An AMAZING Month in the Mountains of North Carolina

We spent one AMAZING month in the mountains of North Carolina. We parked in Bryson City NC, which is the Best Mountain Town in North Carolina. We visited Darnell Farms. We visited Cherokee NC and hiked Mingo Falls. We went to the Waynesville Apple Festival and hiked Blackrock Mountain. Then we spent 2 days in Asheville NC to tour the Biltmore Estate. We hopped on the Blue Ridge Parkway and headed back to Bryson City. Then we finished the our time in the mountains of North Carolina with a trip to the Nantahala Gorge. Plus much, much more.

More than 60 years ago, just like a fairy tale, up high in those very mountains, she turned and said something personal. Our eyes locked and stayed that way for the next 60 odd years. She was a native to the Smokys and I, a visitor, who stayed and stayed until I had to lay her to her rest up on Water Rock Knob. Marvelous wife, mother, author, designer. Always on the straight and narrow. Her family - there from 1827. A true mountain girl. Beautiful and smart. If I am lucky, I will see her again and say all the things I failed to say while she was here.

This video was INCREDIBLE! Everything about it was IMMACULATE! Bryson City is amazing! I did go once during the summer time, but I bet fall would be awesome! The cupcakery is also very delicious! I would definitely reccomend the Stonebrook Lodge in Bryson City, but wifi is okay, pool is cold. In Waynesville, Boojum Brewery is a must! I love this vlog style, and mountains are my comfort place. This vlog is an amazing video! The video definitely gives a cozy vibe, and for each small town it gives a unique personality! In every town, locals are really helpful and generous. Too bad you couldn't visit Mt. Mitchell and High Country area. Mt Mitchell is stunning! There are many hiking options and amazing views above the clouds! The rapids seemed like you had a blast as well. And, your dogs are adorable! Can't wait to watch your Tennessee video!

We were hoping to do Rocky Mountain this fall, but we got sidetracked in Teton. Lol. Although, our next video posts tomorrow and it from Taos, NM which is at the base of the Rockies.
