Just a summary of why his career was so incredible. Chelsea had never won the champions league before 2012. They got to the final for the first time in 2008, and we lost on penalties to man united. Drogba got sent off. Drogba had won everything at chelsea (league titles, FA cups, league cups, charity shields), but never the Champions league.
2012, we got to the champions league final again and we played Bayern Munich in Munich, so nobody thought Chelsea stood a chance. In the 82nd minute, Bayern scored and everyone thought it was over. Then in the 88th minute Drogba scored that header that they kept showing in the video, and so it ended 1-1. Before the final, there were a lot of rumours that Drogba was going to leave Chelsea at the end of that season as he had been there since 2004. The final went to penalties, and Drogba had the chance to score the penalty that would win the champions league for Chelsea for the first time with his last kick of a ball for the club (until he came back 2 years later). He scored and we won and he left Chelsea at the end of that season as a hero.
Just a side note. He's currently playing in America for Phoenix Rising FC in Arizona, and he's still scoring ridiculous volleys and freekicks for them. Theyre now in the playoffs thanks to his help.
