Thanks Scotty for showing us those products. I like it when the products are backed by scientists that test good products and no gimmicks. Thank you again and have a great day. 😀
Ok. I like the stuff. Because in my old age I’m getting lazy and if all I have to do is spray it on wipe it off, that spells easy to me.
@UCCE-2n4P5ngZTOJDuogFi-w yeah if you have abrasive stuff on your car like rock dust, metal fragments, hell damn near anything. It can and prolly will scratch
Scotty continues to impress with common sense solutions and real science!
3:10, I cannot find silicone wiper blades for my 09 civic coupe effin anywhere ...lol
Scotty should be a GTA 6 Character or work at Los Santos customs
Dan Leon BRO YES!!
Please rockstar hear this
He probably already is
Dan Leon he sounds like Kent Paul!
He should be the getaway driver mechanic..
I think I've watched 30 Scotty videos in the last 3 days, I'm glad I found him
He's definitely entertaining and informative

Lmao!!!
Stop doing this immediately. *picture of you with the gas nozzle in your hand poised*
@USA STRONG LMAO!
Gas!? That's only good for washing your car, not running it! HA. HAAA!
😂😂😂💚
This guy is amazing he says that im doing everything wrong even cleaning my car
We're ALL doing it wrong according to Scotty, and we're also ALL stupid lol. I love Scotty.
😂
He's like a dad to everyone lol 🤘
You commented all wrong.
Your opinion is wrong.
"I haven't done this in a while scotty's been a bad boy" 😂
I've always said " Cars are a dime a dozen, but a good mechanic is hard to find", keep up the great work, Scotty!
Hey Scotty, I love the fact that you genuinely are a honest mechanic. I wish we had more guys like you around here in lawrenceburg Tennessee. One of the main reasons I became a mechanic myself. I just saved my stepson $3500 dollars in repairs because the mechanic he took it to said he had a blown head gasket and even offered to buy his truck off of him. It just had a cracked lower radiator hose assembly and needed a coolant flush. Runs like a dream now.
I love his mixture of Christopher Walken and Billy Mays energy..

Telling us about how good these products are and not being paid really makes me feel confident in trying it. No other mechanic on CZcams can give me that
That's exactly why they've asked Scotty to do a review 😂
@@HPGuitar So what. If they make a good product what difference does it make?
@@sansfreedom1629 Exactly! It's nice to see a company have faith in a product that actually does what it says on the tin.
How do you know he wasnt paid?
@chak lee yes but he’s not being paid to swindle his decisions is what I was trying to say.
Every time I hear Scotty say he’s been a bad boy, it makes me wanna go outside and wash my car 😂 5:13
Same lol
Same lmao
This man is my inspiration on how to live a happy and peppy life even in old age

Quacking up?
Me too lol
Dillon Bess ah you beat me to it ☺
Sometimes the jokes write themselves lol
Loved that bit. 😄
Yea waterless wash works good if ur car is only mildly dirty
If u use it on a muddy car u Will scratch it so if ur car is really dirty u still need water!
basically a good in between washes item
Even lightly dusty I'd always flush it off before touching it as this method will damage a good paint job anyway.
Did he use it on a muddy car? Read his 4th recommendation.
Phack Em Say it Again- Common sense. Lol
I wish i lived near you its so hard to find a good honest mechanic.thanks for all your videos
I always come back to your channel when I need to know anything & everything about my Vehicle & now my parents vehicles. I appreciate even the simplest of advice & your personality is great as well! My father just passed from Alzheimer's disease this past October and unfortunately I never paid attention to any of the work my father did on our vehicles. So that where you come in! 🤗
Lol I thought the title said I went to area 51
Could
Scotty is a trip to Area 51.

Thanks for the great advice Scotty! I've always relied on the original Rain-X solution to coat my windshield for over twenty five years now 🌧️ to shed rain away and don't have to rely on the wipers themselves sometimes 😆
I own and operate a garage in Western Australia and I found everything Scotty says and does to be true and I now use his advice on a daily basis, thank you Scotty.
I’m impressed you even got a tour considering how secretive these companies are
7:15 ...that was really where the rubber hit the road in a good way for this PEA-based fuel system cleaner. 8:29 ...definitely be interesting to see more of that.
Oops, I got mixed up and washed my car with Gumout.
Scotty does make a lot of sense to his videos and I got my father to watch him and he passed away last year ... so I have been continually watching him still ... thank you Scotty
Scotty - its just today I don't expect much anymore from anybody ...
Spoken like a true person dedicated to their work and frustrated with fools around 😊
I work at an AutoZone and we have those Rain-X silicone wiper blades!!
@Fredo Cuomo yeah, some AutoZone stores are better than others, there's over 6000 of them so I'm sure it really depends on which location you go to. Come to the one in Savage, MN and I can assure you that I'll be the most cheerful person you see that day.
Those aren't Rain-X wiper blades, they're PIAA Silicone.

Finally someone that gives their honest opinion on products and car repair. Love this channel!
Scotty you’re a real credit to your profession. Thanks for your time and energy that you put in to giving solid honest help to everyone.
I think I’ve become addicted to watching this guy! Thank you Scotty for educating us in an easy format!
You have become my vehicle go to guy!
This product might loosen the dirt but if you don't rinse the dirt off your car before drying it will leave fine scratches in the paint. I know, I've used this product. If you buff and wax your car often, great product
2:07 That might be true that IT doesn't scratch the finish on your car, but the dirt you are dragging across the finish of your car is. It's like a fine sandpaper that will over time put micro scratches on the finish of your car.
Having said that. It's not a bad choice if you don't have access to water at your place of residence, but honestly, if it were me I'd drive to one of those wash it yourself car washes.
It’s fine for very light dust, like a car sitting in a garage.
Exactly not a bad product just a bad sell.
You need to use a duster then apply for sprinkler markes or rain.
Dont just start rubbing a dirty car.
I am.kinda nervous wiping it off.
I still will use the rainx product because its really good. But I will rinse it off with water just for securitu.
Can I use it for household cleaning instead? Like floors
Scotty I been using rainx washer fluid for years. It's good to finally see them adding more products.
I like the way scotty talks about products. He is the single most honest reviewer out there.
The joys of getting older. At some point you remove the filter.
I'd have to say ProjectFarm is better.
I'm glad your on CZcams, you've saved me more ways than one, thank you scotty!
I have been using the waterless wash since I watched this video and love it. Thank you Scotty!

Scotty I feel like I'm watching an advertisement for Rainx. 🤣
Definitely like the Rain-X waterless cleaner, silicone wiper blades, and info on GUMOUT!
I found it informative. Good stuff.
Doesn’t it leave swirls in your car paint?!
Ever since I've started watching your channel, I have learned a lot about how to maintain a vehicle. Keep up with the good videos.
I saw this vid and went out and bought this. It's great. Helped my foggy headlight about 30%. I really like it on my guitar also. Sold! Found it at Walmart for $8.
Probably great for the tub as well!
Don’t think it is safe to use on cars if you don’t want swirls in your paint though!
what did you buy?

Tried rain x wipers once and have been using them ever since. Last set lasted me almost 3 years. Thanks for another informative vid Scotty.
Scotty, I love clean cars! That cleaner reminds me of the spray cleaner we use on our motorcycles. It does a fantastic job cleaning them when we're out on a road trip. It'd be really nice having a product like that for our cars too! Thanks for sharing!
I do love rainx for my windows. My Dad who has worked on cars and motorcycles for 70 years also loves the NuFinish.
Thanks for the great videos 😎
Thanks Scotty. I'll be looking to replace my wipers with silicone blades. Along with the other 2 items. Thank you for your informative videos!
Scotty I would watch a video of you reviewing popcorn if you made it just for the laughs. The world is a happier place with you in it!
I knew about the wiper blades, used them for years and agree 100%. Still like the Mcguire's car wash and water though.
I like when you said, they did an interesting test that sold me! and I believe you. I am trying these products for myself because you sold me.

It looks so easy when you do that I’ve got to try some of these great money saving maintenance ideas myself😉 Thanks so much for all the free advice!
Hmmmm, rubbing grit into my paintwork? no thank you. I'll stick to using water, lots of it😃
Curtis Jarvis I was thinking the same thing! Nothing cleans like soap and water! I would use it on my windows, I have in the past! It's a good product!
Yeah, or even that Optimum that only uses a gallon or two makes a HUGE difference, watching the poor Matrix was brutal.
Use this like a concentrated pre-treater - either to spot/problem areas or a light mist over an entirely filthy car after a blasting of clods / debris- for the "lifting" action? ... Then, spray off followed by inspection to check for efficacy / progressing to the standard car wash soaping? 🤔

step two, make some of the most informative, entertaining, and fun videos on the web.
Love Rain-x products. Been using the windshield product and wipers for years. After watching this I will probably try this. Scotty,I love watching your videos. It's knowledge with natural humor. These kind of videos don't impress my wife but yours she enjoys watching when I have one for her to look at. I also recommend your videos to my friends that work on cars. Keep up the good work.
Pretty cool. My brother uses that waterless carwash stuff. I have always been skeptical of it and worry about it scratching the paint. After watching your demonstration and description of how it works I think I might just give it a try. Thanks!
That rain-x spray worked so good, even my laptop screen started to bead water... 🤣

Big fan of your videos Scotty. I've learned a lot since I subscribed. Thanks for all of the great tips!
I watch your videos regularly. They are very helpful....Thank you so much!!!
Well, your knowledge and presentations and added pictures IMPRESS me tremendously! Keep it up Scotty Kilmer!
One tip on the Gumout product - only use it on the tank of gas immediately before you do an oil change. Most of the “gunk” that is cleaned out of your engine and fuel system by this product is washed down into your oil - by using it just before an oil change you minimize the amount of time you are running your engine with these contaminants in your oil.
I have used this product on all of my vehicles for many years and with good results!
ddellwo
Thanks for that tip too! I’m glad I read it!
ddellwo , How many years and miles did you use it for, and how often did you put it into the gas tank?
@@GilsTestChannel - I have used it on all of the vehicles I have purchased over the last 20-30 years. For new cars I start on the second oil change (since I usually do my first at around 500-750 miles) and then just before every 3000 mile oil change after that for as long as I own the vehicle.
I tend to purchase my vehicles new and keep them for 10+ years and usually put on in excess of 200,000 miles. In all honesty, even keeping them that long, I have never finally gotten rid of a vehicle that still wasn’t running pretty well - for most I have finally sold them because they start to drip oil and I grow tired of the staining on the driveway.
Scotty, love your videos as they are always both 100% true and entertaining, keep them coming
Great video. I've been using Rain-X on my windshield for over twenty years.

I guess with his glasses on he can't see the swirl damage he is accumulating.
The stuff itself may not scratch or harm your finish but the dirt youre dragging across the finsih with that stuff will. There is a reason to rinse your car with water first.
2:07 That might be true that IT doesn't scratch the finish on your car, but the dirt you are rubbing across the finish of your car is. It's like a fine sandpaper that will over time put micro scratches on the finish of your car.
