Does anybody want to spout that tired old line about pigeons being disgusting flying rats? I remember when most parks had fountains, and the pigeons kept themselves clean because of it. Most places had sprinklers that came on twice a day, and the pigeons knew when to come and wash themselves. But then in the 90's the money men decided that our Earth, which is 3/5 covered in water, was suffering from a "shortage". So they took out the fountains and shut off the sprinklers. @@pigeonlove Oh, yes! My friend you have arrived at a very basic and profound truth, one that has life altering implicatioms if applied properly! Why they lift their wing is so the falling water splashed upwards onto them without rufflibg the feathers and they can preen the dirty water down later it's neat, I learned this in NYC
