For the people who keep finishing with 56 out of 58 boxes, there are two hidden boxes in the part where you jump into the hole where the bear falls down. When you get to the checkpoint and get the aku-aku create, there are two extra live boxes above you
This probably my favorite chase level in all the crash games, them polar bears are just more terrifying then the boulders or triceratops oh and plus you get to ride Polar in the stage

Yeah i have to be agree with you,i played this game on my PC by using ePSXe emulator but this one isn't one of my favourite ones,i prefer crash bandicoot 3 warped that have beaten this so many times and crash team racing,these two are my favourites ones,but crash bandicoot 2 and crash bandicoot 1 don't like me and crash bash is more difficult.
I fucking hate those chase levels in this game during my childhood, either you got roll over, or owned by landmines->shoes flying off the screen or killed by that bear
They should have kept N. Sanity Island and Wumpa Island as part of the background of the Secret Warp Room in the N. Sane Trilogy, it would have been perfect.
2:33 That's odd. You seemed to have been speeding through the game until this point as we saw you skip lives earlier but here, you actually make an effort to fully extract all the wumpa from those boxes rather than simply breaking them by spinning.
Im missing 1 box and I have NO idea where it its. yeah ive taken the 2 hidden boxes and for what I can tell, ALL the boxes but the counter still says 57/58...
And i found the answer. After the bear falls down into the dark abyss you go down with him then once u go thru the stage the 2nd aku aku box there are 2 extra live boxes hidden above the air. U have to jump high to see it!

i noticed the modern versions are nerfed with speed and camera views how far you can see.
i noticed this guy didnt even use a green box trick. If you go to this box in 3:02 before jumping in the hole the death route becomes much easier.
