Diggin' It's theme is semi-new. It's based on the winter themes of Crash Dash, Crash Crush, and Un-Bearable.
Except this time, Crash is heading away from the camera instead of towards it, because there's nothing here to chase after him...
Expect for those goddamn bees. He's allergic to them, but they can be attacked. Just don't let them sting him. There's also special red ground that Crash can dig under to protect himself from the bees.
If you are to complete this stage in one sitting, you're going to have to backtrack from a fork road without dying at all. When you reach the fork, go right first. When you reach the end of that path, carefully make your way back to the beginning of the split and take the Skull Route on the left.
This would probably be a bit easier had there not been any breakable Crates in the Skull Route. You'll find the challenge Gem, there, but you need to reach the Skull Route if you wanna get the crate Gem, too.

After beating the level, Coco tries to talk to Crash again, once again very limited to how much time she has to do this.
All Crash learns from her this time is that Cortex has finished preparing a space station, and that there's something funny about the things he's told Crash.
Lastly, right before she cuts out, Coco warns her brother of tricks, most likely from Cortex himself.

This level so pretty. My fave though is definitely bee havin'!!!!!
Oh yes, the bee winter frost levels. Digging it is the bane of my existence of this whole game in terms ofq getting everything. It’s legit the worst level for me for getting all the boxes. Cold Hard Crash and Piston It Away are annoying for their reasons don’t get me wrong, but at least they don’t have you backtracking in 3D.
I must commend you sir, you are far braver at this than I am because you actually ignored the Skull pad and went ahead for the right of the fork right away. I normally touch that first and suicide just to get it out of my way. Something else I personally also do is deliberately ignore the C boxes when going forward in the right path, break most of the boxes and get the checkpoints going back.
Yeah, I could understand if some of you called this method wimpy but it’s how I like to clear this level, and even then I’m not out of the woods because of the constant stopping and going with the bees and electric fences. Ugh!
I GET they needed to make the levels harder as the game progressed but Jesus, calm down Naughty Dog. Also, these levels aesthetically felt kinda lazy and stitched together. They’re just slower paced boulder/chase levels.
Anyway, apologies but I had to rant about this not fun level in a space that I knew I could. Happy gaming and thank you for this wonderful tutorial For young people getting into the franchise. XD
