This was super helpful. Most videos discourage cleaning the cyclone, but even if you do everything suggested, the smell gets in the cyclone! It doesn't make sense not to clean it! Great video. Gave me hope!

Is there a way to clean the hose or is it necessary ?If I just do all the other parts as shown ?This is the same vacuum I have and it smells horrible?

The hose can hold a lot of smell. I would clean it with a radiator brush and dish soap

Can I wash the hose. I got a used Dyson and she said it didn't work... Well she had a dog... And the hose is filthy... I'm sure that's not helping the smell either

Yes. I used dish soap and a long tube like brush to wash out vacuum hoses
