Thanks to my neighbour i was raised listening to music like this. I can now recall all those nights at his home, he used to drink and smoke, and me, i would, as a eleven years old child who knows nothing about music, jump around trying to understand what's that all about. He would say, there is nothing to undestand, it's all about feeling good while listening to something like this. After all these years i think i can now feel in his heart of hearts and see what his eyes could see and all this thanks to music like this...

It must be nearly half a century since I first heard these two - and I still love them! Thanks ST&BM for what you gave the world.

Sonny & Brownie at the top of their game. It just doesn't get any better than this. Cloud 9.

Yesterday i approached this song in my father's ear, suffering from alzheimer's, no reaction.
It was throught him that formerly Sonny Terry "was part of the family" ... sadness and nostalgia 😢

I saw them at a club on sunset late 60s/early 70s.
Got to hang out with them after the show, drinking milk with whiskey in it.

Probably Early-Mid 1970s _Old Grey Whistle Test,_ when they were still using _that_ famous studio. :) Lemme check.... EDIT: Yes, just found out that it was the _OGWT_ from 05/06/73.
