- Sent to me as a promotional offer on a tool purchase, I was really impressed with a very particular quality of this wax.
It's a UK made and developed, resin enriched hard wax and sold predominantly via Workshop Heaven here in the UK. Link below (Not affiliated) .
This review test is more or less what I've put a great number of finishes through to arrive at those I use one my furniture.

Neglected to mention in the video that Alfie Shine will work well over your favourite oil if you have one, adding a degree of protection, thanks to its resins.
Seems really good, I'll try on my gulies :D...
ANW, cheers m8, glad to see you ticking along, making projects, vids as younger you'd be
@@AlvyTaug Try it on your what now?😂 Cheers Alvy. Crazy busy lately with furniture orders and getting ready for the company launch so not much time for CZcams. I'll keep plugging away doing them though. 👍
Nicely balanced and practical review , thank you.
Cheers Paul!👍
Thanks for the new word! “Chatoyance” 😊
😁 It was a new word to me too. The result of googling "holographic effect in wood". Knew there had to be a word for it.👍
I actually use this over Danish oil as a simple wax polish. It works well, gives a good hard-wearing shine and lasts for ages. As a stand alone finish, I would use it for small items like book ends, but it takes too much application for larger projects.
Funny enough, I did mean to mention it works good over oil if you have a favourite. I'll pin a post saying that. I tried it over my oil/varnish mix (a bit like Danish) but felt it didn't add anything. Took away some of the shine to my blend actually🤷♂️ And yeah, takes a lot of work for bigger items. You'd have to love it for that. Outstanding for timber with sparkle though.👍
I done the same as you got my tin from Workshop Heaven on that deal I've only used it my wooden tool handles
Was a nice surprise eh? Yeah, a lot of folk use it for tool handles apparently. I won't be as o find the smell pleasing at first, then annoying! I was impressed with how it made certain woods sparkle tbough.
@@BischBaschBosch aye a know what you mean about the smell I can't smell it anymore I don't if I've just got used to it ,it does work well on tools specially on old tools
