The Harstem cannon rush: fail the cannon rush, then win with macro and air
That is just normal cannon rushing. Cannon rush the main, if it doesn't work, use second probe to deny natural and rest of map with a second pylon/cannon in fog on exit, while building economy, and quick teching to air. There are very few counters to such a strategy when done correctly.

What else do you do if the cannon rush fails? f10? No, you keep playing the game until its over and you win. Cannon rush is only to either finish your opponent early or to gain an early advantage in economy and structures so that you can macro and finish your opponent.
@@joeygawl4346If you deal enough damage with a Cannon Rush it is not even a failed attempt, I don't know how people keep forgetting that we like to call cheese strategies as these nowadays as macro builds just like how 12 pool is mainly used to force out errors and units from the enemy and then macro up.

No map is bad for cannons if you know how. Instead of running the second probe in, put a pylon at the exit of his natural, and cannons there to deny the natural and the rest of the map. You do that while running the first probe around so he is distracted. You only need 2 canons and 1 pylon there to really slow the player down, and you use the time it buys to expand quickly, then you beat him with a bigger economy.

you can tell the carriers to attack your building or unit and after they launch the interceptors, switch target to enemy unit
@harstem you could have your carriers attack your own phynix or building to get their interceptors out pre fight vs those thors

That second game would have been a quick win if you had just had your cannons take out the single pylong powering the enemy 2 gates, no stalkers production and no counter attack.

You know harstem, the best thing about you is you do videos espessially for CZcams, I really really hate twitch, i hate the mods the most clingy, the biggest loosers yet they they tney are top shit, i hate the chat, their just kids making stupid comments and i hate hearing the donatons, I am loving thse videos thanks so so much. It happens in every competitive game, I see it all the time, and high level players don't get it. High level players have skill, high APM and all that, but their thought processes aren't the same as lower level players. Lower level players don't have the APM, so they rely on cheese a lot, which means those in the lower levels to survive get used to the cheese, and adapt to checking for the cheese. These actions, like scouting after pilon might hurt the player in a high level game, but when it pays off three out of four games in the league he's in, he's going to keep doing it... and, it is the sort of thing that might prevent him from advancing, because it hurts his game at higher levels, but he feels he has to do it to stay afloat in the league he's in. It's got him this far, so why wouldn't he scout after pilon?
Ironically in Starcraft 2, the lower league you play, the sooner people scouts. Go down far enough and people scout as soon as the game starts. Obviously at the absolutely lowest rank, people don't scout at all.

BGMWSS idea: cover the minimap and don't use camera hotkeys. If you want to micro an adept to kill workers, you can't build anything or start upgrades. Bonus: Don't use hotkeys, or keep production off hotkeys.
