I do pressure washer cleaning frequently in the job I have, and I can give some pointers. First, go with a gasoline one if you're going to use it on a regular basis. The problem with electric ones is that eventually when water does get in (and it always does), it'll start to corrode the wiring and circuit boards inside. Also, if you do use an electric one make sure that you plug it into a GFCI outlet or buy a portable GFCI power strip. When washing anything with paint, use the green nozzle included. The red nozzle is 0 degrees, the yellow is 15, and the white is 40 degrees. The green is a 25 degree fan. DO NOT USE A TURBO NOZZLE. This is basically the 0 degree red nozzle that oscillates. This will (though not with an electric pressure washer which doesn't have a ton of pressure) strip the clear coat / paint off your vehicle. I've found in years of using pressure washers that the green 25 degree tip is perfect for getting most grime off of vehicles. If you're careful you can use the yellow 15 degree fan nozzle, but don't get too close to the paint. The black nozzle is strictly used for dispensing soap, and doesn't have much pressure behind it. The other thing is to NEVER spray electrical connectors with a pressure washer. While they're sealed against splashes and whatnot, the pressure washer will push water past the seals.

Hose pressure doesn't matter since the machine will just compress the water. If the hose pressure was reallllly too weak the machine would constantly just cycle between building up pressure and spraying. You need atleast a little constant water in that hose. His machine for the demo doesn't have a strong enough pump.

    Thanks for the info!
And love the idea of a portable power washer. Very cool.

Scotty, I got rid of my nice Ford Excursion because the differential cover rusted thru and started to leak oil. Mechanic then checked out the engine oil pan, that was seriously rusted too. Fixing that involves almost removing the engine, so yes you do need to wash off the heavy metal pieces as well. I have a pressure washer thingy that shoots water (soapy) straight up to clean off the underneath while the car is on the ground. By the ways, the replacement dif. cover was painted NOT powder coated and was made in Mexico, seems that the US EPA has determined that painting is bad for your health as are cadmium plated brake lines that don't rust, fortunately the excur. brakes failed in my garage. The Ford had NO body rust unlike the Chevy suburban it replaced, whata rust bucket that was. My 20+ MB has little or no rust anywhere but they don't make them like that anymore.

Circle K offers car wash subscriptions. $20/mo for the standard plan. Touch less car washes that also sprays the undercarriage. Up to 2 washes a day. Well worth it as each wash individually is $9 and you can do 2 washes a day.
I just get my car wash when I get my gas which is at least once a day.

Scotty's so slick, right when I thought his answer to "no hose or electrical outlet" was going to be a hydrant wrench and adaptor, he comes out with the wireless sprayer and old bucket routine. Now it makes me really wonder about Scotty's marriage / divorce slick advice, maybe that's a third channel?
