Really the FULL MANUAL, is the concept that comes closest to realism/simulation.
Everything you did in the tips, samples, etc., should be done by Konami professionals. To encourage users, especially in the efootball of pro players who play everything with full control of assists.
So, nothing gets technical and complex, as it actually is, playing football (with an experience on the field).

I think Konami wants the game to stay accessible to the widest spectrum of players because that means more money, so as a result they don't really push for manual controls even though the game seems to be developed with full manual in mind as the default way to play it.

Sempre achei fantástico a ideia de simulação pelos comandos manuais do pes, e queria que a empresa dedicasse mais tempo para essa mecânica. Infelizmente não é isso que ocorre pelo bem geral do público alvo, entretanto, fico feliz por não ser o único que pensa da mesma maneira.

FIFA is like players are on steroids and PES feels like an art. Only the free kicks should not have been that easy to score. AND THE LICENSES

Well free kicks are scored from close mostly. And people would make fauls when people are about to score that would suck.

What always blows my mind is how incredibly realistic the game looks even just watching.. it's magnificent and I just wish PES would have more of the licences, balls, stadiums.. I know that's all in FIFA's domain but this should be in every true football fans consoles..
@jason skitini the PC mods are better and more vast than that for the PS4, I mean I do know you can install the patches but what sucks is the limited stadiums, limited balls, lack of proper competitions, it's like PES gets done so greasy in comparison to FIFA yet PES is by far the superior game.
Graphics are better in fifa when it compared to pes.. But in realism pes just dominate the whole fifa franchise...i have both the games.. Fifa is more optimised but pes lacks in it.. pes have some stuttering issue while fifa is smooth..

They're switching away from the FOX engine into Unreal engine, who knows what it'll be like on that.

@@anthonyantmanedwardsisbett8197 from what I understand is that it's not easy to implement PES on the FOX engine and so they're switching to Unreal engine to make developing the game easier. If they were willing to sacrifice one year's edition then it must've been pretty bad

Great video 👍. This will make me try manual again for 2021. Looks like manual has improved from when I last played in 2016 & 2017. I like that the shot types are automatic rather than a button command. I, like you, also struggled with finesse shooting in manual. From memory, it looked easier in 2017 than it is your clips here. I don’t recall headers being a struggle in 2017, but they were quite OP in general for 2017. The header issue might be tied to the 2020 gameplay.
I've been playing full manual since pes 2011 and my biggest tip for shooting is use all your passing buttons to shoot aswell. If u want a really low hard shot use through ball to pass it in if u want curl it into a far corner use lob with L1 or LB to put whip on it. It amazing how many sorts of goals u can score using all you passing buttons. I even use shoot to drill balls from one wing to the other as the lob pass still is inconsistent with what full power should be.
This is actually excellent advice. I have scored using the pass button in the video near the end, but it never occurred to me to shoot instead of pass to get the ball around, or to lob the ball into the far corner. That said, the broken finesse is my biggest issue is far that I'm trying to beat.

This is a great video. I watch it every now and again just to remind myself it's a long process, since I made the switch to manual shooting recently, and passing when 21 came out. Strangely, most of my goals are headers, mostly from corners but a few from open play as well. Still scuffing most of the easy opportunities but at least I don't shoot the ball backwards anymore!

I've just converted to full manual after years of being reluctant to do so, and man I hate that it took me so long. The passing really isn't that tough to get used to, but the shooting is a pretty rough learning curve when you're used to primarily moving the stick up or down to aim. I just start using the directional guide as I'm preparing to shoot, which gives me a second or two to line it up. It makes a big difference though, and you never feel cheated when you miss.

so glad to hear that i am not the only one who doesnt use curlers anymore... i spent hours training with no opponents but the keeper. I am convinced they didnt consider it for manual. either that or its super difficult even with the stats.... but the manual is still the best. the thrill in every pass and shot. at least i now get 5-6 shots on average per game on superstar

Started full manual today and it’s great! I started a while ago but I was fairly new to pes after so long of Fifa. It’s so much more free and fluid with the manual setting and a lot less scripted and very unpredictable. The best part of it is the satisfaction of ever goal and win.
The thing I love the most about playing with full manual controls is not how it changes the game but how it has changed the way I play, as it forces me to be more aware of the tactics I'm using and how players move. Also how I position a player in order to make the pass I want to the exact place I want it to go becomes really important now.

Great video as always 👍, and in regarding the crazy gks u can just lower the ratings for all of them make the best gk a 85-86 and adjust the abilities like reflexes can be assigned higher but lower the coverage, clearing ability as most gks tend to catch all attempted crosses and give enough handling only to top gks like oblak, alisson ,in the end what u will have is that u can score all types of goals and there would be some gk mistakes and others can score against u too , but this takes time as I have done this for literally every gk where the highest gk is oblak 85

I’ve played manual passing and shooting since 2012. I do recommend to push the limits to those who ever just thought to practice. When you get used to, you will never get back to default settings.

I really want to play full manual both passing and shooting, but the game scripting, the lack of response from the players (especially in high speed plays) make it impossible. And even less using a stadium-type camera. A shame
exactly i deleted pes 20 and gona sell it cus of that main reason all that beautifull gameplay is just worthless cus the AI and the script and player responsibility is just so unrealistic... ur players move so slow but AI is moving like messi and ronaldo mixed together and also if the AI has 50 overatte GK its still gona defend every shot like de gea or ter stegen but if u put a GK with 66 overrate he is gona be missing shots like he never defended its just so bad and unrealistic i hope konami gets rid of script in pes 22
One thing I found helpful is implementing adaptive difficulty. Basically change difficulty based on the game. If you are playing with a much less talented team which should be an easy game on paper don't play that game on Superstar/Top Player. I found game much more enjoyable after doing this

Is there any patch that fixes the handcap of the AI being more faster like a defender having 71 of speed and running more faster than my CF with 90 speed?

Hi Knight MD. Love your content, for me the best Pes channel on youtube. Anyway, I was wondering what you think about the through balls on manual. I love them but they take so long to pull off meaning you are often tackled before being able to execute. On the off chance have you found a workaround or do you play through balls on assisted?
Thanks buddy! Once you switch to manual passing, it doesn't matter what setting you choose for through passes. A long through pass in real life takes more 'winding up' so yeah it's kindof realistic!

I might have found something for finesse shots. Now I have tried this with legends only but it's easier to hit them on incoming passes or generally on the run when player has some distance with the ball. More distance there is more accurate they get

@KnightMD, excellent video once again. But I have a question for you. Don't you think the advanced through ball is rubbish ? It's very slow to do and you don't have the time to place the spot where you want the ball to go. I mean, sometimes you need to do a long through ball,but a simple long ball won't do the trick due to the way the ball travels midair.
I honestly didn't like it at all and since I moved to manual passing, through passes have never been better. I can place the balls anywhere with whatever force I want, it's ridiculous. Just needs a little muscle memory and practice.

Definitely the grip of the analog stick material makes all the difference. A slippery analog stick is horrible.

I always play full manual for a few years. Full manual make you create a football so close to real football and the pleasure and feelings are 10 times stronger and amazing. Everybody should start playing full manual

I'm not seeing any update regarding mastering finesse shots so I'm assuming you still struggle with those. I'd be really interested to see a follow up manual shooting video. I'd be curious to see how much progress you've made and any tips you have for us newbies. I have been playing with manual passing for about 3 months now and love it. Just recently switched to manual shooting as well and it's very frustrating. An update on your progress might be the encouragement I need to stick with it. Love the videos! Keep it up!

Manual should be the default setting, at least when you miss you know it's your fault (and not some random game choice)

i stopped playing football games 10 years ago...my last one was Pes 2010, if i am not mistaken, and its shocking too look at this footage... would this had no ui graphics on screen and would at first glance look like an actual highlight from real life game, and even more with those manual passes and shooting...which makes it fluid and unique to watch...makes me want to try it again, after so long.

Now tried some games with full manual shooting and gives the game a boost of fun!!
Its way more realistic, everyone who played soccer in real life know, that you could even miss an empty goal 🤣
also i noticed that AI shooting way more bad when i am on full manual, its like the game know what settings you play and adapt the CPU AI.
But i have problems with finess manual shoots, only could get them on goal when moving left stick straight onto the goal

The manual pass is pretty easy to get used to but the manual shot is very hard. I tried practicing on regular mode but results are bad like 20(2). Do you have any more tips because I studied from your video for couple days but still can’t seem to shot on target.

@Luqman Al-Hakim assets is from kitservers or save files. Gameplay can be changed with the IPM gameplay mod

After playing at full manual pass and shooting.. After 2 months of passing ..I can now score 1 goal each game.. Most of the goals come from first touch shots.. Free kicks.. Corners and chip shots.. Curl shots are almost impossible to pull off.. And dribbling is also difficult this years.. It's bit frustrating but the goals and gameplay feels rewarding.. Hoping they fix curl shots in manual shooting in next update.

Nope no gameplay mods, just default gameplay. It's just the camera I guess!
What is the LaLiga scoreboard you’re using at 0:20? Is it available for PES 2021?

Hey this isn't an option file it's a collection 9f PC mods. You can use smoke patch or virtuared but I don't think they have the broadcast camera mods.

I've got two questions. Is there even still a difference between passing with X/A and Triangle/Y when on full manual? Also, do passing stats still matter? If I do everything right will a perfect through ball over half the field even come from players that don't have high passing stats?
I wonder why no one talks about the advanced shooting.. I've used that for years.
However sometimes I pick Basic because I feel that in advanced I can get too good shots with players who really shouldn't be that good. I get same feeling with Manual.
Does manual still take into account the player's skill in shooting? Like shot accuracy?

Been using manual shooting on pes and fifa for years, feels so much better knowing you scored the goal and not the game deciding if you will score. Manual shooting should be standard for online. Assisted is way to assisted

I dont understand why they removed the delay during the shooting animation, so you can control the shoot. Isn't fully controlling the shoot what manual is suposed to do? or how do you target low (blue boxes in practise) with a max loaded bar with manual?

It's similar in FIFA20, I switched off all assists a while ago, full manual, and it's a different game, although much harder, it's also much more rewarding
