Vacuum sealer bags for mattress - comes 1 bag (like a giant Ziplock bag for your mattress), with 2 straps and 5 tag stickers. As long as there are no holes in the mattress bag, you can use it every time you need to move a mattress. Shrinks your mattress down to 80%.
Step 1 Unbox mattress bag and don't lose the clips
Step 2 Put the mattress bag on the long end of the mattress, valve side up
Step 3 Use the clip to seal the bag opening. Go over it twice and be sure it's air tight
Step 4 Remove valve lid and place vacuum nozzle over the valve
Step 5 Take the air out of the mattress bag - it took almost 10 minutes for this one. It should be faster with a foam mattress.
Step 6 Roll or fold mattress and secure with straps or get tie down straps.
Do not drag on concrete or street or it may rip or tear!
Great for moving a mattress or for storing a mattress! Can protect it from dirt, bed bugs and damage, in the garage, storage unit or anywhere. This will make it easier to put in a car or truck too and protect from rain, weather and more.

Hey I. Have sealy king mattress how many days can I keep it like vacuum & gold can I keep for 6 months like that
I used a similar product, and found it easiest to roll as I vacuumed.
When it first starts to compress, start rolling, add a weight or person ontop [or underneath one side if just starting).
Doing it like this removed more air than doing it flat, because it causes a void around the valve where air can easily be sucked out.
Remember to take breaks to allow your vacuum to cool.
Thanks for your tips!
Thanks.
Moving soon and I had this idea. Glad you beat me to it. Thanks for the tips
Thank you for going through the effort to create this video!
Thank you for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it.
I had no idea this existed! It’s going to be so useful once we move out.
I only have a foam mattress about 4 inches thick! This is so encouraging!
Did you try it?
The problem is you didn't use a powerful enough vacuum, try using a shop vac. I used a 6hp shop vac, and it pancaked my hybrid mattress with ease.
Thanks for the tip!
I'd also assume this works better on 100% foam mattresses since there aren't any spring and other non foam components in them. I am surprised how flat they got it.
I used a shop vac to shrink my giant beanbag 10/10
Hey there! Couple of questions. Does your hybrid contain springs? I see some hybrids don’t (mind does) and I want to vacuum seal mine if possible for an upcoming move. Were any of the springs displaced because of the vacuum seal? Did the bag maintain its seal for your trip? Thanks!
6hp vacuum cleaner not everyone has or can afford it but yeah that's the key to compress mattress properly - bags do 10% work, vacuum cleaner and forces do 90%.
With all vacuum-cleaner storage bags, it's recommended to push down on the bag so it flattens evenly, not just where the vacuum valve is.
Easier to say than to do...
You just have to put it on the floor before u pack it and walk all over it while the vacuum works it’s magic.
Thanks for making this video and showing me that it's not just me who struggles with this. I have a 12-inch memory foam mattress I tried something similar with that I left sealing for ~3 hours and got to around...maybe 3? But I didn't roll it up because my roommate said it should be flatter, and it re-inflated overnight. I see I should just let it get back to that point and force him to help me, haha.
You’re welcome. I really expected it to be easier! Yes, get him to help you!! A regular mattress bag, fold the mattress in half and tie it works best. For a foam mattress.
That helped me. I've ordered a new mattress that's been vacuum sealed and was worried it was too narrow. I know know that happens when it's vacuum sealed. I can breathe easy again as I just lugged it up three flights of stairs and don't want to have to return it.
Happy it helped! I moved mattresses for 3 years. Even king size. Up and down stairs, by myself.
Thanks a lot for sharing the video
Thanks for watching!
I need one of those bags
Show the detail of where you put in the vacuum hose. You definitely can squish out a lot more air. Suction it with mattress on floor so you can walk it constantly to squeeze out all the air. Put the straps around it before you roll it up and kneel on it and put all your weight on it as you're rolling it and then cinch the straps
I'm not heavy or strong enough to do that, it's way harder than you think!
Hi! Just wanted to ask/make sure, this mattress is a hybrid (foam-spring combo)? I have a basically brand new dreamcloud hybrid and keep seeing mixed reviews about being able to vacuum seal hybrids and potentially displacing the springs.
Also this looks like a good way to defunk a bed
Do you think this would work for a mattress with 6 inch springs? It also came in a box.
You probably could of compressed it alot more flatter to roll it. You could of also used winch straps to hold it down
I have a spring + foam mattress..can this work?
Please help . Mine is puffy lux queen moving out of state ? And planning to use vacuum bag. do you think it'd damage it ? Have you ever tried compressing Puffy matters ? how did it go ? How long compressed mattresses should stay ?
It’s my opinion that it will work but I would leave it flat and not roll or fold it. I have compressed a Puffy but not the lux. I would try not to leave it there for long.
However, I folded mattresses of all kinds for 3 years and they’d stay rolled for a month or longer. It’s just not advised by the bag company to us for spring mattresses.
My point is, I would, but I can’t say for sure if you should. Or in other words, at your risk.
This works best for mattresses without springs
For sure
Maybe when it's partially rolled, have someone sit on top of the rolled part and vacuum some more?
I'll give it a shot if I roll a mattress this thick again, thank you for the suggestion.
Supposed to roll and squish as you vacuum… that helps flatten it more.
Believe me I was trying to do that. It really is a workout!
I wonder how well this would work on a hybrid that didn't come rolled up in a box. I figure there'd be risk, but would it compress similarly?
No I wouldn't try that, it will likely ruin the mattress.
I wonder if a shop vac can be used for this.
Yes it’ll work
Any inputs regarding the what type of vaccums should be used to wrap the mattress.Any Vaccum recommendations please
An upright (not cordless) with a hose attachment is best. Shark makes them, Bissell, etc.
I would like to know if I could use a handheld vac for a twin mattress?
Unfortunately, I don't think so. But I haven't tried it. I should try it to be sure. Fewer people have upright vacuums...
How did you attached the vacuum hose??
You just hold it on the opening, it doesn’t attach to the bag.
Hi, which vaccum did you use for this?
It was a Kirby but any upright vacuum with a hose will work.
Mine did not …
How long did it take you to vacuum - I did 20 mins and only got it half way :(
It took a while. I should’ve timed it. But it will also depend on your vacuum suction and how well it fits the valve. Overall, it was harder to use than I expected.
You’d be surprised how much we are paying for air
What attachment did you use?
I wish I could remember but it's wasn't my vacuum. It was round at the end. Something that is about the same size as the opening...
Would this fuck up the springs, having ut folded and tied up for few weeks
It could and I mention that. I folded mattresses with springs to move them for years. They were mostly bed in a box type mattresses which come flattened and rolled up. These bags are meant for all foam mattresses. I wanted to test it on a thick mattress with springs.
Was it a specific vacuum?
It was my friend’s Hoover vacuum.
Hi how long can you keep it like that
I wouldn't store it that way, just long enough to move it. If you have an all foam mattress you could leave it for a few months (at your own risk, this is not tested, only what I've read).
does it work for spring mattress
There are a lot of types but the ones that come rolled in a box should work - because they were tightly rolled and they're usually not as thick. The mattress in the video has springs but the company doesn't advise it.
Where do you buy the bags

Does this work for a 14” dreamcloud mattress?
I don't think it will work on such a thick mattress.
Does this work on a mattress with springs?
It's harder and only for thinner mattresses that came rolled up. But that's why I tested it on a spring mattress. It worked great, just harder to roll.
didn't look like 80% but... better anyway. lol
Is that a spring mattress or foam mattress ?
A spring mattress. I wanted to test it but I recommend just using this for a foam mattress. It's really hard to do.
A good way to destroy a spring mattress. Compressing a spring mattress short-term might work but not roiling it or bending it in half will 100% damage any spring-loaded mattresses.
I did it for years...it's the only way we could transport heavy king size mattresses or get them through tight doorways and stairs.
Can I make a vacuum bag out of large garbage bags and duct tape? Can’t find these bags anywhere
It would be tough...check the link in the description. There are several on Amazon. Good luck!!
Can it be reused?
Yes, as long as it doesn't get a hole in it.
This method is not suitable for frameless (without spring) mattresses. Without a spring, the mattress will become smaller in length, width and height. The mattress cannot be rolled after a vacuum. It won't work out. I tried.
This only works of your vacuum has a hose. I have a dyson, it did not work.
That’s correct. It seems like fewer people have them now.
How tf would you do it without a hose lol
How many mil thick is this product?
They don’t list the thickness but my guess is it’s around a 5 mil and it’s substantial.
Where did you get it
It's in the description and here it is again - it's on Amazon: Vacuum Mattress Bag amzn.to/2TXqlEz (ad)
Amazon
Ur gonna bust the boards
*The thumbnail is 100% clickbait.* "This into this " showing paper thin strapped up..... whatever that is.
When the reality was *nothing* like that.
And two of you struggled to get it strapped, 10 x thicker than that picture. sigh... 😒
My photoshop skills aren't great and there was not an easy to way to show the goal or what the product does. I ask if it works in the title. I could've put a question mark on the thumbnail but it would give away the results of the test!
Looks like a waste. Of time and money
It’s pretty useful in certain situations.
To comress it more have several friends lay on the matress once you get to the 80% mark or place a 4x8 sheet of plywood on it and weight it down with a couple of hundred pounds.
It's a lot of work, I tried it again today and I couldn't get compressed enough to roll it. Too bad I don't have a bunch of people to lay on it but your comment makes me want to try it.
