      A lot of people say bad things about you not doing sushi, I think you should just come on camera to explain what it's about. You do so much more than that. I love the concept and all the content. I'm going to buy those chef's knives you use too. I just think a little more face time could get you to the million subscribers you deserve.

    Balloon: Ok, yeah, that's not a bad Idea... :)
    Popcorn bag tricks: another good trick for popcorn bags is that if you leave the top of the bag almost entirely closed, like it usually comes out of the microwave with the top opening just big enough to allow steam to escape it's usually also open enough to allow un popped popcorn kernels to exit the bag when the bag is shaken with the opening down towards a bowl. occasionally, you get a popped kernel or 3 that shakes its way out as well, but it's no big deal.
    Still wish you'd get back to making sushi though... :)

    Yeah.... good luck sucking all the air of a raw chicken or pork meat from the bag.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣

    • @qcislander
      @qcislander Před 4 lety +4

      Laugh all you want, but it's easily done, Hiram.
      A couple of pounds of salmon bits, couple of pounds pounds of raw red meat, couple of pounds of poultry, couple of pounds of giblets... it all can be done without a hitch if you *start* with the "ziplock underwater" thing after squeezing it into a more or less single piece (about 20 seconds' work), and use a straw while it's under the water to remove the remaining air before sealing. It'll freeze beautifully for 6 months or more.
      Using irregular "chunks" like whole birds or non-sawed pork chops works pretty well, but it does leave more air behind... it won't be anything like *perfect* after 14-15 weeks in the freezer, but that fresh-killed food of yours will still be better after most of a year than store-fresh, vac-packed and frozen will be after a month and a half.
      "Good luck"? It's how I preserved fish and game for more than15 years. No complaints from wife or friends.

    No. 6 could be done with Milo as well. For those who don't know Milo, it's a chocolate drink powder brand common in Australia and a few other countries. Commonly mixed into cold milk, but can be mixed into hot water and then have milk added. Use the latter method and freeze into cubes.

    Raspberry trick with the silicone mold...the darn mold doesn't release things. The frozen walls of the cube next to each cube provides such a solid wal;l that there is no give, and sitting the tray in warm water only melts the out-sides of the cubes (whatever they're made of) To get the stuff out, you either have to entirely melt what's in them, or cut up the tray. I had to cut up three ice-cube trays to get the cubes out.

    You are really really good! I know and have seen a lot of those advice sites but you are exceptional new and inventive. And even one known thing you showed was excellent explained by you , better than original... 10 stars for you if a rating was possible

    Forget CocaCola. Just ad sparkling water to you favourite fruit ice cub for a much healthier and tastier summer drink.

    Love Love Love it. But for the popcorn you could use the hood to your hoodie. Just make a bag of popcorn and poor it into your hoodie if you have someone else in your family that likes to steal the popcorn out of your bag like me. I have someone that does that to me.

    2:23 Using a straw to suck out the air only works with your camera friendly fruit. Try that with seasoned meats and you wouldn't even think about using a straw.
