Thank you for watching the video, It means a lot to me .
I will leave this pinned message here to REMIND everyone that i do not have TELEGRAM and there is no GIVEAWAY. Those you see are bot scams . Keep yourself safe and know that I would not ask for your info. ❤ ❤
This video was much more fun to watch without volume.
You know, I may be a full blown metalhead, but you can never go wrong with any Michael Jackson song. Highly recommend you do more if you enjoyed it. He was dubbed the "King of Pop" for a reason.
Hopefully more in the future ❤
@@BisscuteReacts watch the movie ‘American Warewolf in London’
Same director and it’s where MJ got the inspiration for the ‘Thriller’ video
Life long Metal guy here as well but there are certain artists who transcend genres and are in a league all their own: Michael Jackson and David Bowie are the two who always spring to mind as examples. The kinds of people you can never recreate no matter how hard you tried.
Amen to that. I mean he is so damn good that we ignore..that thing..
@@TacticalSandalsI always recommend Razorfist's video on that subject. Gives one a lot to think about regarding all of that.
You asked how popular this song was at the time.
It was the highest selling album of ALL TIME.
Ty ❤
STILL IS! And Forever Will Be👑
It still is
I was 13 when this video premiered on Mtv back when it was actually a music television channel. It didn't matter if you were a MJ fan or not. Everybody, and I mean every kid stopped what they were doing to watch this premiere. It was so awesome. I bet Miss Biss is sitting in her room watching the dance sequence right now practicing the dance moves..hahaha. Thanks Biss
Thank you for being here❤️
This was played at my local cinema when i was a kid. The full 30 minutes of it. Was worth the 80 pence i paid
@john chauvin......I miss those days. Before reality tv and social media made society crazy.
@@stevep2380 You and me both. I remember having conversations with complete strangers just standing in line for something. Now everyone has their face buried in their phones
If I’m correct it was 1982
Mj always had a vision. I believe he payed for all his short films from his own pocket. This short film still holds up today especially the zombie element. The Vincent price element was genius in itself. Choreography unmatched. No one ever mentions it but MJ and Ola's chemistry in this is excellent. Mj was a phenomenon. Absolutely devastating loss to the world.
He actually did pay. Especially for Remember The Time video.
This video has some of the best zombie make-up ever.
This is a classic. Still holds up
MJ hired some of Hollywood's bighest talents for this epic video. John Landis, Rick Baker...no one had ever put this much effort and expense into a music video before.
Ghouls NOT Zombies !!!!
He even Sings it in Thriller !!!
Movie director John Landis directed the music video for "Thriller". He had directed "Animal House," "The Blues Brothers," and "An American Werewolf in London". It was one of the most expensive music videos ever made. It is iconic.
Michael Jackson's "Thriller" (1982) is the best selling album of all time. It was a cultural phenomenon. In the 1980s, no one was bigger than Michael Jackson in popular music; hence his nickname, "The King of Pop."
Each year, a number of cities in the United States have a "Zombie Walk" where people dress like zombies and dance like Michael Jackson did in the "Thriller" music video.
The voiceover toward the end of the song featured the voice of Vincent Price, an actor who starred in thrillers (now called horror movies) from the late 1930s into the 1980s.
I live in Louisville. There is a zombie walk every year.
Wow I did not know that. The "An American Werewolf in London" part makes so much sense. You can see so much of that in this music video.
@@chrisd7047 😆😆👍
Yeah, Thriller's got 70m claimed sales, with 50m certified.
@@HaienTwitch Jackson picked Landis because of an american werewolf in London
I was 15 when this came out and it was ground breaking. One of the most iconic videos that ever came out on MTV. The choreography was so infectious, and you couldn't not move to the beat. It was an amazing time to be alive.
I can see why, amazing ❤
I was in college when it came out. The MTV build-up was a month long. Everyone I knew were glued to a TV. Instant success! But then came the ENDLESS LOOP of it being played into the ground! There wasn’t a club you could go to escape people doing these dance moves and the song being played multiple times a night. 😮
@@BisscuteReacts fun fact the men talking is his brother and Jermaine thriller writer Rod Temperton and director John Landis in the "monster movie" Michael and Ola are watching
@@BisscuteReacts This was what MTV was made for. Very few artists took advantage of the Music Video medium as well as Michael did, and this is STILL probably one of the best Were Wolf effects ever put to film.

This song was absolutely HUGE!!! Everybody watched the premiere, MJ was no doubt the most popular artist at this time and further on...and in my humble opinion he looked his best in this era and wasn't so harassed by the music industry or the paparazzi. You MUST PLEASE do a reaction to his 'Earth song' it's just so dynamic, soulful and beautiful. ❤
Someday hopefully ❤
Your reaction was so much fun to watch! You TOTALLY nailed the dance!! 😀
Thank you ❤️

Don´t forget that at that time, people were doing videos while standing in front of a wall singing, just nothing and suddenly Mike comes with THIS. And also, there was no internet. You had to wait till they played it on tv. And kids were missing school to see the premiere of it on MTV. Even in the 90´s, when MJ released a video, it was on evening main news, like CNN, BBC news, not Entertainment TV News. Back then there wasn´t this celebrity culture we have today, where you get regular "news" on celebrities this truly The Greatest Music Video Of All Time! Long Live The King Of Music Michael Joseph Jackson Forever!😇🙌🏽👑❤️🔥✨(Please React to Michael Jackson “Stranger In Moscow” Music Video)
We didn't have Mtv in Brazil at the time, but it was national released at the most important tv show at a sunday night. The whole country was watching and everybody couldn't talk about anything else for a long time. Every teen knew the moves and coreography, people was dancing this everywhere, at the clubs, schools and streets. Later when he came here to record They don't care about us, was a unmatched comotion to this day.
MJ was the king for a reason. He still relevant to this day and always will. The way he inpired people and show a lot of regard toward his fans, exceded his position as an artist and put him on another level.
I was 11 when this came out on December 2, 1983. It's still the greatest music video EVER!
I was 15 in a disco in Germany and they stopped everything to play Thriller at midnight. This song, video and Michael were so famous, that his fame was famous.
Michael was a milestone in all of them, as a dancer, fashion icon, message and music videos. He tells stories.
RIP Michael. Such an amazing artist.
I'm not sure he's gone
And a pedophile 😐
I remember when MTV premiered this and the absolutely huge build up to it. It was literally ‘must-see TV’; people packed bars for viewing parties- including me!! Crazy concept for today😜
Good times. Scratch that… GREAT times.
We were just too young to know it😏
That's so cool
It REALLY was!!! In many cases you literally had to make reservations in advance w the club(s) who had the satellite capability (Yeesh I’m old😂) to air the preview. What was truly cool about that- no dealing w haters! We were all there for the same thing!🥰
Michael Jackson was just one of those artists that transcended his genre and the era he was in. His influence is in everything. Didn't matter if you were a metalhead, rapper, country music singer, etc. everyone seemed to gravitate toward his talent. And it was because of songs like this. Thriller was a mega hit when it released. Still is. It literally is as iconic of a song as it gets. And everyone recognizes the dance ;)
Hard to describe the cultural impact of this song. It won all the awards, captured moviegoers, and was heard everywhere (in shorter form) for a decade.
Not bad for a horror-themed pop song!
That whole album is full of hits.
....as a child, the massive success of thriller, I thought I'd like to be molested by the king of pop!! True Story 😮
Thriller the single was released in Europe late in '83 and in the US in early '84. It was Michael's pride and joy, he put a lot of his own money into the production of the video. I was nine when it came out and I remember how much of an impact it had on music lovers of all genres. Mtv was relatively young and actually played music videos...gasp!
Thriller took center stage and became an instant sensation! Can't remember exactly how many weeks it remained number one but it was forever, no one could touch it! Those were Michael's glory days and he couldn't seem to miss on a song. No matter what your style of music was, everyone loved Michael!! Kids everywhere were break dancing in those days, listening to all things Michael Jackson. P.Y.T(Pretty Young Thing), Beat It and Thriller were all over the radio, being recorded to cassettes and played on every boom box! Awesome memories!!
Thanks ❤️
@@BisscuteReacts thank you!! Brings back some amazing memories. Didn't appreciate what a phenomenal era I was growing up in but I do now!!
@@BisscuteReacts you mentioned the CGI was not so great for this. At this time there was no CGI lol!!! Loved your reactions...you do a great job!!!
*FUN FACT:* The spoken word part at the end was voiced by none other than the legendary Vincent Price. Of course at the end of it in the radio edit, you hear the truly bone-chilling evil, cackling laughter of Price. Very few other things can give me chills and goosebumps than that. *😨😳*
They day he died they interrupted regular TV and showed this in its entirety. This wasn't a music video that they just showed randomly, this was an event that had commercials and it was listed in the TV Guide. All his videos were, and they debuted in prime-time on major networks, and the whole world stopped and watched, it was insane.
European, Belgian here. I was 15 when it came out. This title/clip was a real event and every time this song played in bars/clubs, everyone moved like the zombies. it was fun AF. We already all knew this guy was a genius.
I was a sophomore in high school when this came out.I don’t care what kind of music you were into back in the day, this was a hit with everyone.Watching the documentary of the making of thriller is incredible and speaks to the raw talent musicians had back then that does not exist today
I agree MJ was incredible. But they are talented people now too. Check The Story of One Sky (Dimash Qudaibergen) (just this one is not really fun 🤷♀️)
Yes. Kids that weren't even born when this came out are obsessed with this song and video. MJ is the King of Pop for every generation.
It's hard to put into words at how incredible this video was. MTV was still new, as was cable TV, and VCR's would cost in excess of $200 and weighed around 10 pounds. MTV would announce throughout the day at what time the video would premiere along with the following times you could watch it. I grew up in Gary, Indiana (Michael Jackson's hometown) and remember my uncle picking up me and 2 of my sisters to go to his house and watch the Thriller video, which was going to premiere and he was also recording it on his VCR, which was my first time seeing one up close.
This reaction was better than the video itself! Your facial expressions, thrill of seeing what was developing, and most of all... your dance moves... OMG! This reaction was amazing! Thank you. Thank you!! Thank you... for being so entertaining!!! ❤🔥
Thank you so much ❤❤
"Thriller" was ground-breaking song and MJ broke every barrier, record and chart with it. Before Thriller videos were not made like this - with elaborate concept, production, marketing strategy effects, etc. Thriller changed the game for shooting videos and making music.
I am sure you will enjoy other songs by Michael as well. Smooth Criminal is a must see, Billie Jean, The way you make me feel, Beat it, etc. There are so many great songs by MJ.
THRILLER 🔴 LYRICS :
It's close to midnight
Something evil's lurkin' in the dark
Under the moonlight
You see a sight that almost stops your heart
You try to scream
But terror takes the sound before you make it
You start to freeze
As horror looks you right between the eyes
You're paralyzed
'Cause this is thriller
Thriller night
And no one's gonna save you
From the beast about to strike
You know it's thriller
Thriller night
You're fighting for your life
Inside a killer, thriller tonight, yeah
You hear the door slam
And realize there's nowhere left to run
You feel the cold hand
And wonder if you'll ever see the sun
You close your eyes
And hope that this is just imagination, girl
But all the while
You hear a creature creepin' up behind
You're out of time
'Cause this is thriller
Thriller night
There ain't no second chance
Against the thing with the forty eyes, girl
You're fighting for your life
Inside a killer, thriller tonight
Night creatures callin'
The dead start to walk in their masquerade
There's no escaping the jaws of the alien this time
(They're open wide)
This is the end of your life
They're out to get you
There's demons closing in on every side
They will possess you
Unless you change that number on your dial
Now is the time
For you and I to cuddle close together, yeah
All through the night
I'll save you from the terror on the screen
I'll make you see
That this is thriller
Thriller night
'Cause I can thrill you more
Than any ghoul would ever dare try
So let me hold you tight
And share a
(Killer, diller, chiller)
(Thriller here tonight)
'Cause this is thriller
Thriller night
Girl, I can thrill you more
Than any ghoul would ever dare try
So let me hold you tight
And share a
(Killer, thriller)
I'm gonna thrill you tonight
Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y'alls neighborhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse's shell
I'm gonna thrill you tonight (Thriller)
Ooh babe
(Thriller) I'm gonna thrill you tonight
(Thriller) Oh darling
(Oh babe) I'm gonna thrill you tonight
(Thriller) Ooh, babe
(Thriller at night, babe) I'm gonna thrill you tonight
(Thriller) Oh darling
(Oh babe) Thriller at night, babe
(Thriller at night, babe)
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grisly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller
This was the golden age of music videos. 13 minutes for a music video was unheard of at the time...
Haven't seen this music video in years gonna fun too see it again especially that your reacting to it aswell adds more fun to it honestly, MJ was awesome never seemed to do a bad song tbh

It was so much fun watching how much you enjoyed this! 😊
I grew up on MJ and loved most of his songs.
Classic stuff
Keep up the awesome work ❤️
Had the luck to watch Michael live in 1992 in Cologne. What a performance.
Two Iconic voices on one song! Vincent Price doing the Narration was next level!
Bisscute doing the little claws is my new favourite thing
Hahah ❤️
Your mom is the bomb for getting you to do this one! I would love to be able to see you and your mom do a couple of episodes together!
Oh? ❤
I dont know if anyone mentioned it but the narration was Vincent Price, I very famous horror actor from the 1930s till he passed. Iconic horror actor here in the USA and around the world. That beat and bass is unmatchable.
How popular was this video when it came out? It SHUT DOWN the entire country and everyone was glued to their TVs to watch the video debut! It was a phenomenon.
So nice of Micheal to use British horror actor Vincent Price for the take-out rap....Price thought the idea was crazy, but when he saw how Micheal was such a big fan of his movies, he agreed and was surprised by both Thriller's success and the new popularity it gave him with the younger generation-- Loved your reaction..best Halloween jam ever!!
THank you, glad you loved it ❤️

The making of Thriller also is a great watch and as a 13 year old we watched that Beta and VHS copy until it broke.
It was so much fun to watch this with you...thank you ! This video performance is a legend.
My pleasure, glad you had fun ❤
I was in High School when this was released, and my town had only started to get cable TV. I lived on the main street, so I got MTV before my friends. I told them "Thriller" was about to come out -- MTV hyped its release for a week beforehand. I had about 10 people come home with me so they could see the premiere.
We all lost our GD minds.
Released in 82, and still the best seller in 83... my year of birth. That is how popular this was. I grew up with a laserdisc for this video. Before I saw werewolf movies, before I saw zombie movies, I saw this video. I understand the hesitation around enjoying MJ these days, but this music can't be denied.
Michael was so talented even the zombies couldnt resist him and started dancing with Michael 😂 he was one of a kind I miss him, great reaction :)
Cheers from Austria! ✌
Hahaha, thank you ❤
It was nice to see how much joy this brought you, and how much Thriller gave the world. People can say whatever they wnat about MJ, but no one can touch his level of artistry. The greatest artist of my generation.
I had the pleasure of seeing him perform live when he did the tour for the BAD album, such a great showman he was amazing the dance routines and the set was sensational.
Must have been amazing ❤
It was 1983 when it came out 2 years after high school for me. The Album was a big hit back then.
Most likely the best music video ever made. In my opinion.
In the 1978 we danced from 8 o’clock at night until 2 o’clock in the morning to Michael Jackson and much much more
MJ was for real, he wrote all of this, and yes, at the time it was super popular
He was something else wasnt he ❤
He definitely had the vision for the video, but he DIDN'T write the song.

To give you an idea how larger this premier was, all 3 major US networks (ABC, NBC and CBS) all interrupted normal programming to show the premier of this video. I don't believe they ever did this for any music video. 1982 was the release year.
That's incorrect. It debuted on Friday Night Videos ONLY. I saw it that very night it was shown. It was promoted by Friday Night Videos a few weeks before it came out. That show was only on one channel.
Now, maybe later it was shown where ever else. But even MTV wouldn't show it because at the time they didn't cater to Black music. Regardless, it definitely spread like wildfire.
@@LokiDWolf Its debut was other than on MTV abroad, Thriller debuted in the US December 2, 1983, on MTV.

Thriller = the biggest selling Album Worldwide with over 120 Million Copies sold, certified Platinum 34 times + MJ broke another record only a Day after his 64th Birthday this Year which made him the first Singer in American History to own multiple Diamond Albums & Songs! A lot of people don’t know that MJ broke MASSIVE racial barriers worldwide with thriller! MTV wouldn’t play Black Artists because they weren’t "Rock enough". MJ changed that! MJ literally changed everything when he went Solo - it’s unbelievable what that Guy has achieved globally! October is definitely MJ Month. He owns the Spooky Season like no other! It was released in 1982 and was a short film feature directed by Hollywood director John Landis. MTV was only one year old by then and MJ took advantage of the platform to create and release this film as his marketing for the Thriller album.
I remember it being a HUGE deal when the hype was preceding the video premiere and everyone was glued to their TVs to watch it. MTV would then schedule certain time slots to show the complete video a couple times a day and I remember having thriller watching gatherings and would try to dance with the video. Ahhh the good ole days.

The best ever music video of its time
This released on prime time TV when it came out. Everyone was at home for it. Things like that don't happen anymore.
I was at a resort in the Caribbean with a huge auditorium and on the final night they did this and they were SUPER talented. The back up zombie dancers at the very end came out of the back and grabbed audience members by surprise it was so wicked to see it live man.
Bisscute got the moves
Haha thanks ❤️
This was very big at the time it came out in 1983 (December '82). Jackson was a big pop star, but this album was at number 1 on the charts of sales for 9 months straight. That was unheard of (I don't think it has ever been beaten...or maybe ever will. Back then, people generally bought whole albums, not just the songs they liked, but really every song on the album was pretty good to great. Thriller, Beat It, Billie Jean, Human Nature, PYT (Pretty Young Thing), Wanna Be Startin Something, The Girl Is Mine (with Paul McCartney), all are pretty well remembered and many albums had one or three good songs. This video was in particular a big deal because it was the first major release to have a good budget and a lot of eefort put into it. Usually videos were kinda boring before Thriller.
you had the same reaction I saw in the bar the night it played on MTV. Every girl got up and danced and tried to learn the Zombie, it was 1983
I think Michael Jackson's songs with the music video it's just another experience
It's hard to explain the importance of this video. Even though it's not my typical genre, this video changed music videos forever. Not an ultra MJ fan but there's just no way to deny the fact that his music and vision literally changed the world of music. They brought in Vincent Price, who is a horror movie legend to add to the special effects and incredible dance moves. (for it's time) It's become an iconic video that's lasted four decades already. Love him or hate him, MJ and Thriller was a "game changer".
Yep still the best selling album 💿 of all times underneath Whitney Houston’s bodyguard soundtrack during that decade
Hey Bisscute, loved your reaction! I especially enjoyed the moment when Michael turns into a zombie and they start to dance,it was lovely seeing you getting sucked into the movie at that point. For a brief moment there it was as if you had totally forgot that you were recording and you just started to move and mimicing Michaels moves. Just like so many of us have done before!😊 At one point you asked if this was big when it was released,it was. Nothing like this had been seen before, everyone knew about Thriller! And the album is still the best selling album world wide, with around 70-100million copies sold (depending on sources). Would love to see you reacting to more of Michael, maybe do the original Smooth Criminal since you have watched the Alien antfarm one:) Or his first ever moonwalk during his live version of Billie Jean at the Motown anniversary. Cheers!

As someone who lived through most of his lifetime I will say that it is sometimes hard to view MJ the musician and performer alongside the various weird and tragic things that were happening behind the scenes and later in his life. I think that his music and performance will firmly eclipse everything else over the longer stretch of time.
The premier of this was one of those instances in life where you can remember exactly what you were doing and where you were when it happened.
I LOVE your reaction! More Michael, please. :)
There are no words to describe how important Michael Jackson and his songs were to pop music and to so many young people. He shaped pop music. The song "Thriller" comes from his debut album of the same name as a solo artist in 1983. He was previously part of the "Jackson Five". It was very difficult for him as a child and he suffered a lot from his father. I don't think he could get over that in his life. Michael Jackson was a unique, highly talented artist. What pleases me is that even today many young people are still enthusiastic about his music.
This came out in 1982 when MTV was just exploding. To say that this was a huge hit is an understatement.

Love your reaction to this song! I remember when "Thriller" first came out. It was the coolest song released in 1984 as a single and the album was released in 1982. There was nothing else out there like it at the time and this song was playing all the time. There's a violinist by the name of Lindsey Stirling who was 2 yrs old at the time "Thriller" was released and she came to liking this song so much that when she became an artist herself many years later that she wanted to write a song along the same style as Michael Jackson's song and she wrote this one, its an instrumental with dancing.
