Hey Iâm Josh from Adelaide, South Australia. I'm a proud father of 3 and passionate about heavy music.
I was the bass player for post-hardcore/alternative rock group Capulet from 2004-2012, releasing an album, EP and several demos.
Capulet were signed to Red Bull and the Taperjean Music Group alongside Closure in Moscow and The Mission in Motion.
Highlights of my music career were playing with amazing bands like Anberlin, Emery, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Haste the Day, Awaken I Am, and touring Australia several times.
I wasnât the most technical bass player, but lived for performing on stage. I have always loved the process of song writing and the visual art that accompanies music.

Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy also sings with Slash of Guns N Roses called Slash & the Conspirators feat Myles Kennedy. They released a 2cd live album called Live At Stokes and Myles sings everything Slash was a part of from Guns N Roses, Slash's Snakepit, Velvet Revolver and solo Slash.
Great reaction, you need to check out addicted to pain, superb track in general⊠so good live as well, saw them in the UK in December last year, insanely good!

I saw them in 2016, at a small club in Lincoln Nebraska (about 600-1000 capacity). One of the best shows Iâve ever seen. Crowd was insane and so into it.
You should check out BlackBird, itâs my personal favorite song of theirs, and truly shows the collective range of each member.

If you loved the vocals then it might be interesting to know that Myles was just getting over a respiratory infection in this show but he still sang like that!
Myles Kennedy is also a really incredible guitarist although definitely more of a blues and jazz orientated player. Check out Blackbird to hear the guitar dynamic Mark and Myles, it's a must listen for anyone who is getting into their music. Myles wrote the song about a friend who sadly passed away, the song was being written while his friend was sick and is expressing the desire for him to find peace and leave to be free from suffering. Really powerful song and to this day it's the band's favourite song to perform live.
Tremonti is indeed, one hell of a guitarist, he has his own project called Tremonti which is definitely worth checking out!
Great band and great reaction. I would recommend listening to Myles Kennedy(the singer)'s previous band which is called The Mayfield Four. The vocal work on those songs are crazy. The songs Summergirl and Don't Walk Away are probably the best examples of his massive vocal range. If you want to see them live there is footage on youtube. On that live show I think the song Big Verb is the one that sounds the best.

Definitely agree. Fans have differing opinions on the best live version. He was sick at Wembley but, for me this version has the emotional edge but live at Amsterdam is also great if you want to hear 'perfect' vocals.
Defintely check out the live at Amsterdam performances in general, that was one hell of a gig.

Oh, they are so much more than Creed. AB is life changing! They are all talented beyond belief. Check out each of their solo projects & other bands too.
By the way, Myles plays unbelievable guitar also, though not seen here. Plus, Tremonti as one of the best guitarists in the world, ALSO sings Sinatra songs with Sinatras original band members too. I will see any one of them play any type of music, anywhere, anytime. And to date, have quite often đ .

Same band except singer (better now/way larger vocal range); but freedom to be more diverse, aggressive, musically intricate / interesting songs and musicianship now than previously. AB just âmoreâđ€

Yep! Replace Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge) with Scott Stapp and you have Creed. Blew my mind when I first found that out.
Except the music is better (read: still melodic but more aggressive/ intricate / more guitar solos with AB ) ; and Myles Kennedyâs vocal range, guitar chops and songwriting add a huge extra element.

I've loved these guys since I first saw them, you want to see Mark Tremonti play that guitar, watch One Day Remains from Amsterdam. Also, Myles Kennedy has been touring with Slash and recording with him too. Slash wanted to steal him to front Velvet Revolver.

Alter Bridge are okay they have a couple catchy songs but I never go out of my way to listen to them. I'll go out of my way to listen to Creed tho.

I liked Creed's first album My Own Prison, but I lost interest after that. I could hear the band, especially Mark, had tremendous talent, but I felt Scott Stapp kept them anchored. Once they split from him and started doing their own thing, that talent shines. I was hooked on Alter Bridge from the start and they've become one of my favorite bands. I haven't listened to Creed in years, mostly because I got so tired of Scott's vocals. It got to where everyone was doing that style of singing. It started with Eddie Vedder and then Collective Soul (not quite as much as the others). Then it was Creed, Seven Mary Three, Days of the New, Tantric, and I know there's more. I got burnt out.
They ARE NOT CREED! They are Alter BridgeâŠNineteen years, now! Itâs sad that people (especially those doing reaction videos) continue to refer to them as âCreed, just a different vocalistâ. And if youâre going by comments that make that same claim, then youâre comparing. No comparisonâŠ.AB all the way! đ
As far as the band members go yes Alter Bridge is just "Creed with a deifferent vocalist" but musically nah no comparrison at all! :)
