So happy for y’all! My husband & I just moved to Andrews last month from Mississippi to be near my family & we are 5 months along with our baby boy who is due in February. We “tried” for nearly 13 years (not trying to prevent) and talked to my regular doctors who just didn’t listen. We finally saw a fertility doctor about a year & a half ago. Found out I have PCOS & blocked tubes which was pretty devastating. We started the process of IVF & got pregnant with our first transfer. I totally understand the pain of watching friends & family get pregnant without any difficulty…Feeling like your body is broken. It’s rough & so isolating. So happy for you both & your little nugget!

Medical care in this area s terrible! In the 9 yrs I’ve been here full time, I’ve had ( not including specialists) 8 primary doctors. They keep leaving! Seriously. You know, when I saw your expecting, I wondered where you’re gonna deliver because Franklin hospital quit thei delivery and the new hospital won’t be having a maternity ward either. Congratulations! I can’t wait to hear what you’re having.
Ahh I'm sorry to hear you had the same bad experience :( It's really such a shame, right? We have had friends who did have a good experience birthing in the Sylva hospital, which is our emergency back-up, but I (Cris) would have to agree... I've had better experiences in Asheville with healthcare overall! Thank you for the kind words! I am 36 weeks today so it can pretty much happen any day now 🥴 feeling VERY nervous and excited haha!
