200 motels is one of my favourite movies . God knows why, because not even Zappa’s hottest fans like it, but I really do. On the other hand I have a hot spot for modernistic music too.
Pretties for you is on my list of best LP:s ever. I have loved it ever since I heard it the first time and still do…
    Maybe I'm just crazy...😊

Not crazy, you just have unique tastes :) This is the kind of comment I love because it' presenting a different view on the music, but in a respectful way. Thank you for the input!

I can't believe I never responded months ago, I'm sorry - I found The Incident, tried to get through it, but couldn't. You're right, it wasn't up to the bands standards!

Gee, thank goodness I've never heard any of these. The only one I've considered is Iron Fist. So many of my favourite artists have made real stinkers. The Allman Brothers' two early '80s albums on Artista come to mind. While I don't hate them like most others do, it's incredible how far they fell into almost disco a mere decade after Fillmore. I could never get my head around Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' "Last DJ". Not horrible, but easily his weakest work and one where he just kinda rants and rambles. John Hiatt's "Little Head" (save for Pirate Radio), Asleep at the Wheel's "Framed" (horrid), Neil's "Monsanto Years" all come to mind as ones I wish I'd never heard. Another great video!

Heck, look at J. Geils Band on Centerfold compared to Full House - totally lackluster.
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers opened their "Last DJ" world tour in Grand Rapids, MI and I was there. It was the first time I saw him, Mavis Staples opened and blew the roof off the place! The album is so-so but the songs were better in concert.

@@brettsmusicreviews2641 Petty was one of the best live acts, hands down. I only saw them once, but it was epic. And Mavis Staples too!! I also saw her once and she was absolutely fabulous. That's a lot of talent in one night.

    1) Open Your Eyes by Yes. The only good news about it was the return of Steve Howe but the album stinks
    2) Calling All Stations by Genesis. No Comments. Non even prog.
    3) The Endless River by Pink Floyd. Hey Dave bring those demos lost on your computer and let's made an album of it. We got bills to pay.
    4) Any ELP album after Love Beach. ( I love that one, actually).
    5) Sorry, isn't this a prog channel?

Not a Prog channel but I'm always happy to talk about it, even if I don't know much - finding new music is always welcome :)
Yeah, Endless River... not saying Division Bell was prog, by any standard, but it would have been a much better final PF album than this.

New sub to your channel. Just Push Play stinks. Aerosmith shouldn’t use electronic drum loops. Ever. This isn’t Rocks or Toys In The Attic back when they had juice. Take care…

Thanks for the reply - I'm glad I'm not the only one who dislikes that album :) Aerosmith was "my band' for a fair bit, the band I listened to more than anything. I love SO much of their work, but JPP... ugh lol
