Great outlook on life brother. My daughter had stage 4 cancer when she was 20 months. Fixing to turn 12 years old now. Still doing good . I thank God for the time he lets me have with her. She loves fast cars! I’ve always had a car project going. She loves to hear the tires rip. Hope that boy grows up to ride with ya and gets the fever for speed like you.
We're thankful for every moment. Thank you for sharing your story. Wish you and your daughter the best.
What a treasure you have with your son Luke. My niece and my cousin both had open heart surgery as baby's and are doing well into there twenty's. All the best to you and your family.
Tim the spannerman thanks, we're praying for the best but taking it day by day
Congratulations to you and Ev! Good luck Luke!
Alec Berlin thanks
That car is so badass. Love those old datsuns/nissans! Nice donuts and congrats on the baby.
First and foremost a prayer for baby Luke and your family. Hope he has an excellent recovery and wish your family a happy Christmas.
luis montoya thanks! He's got a long road ahead with a few more surgeries still.
Thank u for vids-really enjoy waching- im 54 year old- fully disabled now- cant put wiper blades on our car- but my Dad owned an Amoco station with 2 bays- 1 lift- started wrenching at 12- oil changes and minor stuff- with him watching over me! Then moved up to tune-ups , exhausts, tires and brakes by 16 - then through the years- doing trans and engine installs and 24 hrs dispatched tow truck driver- could usually diaganose problem of vehicle before I got it up on the old Holmes 440 wheel lift!- got out of the biz- but def did alot of backyard stuff like you guyz- changing chevy turbo 400 tranny on the ground- 24 degrees and snowing- fun times- keep it up guyz!!
Twisters Music Radio thanks, sorry to hear you can't wrench any more. Take care!
Nice job, very happy the baby Luke is doing okay, will keep prayin for yous all.................
I'm glad it all held up but I thought it would. Congrats on the birth of baby Luke. I'm pleased to hear he and the rest of your family are doing as well as be be expected. I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year :-)
TheMrShinagami yup, so far so good. Thanks, you too!
sweet video as usual man! hope you and family are good thoughts are with you and your family!!
Stay as close as you can and hold his little hand as much as you possibly can. Your close presence makes a huge difference to survival. I know, I've been there.
CerebusTV we try to. He just got out of surgery yesterday and is still under sedation with his chest open untill the swelling goes down. So I've been staying away from him because I have a cold and if anything happened to him I'd never forgive myself. Hardest thing I've ever had to do. Our channels Facebook page has a current picture of him, but I'll warn you, it's heart breaking.
Great video, great life. Have a great day.
Happy to hear your wife is good and congrats on your baby being born! Prayers that the following procedures all go well for your baby bro! Prayers for you and your family man!
MERRY XMAS
Retired Tony 1970 thanks. Posted a current picture of Luke on the channels Facebook page, but I'll be frank, it's heart wrenching. We're all praying for him.
i bet it is brother... praying for a good and healthy recovery if it all. When my son was born in 98 we spent 6 months in and out of children's hospital cause he had a tyroid problem that was detected early...scary stuff to see him under all these machines and treatment...then my daughter was born in 98...issue with her heart...treatment follow ups too. Hang in there man...praying for the best!
This guy for sure knows how to have fun.
Live life. You only live once and you never know which day is your last
Sweet ripping through the gears. Well done!
Retromotive Garage thanks!
The best hydraulic release bearing test on you tube,,, you where getting good possi traction back there also.
Yup, thanks! good fun
congratulations stay strong.hope everthing go good
jon jim good as can be anyway. Thanks!
God bless baby luke he looks like a fighter. Keep the faith man our thoughts and prayers from the UK
Harvey Mushman thanks! We'll be praying too.
Love those Datsun Z cars. I used to work at a Datsun dealership in the early 80s and my job was to keep all the used cars clean. Around 11am I would always find a Z that I wanted to take out to lunch LOL! I would give that the extra cleaning treatment. I never got caught until one day I took a 280zx (never liked those) out and my boss was waiting for me when I came back; he warned me to never do that ... and when running errands take the B210s!!! Damn!!!
Yeah they're fun cars
Cool Mod. Glad to see you staying busy, man. Keep on keeping on ;)
1stTactless definitely going to keep doing that.
Baby Luke looks great! I truly hope you all the best on the procedures.
slowdaze I didn't post what he looks like now... It's heart wrenching. He's got a long road ahead of him.
Invincible Extremes Muscle Cars Garage ...... CONGRATULATIONS. I wish you and your whole family the best of luck. I'm glad to hear baby Luke and your wife are doing great. You guys are in my prayers. Stay safe my friend. Good Bless.
Old coinchaser thanks.
Man that is rough. I have 3 children and have had scares with each of them. 2 of them required hospital stays. Good luck to you and Luke's doctors, may their hands be sure and swift. I can't wait to see baby Luke riding around in one of your crazy adventures.
God Bless you guys and your Baby! Merry Christmas!
Spanners Auto & Computer Repairs thanks!
Good luck to y'all!!
Congrats on your new son.
Carolina Man thanks, hes going to have a long road ahead of him.
great video this'll help me put an m21 behind my Pontiac 461
Great Video and nice work installing a manual transmission and not wussing out with an automatic. Automatic Transmissions are directly responsible for the wussification of America. Congratulations on the new boy! Keep up the great work.
Shady Jake thanks. Nothing wrong with a manually shifted race auto, but it couldn't be a road race car with it... and it just created extra heat I didn't want. A 4 speed manual is lots better
Invincible Extremes Muscle Cars Garage Agreed, just like poking fun at automatics.
Shady Jake oh i whole heartedly agree. When we have "car guys" like Dude in blue (cool guy Btw) complain about lack of power steering in a 280z datsun... you know something's wrong. My wife Evelyn drives the monster firebird with manual brakes, no power steering and shifts it manually no issues even with 2.56 gearing.. which btw is no easy task. It is what it is man...
I think you can call it "displacement".All the best for you and your family!
Andrey Studentsov thanks
Keep driving that Z car in the rain, and it'll be swiss cheese in short time...Prayers for little Luke's complete recovery.
Thanks! Yeah it's already Swiss cheese. So I'm welding it together as needed and will keep driving it.
Right there wnen you shifted to 2nd i git subscribed! So cool car!
Thank You! I'm making it even better right now. And the steering wheel is on the right noa
Awesome. I was working on my car to see some videos about installing and bleeding the RAM HRB I was installing, and saw this. To my surprise, we are working on the same thing - a V8 240Z!!! I have T-5 with GForce gears/shafts in it.
You should see what I offer for the rear setup... world's strongest IRS stuffed into the datsun platform
I will take a look! Are you on HybridZ.org? I think I've seen your stuff there. I'm a "Retired Admin" there, one of the original members. I hardly post any more, 5087 posts though ;) Details on my car at alteredz.com LoL I didn't even notice I was already subscribed to your channel!! Old age!
Yeah I'm on hybrid... look for the super 8.8 thread
That was good information congratulations on your baby
Joshua RODRIGUEZ thanks, he was born with a fatal heart defect but we are doing everything we can for him. He has another surgery coming up in a couple days.
I hope everything goes okay with the surgery I work at Houston Methodist and I see a lots of surgeries that's pretty serious when it comes to open heart my mom had that last year before she passed away
Joshua RODRIGUEZ sorry to hear about your mom. Baby luke is 4 months old. His first open heart was at 6 days old. He doesn't have the left side of his heart. So it'll be a lifetime of surgeries for however long or short that is. But we're greatful for EVERY minute with him and are praying for a lifetime, Lord willing of course.
nice 4 speed conversion works great. I been praying for baby Luke.
shartne yeah, I decided to make a separate video on just the bearing, so chevy people needing the info don't lose the video in the datsun build series...
I swap my old Linkage clutch to same Speedmotor hydraulic throw out bearing ,,work great,,
JLSTHERAT sure does
how did you install your trans with your bell housing together
How well has this held up? I've been looking into swapping in a 4 speed into my 85 IROC. But the biggest issue was the clutch situation. I feel like I can do what you did to your Datsun. Currently in need of a new trans since my 700r4 does what they do best. This video makes it look doable lol.
Its very duable. Go watch my roadtrips on this datsun and you'll see for yourself i don't treat the car nicely, but have had no issues with this clutch setup over thousands of miles all over the west coast
@@InvincibleExtremes Sweet. I think I'm gonna run a Muncie or T10. You've given me a lot of insight. I've read of fourms that said the swap would be impossible because of the old school linkage. But this makes it look doable.
So can I run it by you? I get a Muncie 4 speed, correct flywheel/clutch for SBC, then the jegs part plus fluid lines, Wildwood 3/4 master cylinder, and then clutch pedals. That's all that is needed. And to work everything together.
Yeah you might have to cut the floor for the shifter linkages, but the throwout bearing shouldn't really be a problem.
I got a 97 z71 I ls swapped I'm tired of blowing up transmissions so I'm swapping in a muncie 4spd I wonder if this would work
Sick
Dee Devlin thanks
So I have a 66 nova with 355 sbc and doing a transmission conversion, I was going to do mechanical clutch but think I will do hydraulic. Just purchased a super t10 and now needing parts. What all can you think of that I’ll need to make it work. I’ll be using 11in clutch and bellhousing.
Brittany Yost you can use all these same parts and do fine. You'll need a pedal of course, but besides that, everything I did will work for you
I just put this in my Corvette. I measured from the fingers to the block then from the face of the bellhousing (engine side since my bellhousing is on the transmission. I couldnt use any shims. I have a Saginaw 3 speed. I have a little preload on the bearing right now because the measurements are almost dead even.
Glad it worked out for you.
@@InvincibleExtremes I'm not sure if it will or not.
Ah ok. Yeah it worked for me no issues
@@InvincibleExtremes I have the same setup you have and couldn't use ANY spacers. I got the difference down to 1/16 but in the wrong direction. Wish I could send you a picture of what I have. I'm going to just send it. If it goes bad I can fix it easy enough.
What kind of adapters on the bleeder lines did you use ? Gonna start this project asap
Speedway sells the adapters and the hoses too.
will this replace the old z bar setup? im looking to put a ls in my 4 speed camaro, but the ls motors don't have the provision for the z bar ball stud.
Yes it does
Quick question, what clutch and pressure plate kit is that? And will it fit on a 327 chevy? I believe I have a 10.4" fly wheel.
Juan Rodriguez it's a 153 tooth flywheel, and it's a 10.4 clutch and pressure plate. A cheapie eBay special. Was around a 100 bucks. Works great
I am doing the same set up in my 69 chevy c10 truck. It was an auto to begin with. My question is did you have a problem with your pedal over traveling the master cylinder? Is there a certain travel length to you had to set to keep from over pressuring the cylinder or are you just going off feel?
I didn't, but i can definitely see how that would be an issue with a bigger master cylinder maybe
Im running a 3/4 bore master so if you have any idea that would be great. This is my first to to convert from auto to manual. So any info help. Thank you sir for your time
sure thing
BLooD 4 GeeK thanks.
How is all this working now.. I want to do the same thing for my chevelle with a t-10 4 speed. i am kind of skeptical that i can do it. I seen kits for $500.00 Mcleod thorw out bearing.
It worked amazing for many thousands of miles. I took that car apart to fix the rust, but i wouldn't hesitate to buy this kit again.
What throwout bearing is being used in the video?
I got a 1979 chevy c10 with the 4 speed , is this set gonna work for it ?
No idea sorry. That depends on which 4 speed it is
That datsun in the background though
That's what I put the 4 speed into. Watch the videos, I just drove 1,000 miles up the West coast in it.
Can you provide the part number you use from speedway? Awesome video, prayers for your family.
Juan Rodriguez 910-25610 is the part number
Invincible Extremes Muscle Cars Garage, thanks, did you get the flex lines from speedway also? My going to order it for my 67 camaro I covered to a 4 speed..
Juan Rodriguez yes, I used two "external bleeder hoses" and a 2 pack of -4 AN to 3/8-24 inf female adapters. All in all, excluding the master it was $150 ... and the master was less than $40
Invincible Extremes Muscle Cars Garage, thanks your videos help out a lot...
I'm just about to get my car converted the sa.e way you did it but I just don't understand how the throwout bearing stays put on the tranny
There's a stud
What Rearend Did You Use I Your Z Car. That's What We Used In My Chevy LUV Truck We Call Te NightCrawler.
You want the super 8.8 swap i designed and sell kits for. Hands down the strongest, most reliable setup, and it's what i replaced this garbage r200 with. I have videos and pictures of the setup on my Instagram and on here as well.
@@InvincibleExtremes that's funny that's basically what we use in my Chevy LUV truck we call Te NightCrawler Because Come To Life After TE Sun Goes Do . I live in the San Francisco East Bay they are changes quite a bit at.
Where did you get the clutch kit? Also where did you get the throwout?
Speedway
How much lighter does it make the pedal action ? Do they make them for Ford application ? Cheers man
Not lighter at all, just smoother
My ford trucks for example all have hydraulic bearings and they work just fine
@@InvincibleExtremes Cheers mate for the reply, much appreciated.
Do you have a link for the -4 to the inverted flare fitting? I'm going with the same setup on my car and. I found the bearing and the 2 lines on speedways website. I just cant find that addapter
2124reading it's called -4 an male 3/8-24 inverted flare female. Was easy to find, but just in case, let me take a look.
2124reading www.speedwaymotors.com/Straight-3-8-Inch-24-IFF-to-AN-4-Male-Adapters,6472.html
What are the benefits of having hydraulic vs manual clutch
I prefer manual... no fluid issues ever
I miss my old school combat boots? not so good on ice! I need 6x-4 ? x2 and a day off? You know of a pont 350 laying around that wont miss it's heads?
Prayers with Luke! My babies in prison? Do everything you can for them, even when they fuck up. Thoughts and prayers, Merry Christmas
DayRider76 yeah, LUKE is going to have a hard road ahead of him. But we're all pulling for him.
so where you located in Oregon? I go out to the Eugene/Springfield area for work occasionly, be cool to meet sometime!
joe adams when I'm in Oregon I'm in Portland. And I'm rarely in oregon
Just wondering, looked like you had Oregon plates on the car.
joe adams keep an eye on our channels Facebook page, we always announce when and where we are, so coming out to say hi would be very doable.
What size is your clutch master? Throw and bore size?
Its an 86 cj7 clutch master.
Test the shit out of that thing huh? Good job
It worked great. I drove this car like this for many thousands of miles up and down the west coast
I'm trying to use my Borg Werner in a 92 pickup and I'm pretty sure I'm going to use the kit you used, cheap but looks like it's pretty good. You think a jeep slave on the firewall or should I use something different?
Just use the jeep slave. Because then you never have to worry about finding replacement parts later...
Hay mate i can't say much this time around on the video as it's still not working at my end but hope all is well with the family chats soon bro
Wayne's Garage thanks, doing what we can.
yeah i here you there mate been doing the same trying to get work in and put in for another job the other day as a forklift driver again so hope to here back about there.
been good have helped out two guys the other day one that asked me if i was able to make a video on the template for the letters and he sent me a gift for the help as well and the other guy that sent me that gauge the other week is sending me another one so that gauge should be in the post this week coming and was mate hope all is well and stuff seeing this video still not working have no idea why but thats cool you gave me another idea for a video as well as my ute is an old three speed i have a spare there that i maybe able to do a video on as well take care mate till next time keep the rubber side down.
wayne
its a wonder he still are allowed to have the vehicle registration plate on this car after all the madmax hackery he have done to this point welded rust bucket..
What model number Muncie did you put in the Z?
Remedy Z one for a 68 camaro. 27 spline m20 wide ratio. 10 spline input. Not sure off hand what the casting number is but it's the m20 after 1966... hope that helps. Had to make a hump for the shifter though, or would have needed a custom set of linkages. As is. I moved the shifter back 8 inches, and added that much to each shift rod....
Would the speedway throwout bearing work with a ram clutch?
Not sure sorry
How did you bleed it? I just installed the same one I bleeded all the air out a d still.cant get the throwout bearing to engage. Any tips would be appreciated
Need proper clearance first. And I used an extended bleed hose setup. No issues for thousands of miles
@@InvincibleExtremes I have between .050 and .100 . When I filled resvor up and pumped clutch I used the same setup with an extended bleeder hose. The throwout bearing isn't pushing in the clutch fingers.
Might have to bench bleed first, if there's so much air it doesn't ever compress it won't push bubbles out... start by bleeding the master, then go from there
this is cool ,But like to see stuff on Pontiac , Not to many people work on them any , They just throw in a ls motor and now it a junk chevy
steve ballard doing what we can ;-) still have our 68 firebird and 67 tempest I'm slowly gathering more parts for
T5 Borg Warner,
1968 firebird ...
Да, согласен. Возможно когда-то сделаю "свап" на 5.7, но пока довольствуюсь 2.8 на механике Т5.
Ok nvm speedway throwout bearing got it
Exterminatingtraper Yup, that's the one. Been about 5,000 or more miles so far and it works great
I have a 350 and I wanna convert to a 4speed or 5 speed manual trans what do u recommend???
4 speed all day. Muncie or t10
@@InvincibleExtremes
Cool thanks man
What kinda bell housing would fit for the 350 chevy
On a muncie
The muncie bellhousing is the same as the other 4 speed and 3 speed bellhousing. So thankfully they are easy to find
@@InvincibleExtremes
Kool so it wouldn't matter what year
As long as they are from the 80s-90s
Do you have the part numbers
It’s like 145 bucks online now fyi
yup
So I just installed the speedway bearing in my 4x4 and upon putting fluid in the brand new unit is leaking. So now I have to pull the motor again to get it out....
Ol'Blue71 K20 oh man that sucks. Mine hasn't given me a bit of trouble. What part number btw, so I can keep an eye out
Invincible Extremes Muscle Cars Garage it was the $97 gm 3 and 4 speed stock clutch kit. I called today and they were amazing, sent me a return label and offered a replacement, refund or exchange.
Ol'Blue71 K20 I'm glad they took care of you. Hope the next one doesn't give you any trouble, mine hasnt.
Invincible Extremes Muscle Cars Garage I have opted to use a slave cylinder to operate the original clutch fork. I ain't taking this motor out again!
Ol'Blue71 K20 I believe you. Sucks when a random product ruins things for you. An external slave is definately easier to change.

BLooD 4 GeeK thanks
What's the total investment and hours. This has been a Great series. Great job.
Codey Hanna honestly, I don't even know. Just came back from the desert after spending another 3 days working on it. Roughly spent around 5k... But that's not including gas and time spent going places to work on it.
Invincible Extremes Muscle Cars Garage That's a fantastic budget for that.
Codey Hanna best thing to do is stop counting and enjoy. I spent so much on my 68 firebird that I just don't care any more. Never selling any of the cars so it's ok
Invincible Extremes Muscle Cars Garage My budget is slim these days. Knowing your in for 5k so far is comforting
Codey Hanna you can score one of these in rough shape for 1.5k... then weld on it for days with a 169 dollar welder and just throw some 150 dollar flares on it and some 350 dollar wheels and have the coolest wip around... mines a v8 4 speed monster so it obviously wasn't cheap... But if you man up, you can get one for a steal if you aren't afraid of rust...
is this set up still running?
Yup. Thousands of miles with no issues
Just curious, what ind of rpm do you turn on the highway?
60 is 3k. Not happy with that so I'm now going to be using a 3.31 gear set in the super 8.8 conversion.
Invincible Extremes Muscle Cars Garage
Guy I know has a gear vendors for sale ( for a muncie) if you’re interested
Lol. I did my entire swap for the price of one. Running a mild gear is better for me. If this was a heavy car maybe i would try it.
Invincible Extremes Muscle Cars Garage / no worries,
You have any experience with the NV3500 out of the s10?
No experience with that no. At the hp levels I'm aiming for, it won't work
Can anyone please give me some part numbers?
Literally in the description
@@InvincibleExtremes I’m looking at the description and I don’t see any part numbers
