How quick and easy is that? Cuts to me in the kitchen, bits of grated cheese and tomato sauce everywer, sweat, blood, and a single tear down my hungry eyes 🥲
Cooked & eaten these for years. I like spicey food so to me they arnt that spicey however they are one of my favourite meals! Fair enough they probably arnt anything like a proper Mexican meal but they are tastey and filling lol and quick and easy to cook!! 😁
I'm with you Dave! grew up on these but have since tasted some legit Mexican cuisine I highly recommend trying it! This is my quick enchilada recipe costs more or less the same but tastes so much better and has a nice Spidey kick. 2 fresh Serrano chili's and 3 garlic cloves in a little sunflour oil, remove once oil is flavoured and use to toast half a roughly chopped white onion plus 4 tomatillos quartered and at least 25% bigger than golf balls(small tomatillo are sour) season as you go charring each side, put it all in a blender with 1/4 cup water, some black or green pepper corns the garlic and chillies and a big bunch of washed corriander(silantro) stem and all, a generous spoon or 2 of Mexican cream or even cream cheese. Blend, add the tops of some spring(green) onions and fresh chilli roughly diced to the sauce for extra punch and texture. I like to sauté bell peppers and tomatoes to mix with my black bean siracha and mint leaf rice and little red onion and shredded lettuce salad with a lime wedge for my sides. But contents of the enchilada is shredded chicken (brined in lemon + orange wedges and dry oregano water brought to boil and cooled) or salmon, cheese and the affirmationed sauce. Seriously worlds apart and not at all difficult.
here in the states we mix the seasoning with the chicken in the skillet then put it into the tortilla & roll up then put in pan then pour the tomato sauce over the tortillas. we don't put the tomato sauce directly into the chicken, both tomato sauce pouches go on top of the tortillas... but you can do it whatever way you like, I'm just going by the box directions, either way is fine. they also give us flour tortillas instead of corn and the chicken is typically cut up smaller. I do however like to put cheese in the tortillas. This makes me wonder if the boxes in the UK are slightly different.
British people do not know anything about food, they eat like they don't know what seasoning, its so gross, I'm mexican and I've been here for 2 years and their food is sooo gross no flavor and boring
@@Ashamedofmypast bruv we are buying these because we are poor young people and students who want something quick, easy and cheap to cook. Not to try authentic mexican cuisine.
I bought 2 of these kits a few days ago as the shop was giving away ceramic oven dishes free when you buy 2 kits lol. So it was well worth £4 in total for 2 kits and oven dish. I have a feeling it may be a little spicy for me so I will add cream to the sauce to cool the spices down :-)
@@valkyrja-- I wasn't here to learn about film-making, rather how to make a delicious enchilada. So, whilst I'll admit I don't know much about the former I am aware of a thing called continuity. 😂
so? it's a commercial. obviously they aren't filming only for the duration of this recipe. that doesn't change how long you are supposed to have it in the oven. are you dumb? lol
No mames ALV. Ok just fry up the tortilla a few seconds, dip it in any chile sauce guajillo to anaheim, lightly fried tortilla is covered in chile sauce, add chicken cooked, roll it up, add it to a tray. Serve it immediately with/without mayonnaise, shredded lettuce, a base tomato sauce(peeled tomato boiled, raw garlic clove, salt, oregano blend it all) any type of sour creme, I use jocoque, and sprinkle on some cotija cheese(almost a parmesan) thats it. Some like to fry up the tortilla with sauce after it was fried to soften it. Others like to layer it up like a stack of pancakes.
I’m Mexican and I almost had a heart attack watching this... they look good BUT I wouldn’t call these enchiladas , they’re more like smothered chicken burritos 🌯.
So sad making enchiladas from a kit. Authentic sauce just needs a few spices & water or broth. Those are flour tortillas not corn tortillas and they are gross, definitely not fresh tortillas. Jar salsa is the worst.
Don’t make it like the instructions, use your imagination instead, I did so and it come out so tasty I used green an red peppers, onion and used spicy grated cheese. The instructions is way too basic, flavourless 😩

ayooo my abuelita used to make enchiladas just like this back in tijuana truly a delicious latinx dish ♥️ heartwarming
Everytime i make enchiladas i have to watch this great video thankyou x love the tune t the beginning
I like to serve mine with Uncle Ben's Spicy Mexican rice, goes down very well
YES SOMEBODY ELSE DOES!! I use golden veg when the Mexican rice isn’t available
Thanks for the video, will be trying some now 😊
I always come back to this video. I don’t know why 😂🙌🏻
Wish you was round the table 😂
These enchiladas are really nice. My Nan makes them and we put uncle buns golden veg rice in them too😍 couldn’t imagine them without the rice
Uncle buns? Lol
4:50 swear to god that chick gaged when she put it in her mouth
XD
You a fool my boi
Why??

these are literally labeled mild, so yeah, they aren't spicy what so ever lol
Making this tonight looks lovely

Thanks! The instructions on the box say to add the "tomato puree" but the packet just says "sauce". We were very confused.
Same here!
Thx this was useful made it for my family they loved it.
the AUS version of this calls for zucchini, minced chicken and sour cream. Definitely prefer the UK version!
Both are so far off from an enchilada 😂 do yourself a favour and make some real enchiladas with chilli and tomatillo sauce
The French one calls for a red onion and zucchini. I've just added a small yellow onion and two brown mushrooms finely chopped.

Amen! I would only eat this if there was a worse food shortage than this pandemic, possibly an apocalypse! lol.
"The enchiladas have been in the oven for 10 minutes"..... well not according to the clock on the front of the oven!
is this your first time learning about filmmaking? commercials aren't shot in 30 minutes lol. it takes hours and hours, maybe even several days
@@valkyrja-- I wasn't here to learn about film-making, rather how to make a delicious enchilada. So, whilst I'll admit I don't know much about the former I am aware of a thing called continuity. 😂
So it is 17:12 on the oven clock before she puts them in and then 18:21 after she takes them out, wtf??? Clearly not 10 minutes!

It’s a continuity error in filming

What does it mean by "Hot" water? Booked water? Tap got water?
I season the chicken with the powder and put the sauce on the top
This is fucking good
Is there anyway in which the enchilada spice mix can be bought seperately?
I struggle to find it in a supermarket.
I'd like this too
Most modern supermarkets stock things like pre-mixed enchilada spice.
Yeah you can they cost about 50p

Yep!
Hello Old el Paso Team, unfortunatley your products are not sold anymore in Germany.
How can i get or make the Tomatosauce like yours
In Australia the tortilla's are friggen tiny... can't roll them like that :-/
The large ones are the default in the uk
how can i spice mix at home?🙏
They need an updated version. There boxes now say to add onion and grated aubergine 😱
Grated courgette, not aubergine
Who puts aubergine (eggplant) in enchiladas. That is just weird! Even their meal kits are jacked up.
The enchiladas were in the oven for an hour!
Wat was they not burnt.
No she opened the oven at the start of vid so oven heats up!
Why are there 3 tortillas and 200 ml water left behind? 🤣😭
These are really tasty but I disagree with her that they're quick to make haha
I think she needs to say "Perfect." more
She’s using flour tortillas but called them corn lmao

I'm Scandinavian, and even I make better enchiladas than this. actually painful to watch lol
Wheres the onion and courgettes?
Omg you remind me of minnie driver in good wil hunting
“Pour the spare sauce on top”

Why are enchiladas so funny?
i hope one day british people try real enchiladas and dont call it tomato sauce im cringing

When did she add the first bit of cheese, rubbish
Jason Brown into the pan with the chicken, just after she added half the sauce...
corn tortillas, not flour.. Must be some European made video!!!
It's a video from the UK VERSION
Who da thunk it, considering the chef is English.
This is not mexican food! real enchiladas are very complex to make
Quite, they do taste good though (whatever they are).
i'd like to try some of this food but here in mexico isn't sold
