the skies to capture a cloud and bring it back down and technically preserve it as a cloud. I think thats actually cool as hell and would love to have one if the price wasnt thousands. Nice.
That was honestly a genuinely cool art piece
Congratulations Josh! I wish you the partner and the newborn all the health and happiness in the world!
Amazing one as always!
I used to eat clouds for desert when I was a kid. My mom would scoop up some fresh snow and put sweet fruit syrup in it to make home made slushies. We lived way out in the country where ourclouds weren't as polluted at least.
should just keep doing this for fun and money but this was genuinely good to watch
Josh is a top bloke - if I ever get the urge to paraglide I’ll shout him
This is REAL art that has REAL effort. Unlike dropping buckets of sand. This is genuinely beautiful to watch
As a child I always thought to somehow put a cloud in a box and keep it for display. It’s nice that a thought I had when I was small somehow come true.
Did paragliding last month for first time was amazing, we flew up into the clouds but couldn't fly through them too much for saftey reasons as another person was getting a lucky experience flying through and above the cloud layer, the take off is the most scary thing as your dragged across the ground
Honestly it’s a beautiful art piece! If I was a rich collector I would totally buy this.
Theres a buyer out there for anything and hes the perfect one for that piece the natural fog aspect helps his bug exhibition like a terrarium but with no maintenance required.
Looks like you opened it again on your way down. Which makes that regular air that sold for 10K.. now that's impressive 👏🏽
