- Let me introduce you to my very first convertible - the brand new Aston Martin DB11 V8 Volante 2019 plate.
This is not a full review of Aston’s New DB11 V8, but a quick introduction to my brand new Super GT. It's a Volante Drop Top.
The DB11 is the first product of ‘Second Century’ plan.
This car is all NEW - GONE is the old VH platform, the car is now built upon a new bonded aluminium shell, lighter and stronger, but most importantly, now Aston are in a technical Partnership with Mercedes Benz, and now they have their hands on the EPIC 4.0 V8 BiTurbo from the AMG GT, this is the same engine that's in my 2018 V8 Aston Martin Vantage.
And this V8 Volante version brings big sound and drama to the already brilliant DB11 formula! The Coupé V8 is said to be “a refined and comfortable GT with a more sporting bias”: I can certainly agree the drop top does not lose any of the characteristics of the DB11 Coupe. Partnering with AMG, the engine is sublime and being lighter than the V12 DB11 the car feels far more balanced and dynamic.
Finished in burnt orange and black leather, with highlight orange stitching, it is certainly a stunning car.

It's absolutely gorgeous. I'm glad to be binge watching as I'm seeing those I didn't know about. My mother had an Opel in a very similar colour.

Sport + equals sound of perfection!
For picture perfect Aston I would remove wind deflector and add some wooden panels to the dashboard.
But the sounds is just breathtaking... you will get ASBO in Central London for using Sport +

Beautiful car, so much more classy looking than a Ferarri.
However, does buying so many cars so quickly diminish the ownership experience, in that they no longer feel special if you can buy them at the drop of a hat.
Also at 3.58 is that a scratch between the headlight and bumper moulding or just a reflection?

I would say they all have there individual purpose and actually moving between cars makes each one feel special, rather than getting used to one. I am very privileged and grateful I’m able to do this.
