First rep for some reason always seems hardest. It’s not necessarily about the touch and go either, I’m not sure why but I’m sure you’ve probably experienced it yourself at some point.
@@DaSpaceJammer because in the deadlift your muscles are relaxed at the start and in squat and bench your already tensed up in the starting position. This is why it’s called deadlift . Also if he didn’t do touch and go each rep would look like the first
Oops, I think Brent forgot that crossfitters dont know how to deadlift properly…but then again neither do weightlifters…buuuuuut zach is HARDLY even that good of a weightlifter…(insert broscience video of do you even lift)
Lol 😆. There are so many videos out there explaining why sumo is not technically easier BUT just cant get any respect deadlifting sumo so starting over and doing standard
@@robschilke Even still, often something you can pull for a 10 RM moves faster than that for the first couple of reps. That's individual though and quads and leverages play a huge role in bar speed I find.
That's awesome! Every rep looked the same. I just DLed 500 for the first time a week ago. I'm hoping to add reps until I get to 5 or maybe even 10! I don't want to DL more than 500 until I look like Zach when I DL 500!
Yo my g what’s good that’s legitimately impressive as fuck yo just be careful with your left rotator cuff your shoulder seemed to be pulled forward on the left putting more strain on the muscle
Zelander - I know the bumpers and straps look cool cause you lift more but I'm getting more frustrated with this setup from social media influencers. Yes it applies to conventional too.
@@war_josh1550 this whole touch and go deadlift with straps is just not my type of lift in general. I'd love to see 455 for 5 without straps dead off the floor. I respect that lift way more than this tbh. Social media influencer set up. Regardless if it is conventional or not, the bar is sitting deep in the fingertips and this is pretty much an RDL. I love Zack - I personally hate this lift. That's just my opinion and everyone is entitled to their own.
@@MrVigilanti I agree that if it was deadstop it would be more impressive. But I don't agree with doing it strapless being more impressive. Doing hook for more than 5 reps is pointless in my opinion. You'll just tear up your hands. I'm sure Zack could hold onto a max deadlift hookgrip, but when you hook for this many reps it's be more about pain tolerance and your thumbs ripping open
That was awesome I have no idea how you got 10 when the first rep looked like a near max effort
Touch and go helps a lot!

This always happens when you deadlift with a straight back

awesome
That first rep looked like an RPE8. No idea how you did this
touch and go reps help with that tbh
Try standing with a much wider stance, point your toes out, and then keep your hands between your legs. 20 reps easy
Oh dear

Love the Turnstile blasting in the background
Mindset is unmatched
Bros been bless with great foot structure. I been dealt a bad hand in that regard.
After the first two I thought there was no way with how slow it moved. But you just, kept, going. Awesome grind
Impressive AF!
Straight leg deads almost
I didn't expect that after the first rep
Sandwich make me stroooonggg!
How did these feel man? Bar speed looked pretty slow for a set of 10 (not a critique). Very impressive grind 👏
It's not just a set of 10..it's a maximal set of 10. We're talking RPE 10 given the load and volume.

Next level strength and endurance my bro. Keep up the nastiness Zack
Just friggin awesome man!!!
Yeaaaaaah... Turnstile 🤟🤟🤟🤟
No reset, only swag. 🦍🤲
That's insane!
Also, props for representing the sumo deadlifting community with those plate colours
😂
Damn that’s awesome bro. Sick set.
That was the smoothest 500 lb Deadlift I've seen
I can't even do one of these. Very nice form. Most impressed with the control. Not Touch and go more like touched and going. Power!
Didn't know the rainbow was so heavy! Great work

Weird spot for a pull up bar

How do you have strong grip though? I have had a challenge with that recently

I swear I've seen chalk in that gym - I've watched your videos before. That's a low knurling bar and can easily be hook gripped without too much pain.

That's a 300kg 1RM according to rep max %
The fact that someone that little can do so much tells you all you need to know about how useless deadlifts are for body building

absolutely sickening
I counted 1 rep. 8 touch and go + 1 dropped at the end (NO LIFT 🔴🔴🔴) maybe try deloading to the empty bar and working on form before you EGO LIFT
