- Disclaimer: I bought the phone myself to explore and test it out. This is my honest review for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, a phone that offers a lot with a few feature gaps that flagship smartphones have... still a powerhouse device. The only thing I don't agree with Samsung on this phone is the name they put. It would be better if they called it the S20 Lite, hence the similar camera bump and using last year flagship's chipset.

Really well made video man! Was just also wondering how videos at night were, for both front and rear facing cameras?
Hi, thanks. Videos at night regarding rear camera come out a little grainy and show chromatic aberration especially in dark pitch areas and also when there is action such as cars driving the camera will introduce blurriness into frames by lowering the shutter, but focus is solid. The front camera you may expect any element I mentioned above in a worse degree plus less light since it's a smaller sensor.

Hi, thanks! I'd advise you to go with the S10 Lite for a few reasons: has a larger camera sensor, uses Snapdragon 855 chipset which process better camera pictures and doesn't get hot (versus Exynos on the Note 10 lite). And last but not least, you get a much better battery life. Hope it helps!

kindly help me to reach at a decision regarding camera quality.
1.Note 10 lite has got duel pixel technology whereas S10 lite does not have. Is duel pixel technology a gimmick?
2.Most of the reviewers say that macro camera in S10 lite is not of much use and tele lens in note10 lite is much useful.
3.I have seen a video where S20 plus gives almost comparable result to iphone 11 pro. Is it real worth to invest for S20 plus as far as cameras are concerned.
4.What about pixel 3a which has single lens camera.
I wish to create some videos in closeup shots for painting, and product photography. Can a smartphone serve this purpose.
1: Dual Pixel PDAF technology is superior to PDAF alone. Dual Pixel focuses to objects real fast and is great for action shots. Just so you know, the Dual Pixel is an extension of PDAF to make it better. Nonetheless S10 Lite isn´t bad at all.
2: This could eat some discussion and this totally depends on the person. I myself have never found telephoto lens useful. I like to get closer by feet to secure image quality unless talking about periscope telephoto level like the Huawei P40 Pro, which by the way I just dropped a camera test comparison against the iPhone 11. However, the macro sensor on the S10 Lite could totally be appreciated by people who love to take macro shots for macro photography and the image that comes out of it is clean!
3: Yes, the S20 Plus has a great camera, but only if you go for the Snapdragon version. The Exynos one is terrible at camera processing which degrades image quality. I am not sure why Samsung does this split, but the Snapdragon version makes a huge difference, even though they sell for the same price. The Exynos version not only sucks at image quality, but also overheats, hence poorer battery life.
4: Pixel 3a offers fantastic image quality, but it lacks the ultrawide. I find the ultrawide lens very useful and for me would be a deal breaker in today´s smartphone standards. Other than that, the Pixel 3a has a great camera!

Hi, my advice is to go for the Google Pixel 4a if we're talking camera quality. The Pixel 4a is newer, comes with the latest Snapdragon chipset and has way more reliable and regular software updates than Samsung. Both smartphones will offer you awesome user experience regarding IG, Snapchat and other apps. Now, there's a few areas where S10 Lite kills the Pixel 4a. (1)One is battery life. The S10 Lite will last you almost double than the Pixel 4a! (2)Display is much better and larger on the Samsung. (3)Camera lenses. With the S10 Lite you get two extra lenses: ultrawide and macro photography, while Pixel 4a only offers one camera lens (27mm wide). However, camera image quality and software wise, the Pixel 4a is no brainer. Hope this helps. Cheers from Italy!

Samsung essentially uses a nicer display with Super AMOLED as opposed to OLED on the Pixel. Both smartphones share the same resolution though with a little different aspect ratio, but Pixel 4a should give you crispier display quality per inch at 443ppi, while the S10 Lite offers only 394ppi. With that being said, all the apps and pictures on screen will look much sharper on the Pixel 4a. Cheers!

Great video! I was about to buy S10 Lite but I am now confused 🤣 i had Note 10 Plus Samsung but it broke :/ i need something cheaper but with a very good camera. I dont need great battery etc but camera must be good. I shot short macro clips with my Apexel lens and need great autofocus. Does that phone have good autofocus???
Hi, thanks! During day, yeah the S10 Lite does have a quick autofocus, but shutter speed ain't that fast as a flagship. Have you considered the Google Pixel line-ups? You get great camera quality out of those and they have really dropped in price!

Reasons for S10 Lite: bigger screen, better display, ultrawide/macro camera, much better battery life.
Reasons for SE 2020: water resistance, faster processor, stereo speakers, better camera quality, wireless charging.

Here's an interesting thing I've heard recently and started to believe myself - I heard a lot of people complaining to me how they lost their iphone to sauna (this usually happens when they see me there with a samsung in my hands) A few of them mentioned how people who fixed their iphones told them that iphones aren't actually as waterproof and "etc-proof" as the company claims. Water would usually get in through the small holes around the volume buttons and camera would be the first thing to go as it tends to be the closest to the buttons. S10 lite or S20+ (Exynos)? Can you feel resolution difference between 394 ppi and 525 ppi? How bad speaker difference?
S20+ is much better in any department (except battery they're neck to neck). If you can get the S20+ don't think it twice.
@@HenriUnzip Actually I looking phone with battery durability :D. In my further research i've found S20+ battery durability shorter than S10 lite because that phone has 120 hz refresh rate but can be change to 60 hz. Comparing both in 60 hz their difference cut half from almost 24 hour to 13 hour. But any good thing about exynos? Most of people said that chip easily heat, it perform 10% less than snapdragon, and more expensive than snapdragon even Korean market get snapdragon instead of exynos
Exynos scores very purely against Snapdragon and not just performance speed, but also camera performance. But back to S10lite and S20+, the benchmarks are higher on the Exynos, bc it is newer from last year's snapdragon, hence faster CPU speed and more memory bandwidth. The S20+ uses also much faster transfer speeds with UFS 3.0. In overall the S20+ is the smarter choice, especially now that priced have dropped. Let me know what are you going to choose in the end!

Pixel 3a XL offers better image quality, but lacks ultrawide lens, no 4k 60p, no 240fps slow motion and has an inferior chipset Snapdragon 670 in contrast to 855 in S10 Lite.

Look Zulfi, it will depend. There are factors to consider. Pixel 3a XL has better optics and camera quality, but you are limited to just one lens, while S10 lite offers ultrawide and macro photography. Another factor is memory, if you will take many pictures on your phone the S10 lite offers much more memory with the base model offering 128gb while Pixel 3a only 64gb. With the G.Cam selfies retain better colors and in general pictures look nicer for the S10 lite. Battery life is also another important factor where S10 lite shines! So it's up to you, hope it helps.

Ieri sono stato nello Store Samsung,e per più di un'ora ho provato in maniera compulsiva, ossessiva, il comparto fotografico.
In particolare mi sono incentrato sulla stabilizazzione ottica.
Confrontandolo con tutti i suoi fratelli maggiori.
Adesso, che ci crediate o no, l'ho trovato addirittura superiore ai suoi rinomati fratelli.
Gli scatti in macro poi,
una LIBIDINE!!!
Complice sicuramente il processore.
Un dispositivo senza troppi fronzoli, che va a togliere tutto quel superfluo (personalmente) NON necessario nella vita vera.
Dispositivo PROMOSSO, il più bel Samsung degli ultimi tempi.
Aspetterò l'uscita del Note 20 e poi valuterò l'acquisto.
