You are going to love this one! Montanov 68 really shines in this formulation by providing this beautiful thickness, mango mutter is a rich butter which sinks rapidly into the skin and rosehip oil offers a nourishing and colourful twist.
Ingredients used: Mango Butter, Caprylic triglyceride, Glyceryl Monostearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Montanov 68, Water, Glycerin, Siligel, Rosehip Oil, Vitamin E, Preservative Eco, Mango Fragrance Oil - Jak na to + styl
You are awesome and so knowledgeable! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for your kind comment ☺️
I love it!!!
Ah amazing!! Did you try it yet? 😊
Beautiful VDO!
That makes me so happy, thank you! ☺
Thank you so much for this formula, I make a little adjustment to get it to my likes and it’s perfect 🤩
I’m so happy you like it! ❤️
May I ask what you changed? 😊
This looks amazing I can’t wait to make it .. would you make a urea cream formulation.. thank you
Thank you for your comment, I hope you like it!
As Urea is not approved by COSMOS/ECOCERT I can't play with it unfortunately :(
Lovely website and amazing formulation. Thank you
Thank YOU Mishael
your formulations are wow🔥lots of love from india❤️
Thanks so much for your comment, made my day! Love from Spain
Thank you for this wonderful receipe. I really like your channel. I hope you will do well. I cannot find siligel where i live. I have Xhanthan gum, Hydroxycellulose and Cationic Guar gum. I'm also in the process of getting Xanthan gum soft and Crothix. Would any of these do?
Thank you for the compliment! :)
Xanthan Gum is the best alternative. It might make the emulsion a bit more ''soapy'' but I can't imagine it being bad.
Hey! Another fantastic formula. I have a couple of questions: 1) is there something i can use instead of glyceryl stearate and 2) can i use cetyl alcohol instead of cetearyl alcohol? Thanks ❤
Thank you so much! :)
Regarding your questions:
1) You could try Olivem 900 which should get you a similar consistency.
2) Yes you could also use Cetyl alcohol but just keep in mind the thickness may be reduced slightly.
Thanks for the quick reply. I’m going to make this as a Christmas present for some friends :)
Is there anyway i can create this lovely formula but with all natural ingredients?
Hey, how do you define natural? 🙂 The ingredients here are either natural or nature derived and approved by the certification scheme COSMOS (COSMetic Organic and Natural Standard) so hopefully that is some reassurance to you!
I would be interested to know what ingredient(s) concerned you in this formula?
Hello, thank you for your time could you please give the formula thanks
Hey, sure! The formula is always linked in the description box: www.organicalchemist.net/blog/emulsified-body-butter
awesome video! Any reason you add siligel/glycerin after emulsification and not in the heated water phase? same question for the rosehip oil (heated oil phase)? thank you!!
Thank you!
Good questions, so you could technically also add the siligel and glycerin before emulsification in the hot water phase. I guess for me it became a habit to do it that way as I've found it is better to form the emulsion first. If the water is thickened it could interfere with emulsification and result in more bubbles in the formula. Having said that, I think with Siligel you could get away with adding it before :)
However, I would definitely not heat the Rosehip oil as it's a precious oil with lots of unsaturated fats which could break down quickly upon heating and lose its beneficial properties.
Oils with higher saturated fatty acids are fine to heat!
@@OrganicAlchemist thanks for the reply! makes sense :) Please keep making these awesome videos, very informative x
@@swiftswift2911 thank you, that’s very encouraging 🥰
what's the benefits of adding siligel slurry after the emulsion compare to adding it before in the heated water phase?

Does Glyceryl sterate powder works just like the flakes?
It should yea!
But make sure it is glyceryl mono stearate with CAS 31566-31-1 (you can find this number on the specification sheet) because there is also glyceryl stearate SE which sounds similar but has a higher HLB
@@OrganicAlchemist Ty 😍
Glyceryl Mono Stearate (Lancos GMS SE) is this the correct Mono Stearate .Than you
Yes that's the one! :)
Hello, this is the first time I’m hearing anyone talking about soaping. I’m actually having an issue with my formula. I believe the soaping is too much. I would love if you can do a video in more detail about how to fix your formula when this happens 💚
Hey, yes it can be an annoying issue!
I have actually talked about this in these videos:
- czcams.com/video/GAki94HhaUA/video.htmlsi=AfCoaGUv7SZWHP1S (6:55)
&
- czcams.com/video/BloYA-D9Tew/video.htmlsi=Vk-mmtDwJ8KmqKsV (3:53)
Basically you want to counterbalance the high HLB emulsifier by adding a low HLB one. This trick works well but could make the product feel heavier. You could also increase glide on the skin by using silicone alternatives like Isoamyl Laurate, Olicone and Coco Caprylate. This will be nice especially if you don’t want to make the product feel heavier like in a light lotion of face cream. Finally, beware of xanthan gum and cetearyl alcohol. I have found they can make the soaping issue worse
Thanks I will definitely watch the other videos… and I do use xantham gum so that may be causing the issue
Hi love your formulation
Can you recommend a replacement for montanov 68 please
Thanks for your comment ☺️
I think Olivem 1000 would work similarly although it would be a bit less thick maybe?
Do you have access to it or where are you based?
@@OrganicAlchemistit's also unfortunately unavailable for me, I'm based in Egypt
Can I use BTMS50 or Glyceryl stearate and PEG100 stearate
Then add a thickener if it's not the right consistency
Thanks alot for answering btw
That's very difficult unfortunately... could not find any online.
I think best option would be to get the ingredients from abroad
With Aroma Zone I think its 25€ shipping cost or free delivery above 129€ orders. Ask them first though :)
Thanks alot ❤❤@@OrganicAlchemist
Please , does it have any greesy or soapy effect after application ?♥️
It’s definitely not lightweight like a lotion but 2-3 minutes after applying the skin feels soft and not greasy. If you find it too greasy you could always decrease the mango butter and increase the oil % instead. Hope you give it a try and let me know what you think 😊
@@OrganicAlchemist so , greasy effect by mango butter not montanov 68 ? I thought that by mantanov so asked you pretty 🥹♥️and if i use oil instead butter , this won’t affect stability of emulsifier ?
Montanov 68 is used to make richer creams yes but in itself it doesn't feel so greasy. You could only use oil but then you won't have this texture. Mango Butter and Glyceryl Stearate is most likely contributing to greasiness.
The formula still has 61% water so definitely feels lighter than other body butters. Give it a try then you can adjust to your liking! :)
@@OrganicAlchemist yes pretty i luv u do much thanks for answering me , am gonna try this soon 🥹♥️
@@OrganicAlchemist the last question,🥲 what’s your opinion if i replace mango butter by lightweight oil and use this formula as buttery body lotio ?♥️
I really can't find siligel here in the us. Anything else besides xantan gum? maybe something that is not a gum?
Ah yea it seems to be out of stock in minichemist.com/product/siligel/
I think Tara Gum could be a good alternative: lotioncrafter.com/products/tara-gum?_pos=90&_sid=75112cbaf&_ss=r
or Sclerotium Gum: www.formulatorsampleshop.com/fss-sclerotium-gum.html
You could even try Cationic Guar Gum
Maybe a small amount of Colloidal Oat will be enough for stabilising but it has to be tested :)
@@OrganicAlchemist Thank you, I do get my ingredients from lotion crafter so that helps. I will try. I am pretty sure I have Sclerotium Gum. Have you tried INSTATHIX®
Xanthan Gum, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Tapioca Starch, Algin. I have been playing with that one lately. Its just not accessible here. Love your videos
@@PatriciaSolismua Thank you dear ☺
Oo yea Instathix should be great in this, I forgot about it!! I can't get access to it in Europe unfortunately but I am itching to try it. How do you like it so far?
@@OrganicAlchemist so far i really like it. I just ordered more and the shipping was so high but nothing else I can do right now.
@@OrganicAlchemist do you think Sepimax Zen may work too or Aristoflex AVC
what blender is this?
This one I got a few years ago from Germany: gastroback.co.uk/products/kitchen-cook-wine/hand-blender/1617/design-hand-blender-advanced-pro-e
It's handy because it has this little emulsifying head and it's not too expensive 😅
Maybe this one is a good alternative? www.amazon.com/VEVOR-Commercial-Immersion-Stainless-Multi-Purpose/dp/B0CQNV2RVT/ref=sr_1_3?crid=8MJ2PKQ8I4IN&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.tYlIwqxdfAhU2XcMuGJ0s7lbFcpr9yIlvXZqPktorWfpsxJbIjyVxgV_5UhkbxPpZ_2Y5iFyUrQlDwfoXUQelITLRKf4fn6KJx7ggw91rraIE1hH8U-ekkr14c5BtLG_H6oW9U5-KmdHRv-ZDMBpD2xHfn9g0hIXhejANxsFvQ9dm3pfJF8eG6O31QFEqAkLwA4Ax-zr2Y1FLjgQeAM7fxBzd_UcMdF3AoFWeRy-S00.8rx6dco0OorKe8Rar10J7PcamBBC6VIzzNjB5VBP_CY&dib_tag=se&keywords=vevor+immersion+blender&qid=1714909727&sprefix=vevor+immersion+blende%2Caps%2C186&sr=8-3
Pro Formulator Homogenizers would be Dynamix MiniPro or Misceo and they lead to the very best consistency apparently so if you can afford this one it would be a good bet :)
