SHARKS Kept Eating Our Tunas (Hatteras NC Trolling/Jigging/Popper)

  • Super fun day offshore fishing in Hatteras North Carolina. Got bites in many different ways, but getting the fish to the boat was impossible at times. Drop a comment below if you've had success using any particular methods to land tunas around sharks.

    Cleaning fish again huh Nolan?
    Those sharks have definitely learned how to make a good living since jigging for tunas started 25 years ago. Best to wait for the popper bite.

      Popper seems to be by far the best way to land tuna in sharky water. In my experience we land most yellowfins on it even when sharks are really bad on the troll. Think the low diameter braid may let them swim away faster and sharks give up.
