Are you excited about the next generation of gaming? Which system are you getting? PS5, XBox X, or are you sticking to a PC with a next-gen GPU?
Can you send the link for this monitor please
I need to buy a new monitor
Hold on
Found it never mind
Definitly. Especially xbox
PS5 & Bravia with X1 Ultimate
Ps5
Oh....you’re back!!! So relieved.
He was busy watching TV lol
I thought I saw Jeremy Lin for a sec.
48" is a small TV? In my day we played four player Goldeneye on a "huge" 27" CRT and we loved it!
in modern day it's. if I'm correct it is the first year we get 48 inch Oled TV. overall great TV I got the 55 inch for my bedroom and I connect it to my PS4 pro. I wish I had my desktop PC in the same room so I could hook it up and enjoy it for PC gaming.
Nowadays people won't consider TV's smaller than 65"
Yes it's small
The way I see it, 50inch+ for bedroom, 65inch+ for living room. 48inch is a small TV in my opinion, but big af for a monitor.
I remember our first 27in upgrade. It felt like we were at the movies!
Finally bloody hell welcome back
Welcome back David! Your “Must have Laptop Accessories 2.0” video helped me immensely to build my dream standing desk laptop/docking station setup! Thanks for the great content!
Great videos dude!
Was getting worried you had quit CZcams! So glad you’re back making videos!
Gone for several months and end up posting the exact review I was looking for! Nice!
HE'S BACK
Dude you have the most soothing voice I’ve ever heard of.
The legend is back!
Welcome back! Was so happy that I stumbled upon your channel 2 weeks ago and got sad when I found out you haven't posted anything for 7 months. You got yourself a fan from Sauga!
Glad to have you back!!!
Nice. I'm currently using the 55" oled as a monitor and its pretty awesome. I mounted mine on a vertical tv stand with 4 wheels on the bottom to move it around if I need it out of the way. The productivity increase and ability to see bigger things make it just awesome.
Woohoo I’m looking forward to more videos!🔥
Good to see your video after a while. Welcome back !!
Glad to see you back to creating content!
Welcome back man :)
This channel has such a relaxing and laid back feel to it and I loved the indepth talk about all the different setting and all of the features of the display. You also higlighted the strengths and limitations of the monitor wonderfully.
Personally I think this a stellar review and an excellent video and I look forward to more videos!

Yay! Finally you’re back from the break . Welcome back and nice video !
So nice seeing you back on my subscriptions page! Welcome back, my dude! 😎
Life is not complete until you've heard a David Zhang Voice-over.
this guy changes his monitor setup as frequently as i change my underwear
Every 2 weeks ?

I really enjoy your videos. They're so calming. All the hard work and efforts you put into these videos is appreciated! You're doing a great job!
😃😃
Glad you're back!!!!!!!
11:36 my favorite movie too.
Wow
what is the movie?
@@zakkazz1201 cringe

its a series ya all
You're back - and with another outstanding (and unbiased) review!
YESS FINALLY!!! I've missed your content, dude. :')
Damn this man is basically a desk model. He's literally popular for doing video shoots of him sitting at desks. Imagine being a kid with big aspirations only to find out 15 years down the road you've become 'that guy' who shows the world what they would look like sitting at a desk set up they're looking to buy.
I'm jealous.
If they make it in 32” it will be a top gaming monitor of all time! I’ll take it immediately!
Burn-in though :/
@@wallacesousuke1433 if you don't play 1 single game with a fixed interface over a years, it shouldn't be an issue. On my PC I always change games/browsing/apps
@@MaximusTiberius_ still a risk not worth taking considering the prices here in my country :/ which is a pity since its image quality, especially its true black, is jaw dropping
@@wallacesousuke1433 I personally extended my cx 55" warranty to cover damages including burn in for 6 years.
@@wallacesousuke1433 This tv can perform a Hight HDR performance as good as a 2500$ monitor like pg35vq so if you buy this and replace it with a newer model every 3 year even it's cheaper and better
Good to have you Back (Y)
Thanks for the disclaimer. I appreciate youtubers that shout out they're bought and paid for early in the vids.
the "color fringing" is caused by screen shift
try turning it off and see if it's still there
I wish there was a 32“ OLED...
Yes, with 4k (or 6k), 120hz+, freesync2... hope LG launch one of those soon.
@@gerardmcguinness802 You're misinformed. Sad...
It’s called a monitor 😂
Jason Hunt affordable 32” oled monitors doesn’t exist yet...
Jussimir Pasold Just busting your 🏀
Great video, made me appreciate my cx again lol. I’m currently using the 42inch c2 I love em both honestly
OMG you 're back ~ wait for new video for a long time !
This is the exact model I’ve had my eye on for a few weeks. Hoping maybe if I hold out for a bit, LG will release this in a 40-43” variant...
Ain’t gonna happen, at least not for a long time and by then, another technology will be the norm. It took long enough to get 48 inch. The efficiency of panel cut outs in the manufacturing process goes right down the smaller you go.
I’d buy one if they made a 38” or 43” version.
yea well those new dimensions are the same as a 48 almost. my tv was 42 but those dimension got cancel because my tv had big bezels you get it .
38" please. Would make the best 4k monitor around TBH.
Zaptruder; I totally agree. 38’ 4K IPS 16:9 non-curved monitor. I would buy one in an instant.
Se7enity 2020 nah not IPS, poor black levels and really poor HDR performance.
@@se7enity648 Why IPS? We're talking about OLED here - god tier color reproduction. The only reason we don't talk about it in the monitor space is because they don't make them small enough.
Welcome back, it's about time!
Welcome back David!
Good lord, I'm copin this and a 3080 when it comes out. Can't wait for Cyberpunk 2077 on this!!
what monitor stand would you recommend for the LG CX 48
Welcome back! I was just checking your channel yesterday wondering when your last video was.
Yes! You are back and safe!
Give me a 32" version and I'm all in.
Right?!?!? If there was a 32 inch i would buy it now
32 is perfect for sitting close. Anything bigger is impossible to game on since your eyes can't see the full screen unless you move back loads. That's why we play on consoles, for the big tv experience.
The 120hz oled are interesting.
Just wow
It's been a long time. Welcome back bro!
You're back! Great vid
how about we get a 32" monitor with the same specs? would be the holy grail of monitors! can't wait to have next-gen support for higher refresh rates at 4k....
David Zhang I highly recommend the software called Wallpaper Engine. Instead of you relying on screensavers it's basically live wallpapers and it's beautiful big community of premade live wallpapers by community members you can choose too
This is exactly what I do on my LG960V 55inch OLED - and can confirm it works a treat - I've been using it as a monitor for more then 3 years and yes there is burn in - but its a spare TV so I'm not too bothered.
hey Dave, super excited to see you posting againg. Hope you're good
Yey I’m happy you’re back! 😃✨😌
48" isnt really a small screen in my opinion.
55 and up is considered big tho
it's not a small "screen" but it is a small TV.
I've got a 32 inch pc monitor. for fps it's about as big as I would go and I still have to push it pretty far back on my desk for that
ITS a small tv.. but a big computer monitor.
For a monitor its way too big
Bro I’d be more than satisfied with a 24” one
Thank you for talking about the green and red fringing on blocks of yellow colour as well as the screen dimming issue, I see exactly the same thing on my C9 which confirms they're likely issues with all LG OLEDs and not just my C9. Yours is the first review I've seen that brings this up so thanks for that!
Our Boy is Back! Been inspired by your diy ikea wall thing. I made magnets and attached a lot of stuff on my white board which is magnetic. It looks really good and clean.
How about panel burning on static images?
Exactly. This TV will get burned pretty soon and he will throw it away. Thats why noone makes oled monitors. 1-2 years and go buy a new one.
Does it run 4k 120Hz at 4:4:4 chroma subsampling or 4:2:2?
Yes
I was worried something happened to you. Glad to see you're back uploading more relevant content in an age when everyone works remote.
David Zhang! The channel to go for everyone who needs a perfect home setup experience! I became a fan of this channel. Whenever i need an idea other than pinterest, this is the youtube page. Thanks David for the content.
Hold up. 48 inch "small"!?!?!?!?
Either way welcome back!
It's the smallest OLED out their.
I'd love a 40'' OLED.
@@stefans4562 no
32 inch
That looks way too big for a desktop monitor. If only they made a 34-36" one. I used to use a 43" Dell IPS montiro at work and it was just too big. What size mount does this TV have for the monitor arm? I do love the idea of this tech for a computer screen I have to say, burn-in not withstanding.
Nah I had a 42inch 1080p tv but then upgraded to a b6 2016 oled big problem is burn I during lock I got a youtube logo burn in
So I need a new oled LG is planning to make a 42inch oled which is bang on 4k on that will be so much sharper than the 55inch note due to still barely seeing the youtube logo burned in the corner ile wait till next year for a new tv anyway
Ile just put up with the burned youtube logo lol fucking lockdown made it soooo boring to walk out of the house and since multiplayer is a joke anyway too many cheaters maybe that was the downfall of my 2016 oled I had it for around 4 years its not done too badly for the first 4k oled
That Universal LG CX 48" OLED TV is beautiful.
Excellent overview
Perfect, but the oled panels get burned soon with static images
Older panels did but nowadays it's not really a real problem for the average consumer (unless you literally let your TV on 24/7/365 at full brightness)
@@GeneralKenobi69420 doesn't matter after 2years is going to get some burn
@@o_KingOfKings_o That means best way is to use it as a TV to avoid those issues i think, so better get the 55 inch version
How can one sit so close to that big of a screen?
Like this. 😳
I also has tv around this size for my pc
55 inch here lol
27 inch is max.....larger than that is uncomfortable for pc
Unless you sit farther
SMFH i've been using the LG OLED A1 48" as my PC monitor for the last month and only after watching this video did i find out theres a PC mode setting. I've been using Game Mode before this but PC mode has made it so much better. Thank you

the price is like 3 times the money i paied for my pc.
GG
Three times? Sounds like you need to consider upgrading your pc in the near future. Unless you just use it for basic tasks.
@@JBrown-go8ru I only use it to play League of Legends and do basic tasks.
Using OLED for PC could increase your burn-in risk dramatically. Seems like a really bad idea.
it is a bad ideea. Why would you promote this to be used as a monitor? You have brain damage?( don t lie)
*Dude! Where were you? We have missed you! Glad to see you are back and doing well.*
Hey David, love your content! Your presentation is top notch and its great to see more people covering tech for productivity scenarios instead of just gaming. I picked up the ergotron HX from your affiliate link for my home office and its the best purchase I've made this year. Now I'm just waiting for LG to drop that 42 inch Oled to perfect my setup! Thanks for all the help you've defintly made building my lockdown office a breeze.
I just want to know what type of mansion size houses and rooms you all live in where 55" in a bedroom is " normal". I'll admit I love in a relatively large home in the suburbs and have what I think most would call a large room and 55" is as big as I'd consider for my bedroom TV. Most woman have told me it's to big 🤷♂️
You aren't supposed to put TVs in them! 😬😬
48 inches? ON A DESK? ur tripping dude thats way too big to be that close lmfao
On a desk I cannot pass 27 inches, bigger than that burns my eyes ( maybe I can go 32 but is huge for me )
Thanks for the new content to relax to.
Hi! Great video, thanks!
I miss the days where you had passion for this and didn't just come back to make a TV advertisement to get some quick cash.
The thing is, everything he said here is true
Great feedback. Your voice is really calming and relaxing.
