Hey friends! *QUESTION FOR YOU:* *What do you want to see more of here?* Daily life in the mountains? Things to do in Bryson City? Our pup, Bo?! We wanna know! Pls shoot us a comment below đđ»Cheers!
Are you still in Bryson City? We are in the Florida Keys and have lived here 12 years⊠I have gone to Bryson City since I was a child. We are considering moving to Franklin , NC. People think we are crazy but tired of living in such a heavy tourist town đ my husband is from New England and really wants some seasons. I donât think we will regret the move. Thank you for sharing your story
Hey Dawn! We are. Funny enough, we just took a trip down to the keys not too long ago. We love it! We haven't regretted moving to be honest. Bryson City is a tourist town, but we don't mind. Franklin is a cool spot! We like it. If your heart is calling for mountains and seasons, do it! You can always visit the keys. đđ Wishing you guys the best of luck whichever way you decide. Those are both wonderful choices.
We love Bryson City! My family has been coming to camp at Deep Creek since I was a baby. I would love to hear about your favorite local hangouts. We were just there with our boys in October and are planning to come back next summer.
Hey there! Ahh we love hearing ab Bryson City being a traditional travel spot for folks! This video is an awesome resource for our favorite hangouts: czcams.com/video/YB1Tv-0ZX5Q/video.html
Outside of that, Dolce Coffee Shop & Mountain Perks are frequent hangouts since we work remotely đ€
We also drive to Sylva which is pretty close (20 minutes) & enjoy Innovation Brewing there w/ our local friends đ»
Love Darnell farms. Friends with them and helped out during strawberry season many many years ago when I first moved here. Youâll love that place now that covid is ending and things get back to normal. They put on gs to do and itâs nice having fresh local things.
Whatâs the book about that youâre publishing?
How wonderful! We are big fans of Darnell Farms ;) And yay to getting back to normal for sure!
My book is a non-fiction memoir ;) here it is if you wanna check it out more: bit.ly/EmbraceThatGirlBookLink
Hey, love the channel, thanks for sharing! How is the internet speed in Bryson City?
Thanks for the love! This is a great question! We get it a lot from potential remote workers⊠We work remote and need a good connection. We were lucky and able to sign on with sky wave, but thatâs not available at all locations in BC. Overall, the Internet can be spotty depending on where you live but most folks can figure it out. Inquire within the following companies: SkyWave, frontier, zito media and direct tv đ if you can get SkyWave, we highly recommend it!
I'd love to hear more about any other cities you considered and why? We have moved up to NC and are trying to figure out where we want to settle. Thanks!
Hi again! Welcome to NC!! Oh gosh that is another really great question⊠We actually have a video going live Saturday morning and we address exactly this! We were in Asheville for six months figuring out our next move and explored all of western North Carolina (and most of the smokies LOL)... we had a personal connection with Bryson City and thatâs how we came to know it. After exploring other towns, this still felt right to us. Itâs the perfect balance of small town but with enough going on here and nearby in case we need more activity or a city fix. đ
@@thegreenehome ah, perfect! Sounds like we have a similar situation. This is great! Thanks so much :)
@@cartrettc thatâs so cool! Then it must be the beginning on an adventure for you guys đ it was for us.
@@thegreenehome we were lucky and have a house to stay at in Brevard. Pretty cool here, but a little more pricey than other areas. We were looking at Boone. Cool college up there, but a little colder with higher elevation. I want to check out Bryson City and also Franklin. No colleges there tho... We haven't looked into schools yet, that will be another driving factor. Anyhow, thanks for paving the way :)
@@cartrettc that sounds awesome! WCU is next to Sylva (which is 25 min from us), definitely add that to your list. Very cute little town and we hear great things ab the university đđŒ
Hey I live in Mount Dora FL lol
Oh my gosh!! We love Mount Dora! Hello friend đđ»
Hi, Enjoy your videos. How's the winter months there?
Hey Johnny! Thank you so much! Winters here are not harsh. We get occasional snow âïž honestly, we wish it was more! As former Floridians, itâs not been a bad transition. Weâve grown to love the winter actually. In general, the weather is quite temperate here đŹ hope this helps... any other qâs, let us know!
New here. Been binging through all your videos! Quick question - how are the hospital(s)? Me and my wife will be having a baby soon, and trying to figure out if moving to Bryson is the right call if we need to drive an hour away for "proper care," or if Bryson has everything we'd need. Thanks!
Hey John!
OMGG!!! First CONGRATS!! That is such beautiful news đ And an excellent question. We plan to start a family as well, and a few friends have young babies. SO... Bryson City Hospital is good, however, our friends have all had their babies in Sylva's hospital (it's a 20 minute drive).
There's a great OBGYN practice there too for all the pertinent appointments. That will be our plan... our friend's births ranged from straight forward to complicated, so we feel good about their capacity to handle whatever comes their way.
For some things though, we do go to Asheville. For example, Jaime had knee surgery last year, and Asheville was the best for that. We drove the hr and came home and all was good (that's not as ideal with pregnancy, which is why we feel good there's a better option nearby for emergencies).
Hope this answers your question, it's a really good one.
We're here if you have any other Q's at all! Pls reach out! Hope to see you around đđđ»
Love watching your stories! Love to see more of your day to day lives. Love to see more of you house reno. See more of you travels around western NC. I love it there! Thank you for all you share. And yes Yoga Guy, letâs see more of what youâve learned!
Hey Rusty! Thank you so much đđ» these are super helpful requests... and we will definitely get to have Jaime teach us some yoga guy moves đ§đ»ââïž đ
Small world! I have family in Florida near Mt. Dora. My dad lives in Apopka & my grandparents are in Tavares. Beautiful area!We are hoping to move up to Bryson City area (probably more like Murphy/Hayesville actually because of my parents). Do yaâll have a realtor you would recommend?
Thatâs insane!! What a small world!! And congrats on your plans to move here!! You wonât regret it. We havenât personally worked with any realtors here :( sorry about that. But everyone is so nice in this area, feels like you canât go wrong đđ
@@thegreenehome Weâre definitely excited to make the move. My parents found a realtor & just bought their house last week just outside of Andrews. Now we just need to find something. Hopefully between there & Bryson City. Fingers crossed weâll be moved up there in a few months. We are considering buying a fifth wheel & getting some land if we canât find a house soon. Weâll see. I love how yâall have converted your basement into Airbnbs! Turned out so cute!
@@MissAllenDoesHair Oh yay!! Congrats to your parents! You know, some of the fondest memories we have was when we were exactly where you are now... the exciting adventure of looking for our next home đĄ Keep us updated on where you land and ENJOY it!! đ
Have you ever mountain bike there.
Hey Doug! Jaime has and LOVES it. Itâs such a great area for this đ„
Is there a hotel in downtown Bryson thatâs walking distance to everything
Hey Richard! The Everette Hotel is in town and there are likely a few airbnbs in downtown as well. Our airbnbs are a 1 minute drive if you wanna check those out as well ;) hyggehousebc.com/landing-page/
Bryson City is beautiful! We live just south of Orlando and try to get up there every other year if not more often...How about more hiking videos? This is just a casual observation but if you guys ever have kids....... they would be beautiful!!! đđ Happy 2021 everybody!!!đđ
Loran, that is SO sweet!! Thanks so much for compliment and awesome suggestion. Hope to see you guys around next time you visit our lovely little town đ Cheers! đ»đ
Weâre looking to move into the mountains of NC and have been to Bryson City to do hiking. What are your thoughts on that area during peak season - seems like it gets very crowded around there.
Hey there! That is SO exciting. Congrats on making the decision to move to the mountains! đ It's the best one we've made. Now, on to your Q: there aren't many times during the various peaks in tourism that we find it to be SUPER crowded here.
The 4th of July weekend comes to mind as the only time it's VERY crowded (and honestly, it's a fun time). Outside of that, even when it's packed (we'd say several points in the summer, leaf season in the fall + Xmas with the polar express), it's never SO jammed it prohibits us from doing anything or annoys us to the point of staying in/ avoiding places.
Hope this helps! Let us know where you end up đ
@@thegreenehome Thanks for the information. We've spent lots and lots of time along the Blue Ridge Parkway that it's time to make the move. Heading up in couple weeks to check out a few areas to potentially live. Check out our channel for up coming videos of the area (wish we started filming before COVID as would do 4-5 trips a year to hike).
@@LittleTravelChannel oh man, we know exactly what you mean! Wish we would have filmed our move from Miami to Asheville to Bryson city đ would have been so much more material, but it happens when itâs meant to we suppose đđ» will check out your channel!
I love Bo â€
We do too! Let's face it, she's the best part of our channel đđ
Would like to be there. En cuanto pueda los visito ;-)
We'd love that đđ»
I'd to see more Jaime wearing less clothes.
Thatâs a fair request âđŒ coming soon, more shirtless Jaime đȘđ»
