    Looking good mate, great video! 👍 Just seen a guy online today using a power head connected to tubing coiled inside an old beer fridge on the cooling circuit of an Inkbird, bit mad but worked 😂

    Great watch, didn't realise I'd been ripped off with my DD fans 🤣😂. £20 is an extra coral!. Good practical advice. 👍

    Brilliant video Tris, some great tips there, I dont have that issue up in Scotland very often haha but I do have the same boyu fans (I got the twin set up) and like you say they are half the cost of the DD ones which are a complete rip off, I also have mines mounted on the rear chamber for the rare day they might be needed haha!

      Haha yeah I can imagine mate 🥶
      I could understand the increase in price of it better components were used but it's literally the same unit branded with DD 🤯

    Nice vid again bud. I have just fitted these cheaper fans to my Max Nano. They are doing a great job. I think they worked out £26 cheaper than the DD branded !!

      Crazy price difference isn't it 🤯 same unit for twice the price... Shocking!

    I have the same fan and used an old tmc reeftide power supply it's now turbocharged! It extremely loud but much more effective than the original power supply it will probably reduce its life though.

    With the cabinet doors you could either put air vents on them or replace them with white mesh.

    I have been doing the ice bottles in the sump for the last few days but its just not cutting - i am getting a swing of 0.9 - to a full degree
    With the GHL Fans can you hook them up to the D-D Controller or not?
    Another useful video mate

      Yeah my GHL fans have been non stop today. That's right mate, they can either be plugged directly into the DD temp controller or directed through the Profilux 4

    I used to buy the Boyu cheap fans that say they are for aquariums, but I found they get alot of salt inside which destroys them, maybe that was just me. I now have a GHL fan, so see how that goes this summer.

      @NanoTankReefer  Před 3 lety

      I have the same issue, I clean them every few weeks during the summer. My GHL fans also have a bit of salt on them but given the construction of them I'm not too concerned

    Do lots of people in the UK with reefs not have air conditioning?

    • @NanoTankReefer
      @NanoTankReefer  Před 3 lety +1

      Most homes in the UK don't have air conditioning, the climate really doesn't require it 🥶

    I have these . Decided after last year loosing coral isn’t gonna happen this year .

      Other than being a bit loud they are great fans. I have also had my fair share of losses from the tank being too hot during the summer 😢
