  • The CX-9 is Mazda's big, SUV flagship and it has been updated with more cool tech, better safety features, better handling and real wood. Yup, you read that right: real wood.

    Thoroughly agree about the brakes. Pedal feels fine but I'd like a bit more early response. But they're not horrible. It's very comfortable and easy for the aging (like me) to get in and out of. I love it. The Azami LE is my next car. Ordering very soon.

    From the United States, but you certainly did a well informative review, I’m impressed! Also I’m impressed by the new 2019 Mazda CX-9’s updates and the U.S. model is also get Apple CarPlay & Android Auto for 2019 too, as well as pretty much a lot of the features that you guys have in Australia. I would love to take one for a test drive for sure!

      Jag Dhillon G’Day, mate! Glad you liked the review. In the US the Azami LE is called the Signature and I think Mazda US actually name the wood! Thank you Richard Berry

      @UncleGreatness Před 5 lety

      I tested the Signature albeit the 2018 last week. And was blown away by first the Engine. Couldn't believe a 4 cylinder had that much response, felt more like a v6. Liked the napa leather but personally not a fan of the color. Could use a few more color choices.

    the car needs heated chairs, trunk opening by sensor when passing underneath, sound of the turbo, module lift of electric windows when the windows are left open, and the best. perforated sports discs

    What a great video, thank you. Just like your video on the Volvo V40, which helped my wife choose it earlier this year, I really appreciated your perspective. I've been torn between the X3 & XC60 after ruling the CX-9 out earlier but I had no idea this update was on the way. It looks like it might be a contender now, even against the likes of BMW and Volvo. Note / PSA: Bloody BMW want to charge you to add Apple Car Play! what a joke. Turned me right off.

    • @carsguide
      @carsguide  Před 5 lety

      Grant W I remember you two! How’s the V40 going? Mazda has added pretty much all the bits which were missing - it’s a really complete and outstanding package now. Plus you don’t need to spend $60K - the Touring and even the Sport are great. It’s a lot bigger than an X3 and XC60 though - it’s more XC90 sized. But the CX-8 could be a right for you too plus if you wait a little bit you’ll see Apple CarPlay on that car and all new Mazdas in the near future - but you didn’t hear that from me ok? 😉

    • @seanwilson1837
      @seanwilson1837 Před 5 lety

      Charging a customer extra for Apple car play on a luxury brand like BMW is just such disrespect for the customer. Basically taking the piss at that point.

    Oh and nice car! Bit pricey thought, is it better than a second hand Q7 🤔?!?

    • @carsguide
      @carsguide  Před 5 lety +3

      Nima Reghabi Q7s are excellent but a second hand Q7 could land you in a world of pain 😉 if it hasn’t been maintained properly - and even if it has servicing and costs will be way higher than a CX-9 which are capped at about only $400 a service (12 months/15,000km intervals). Plus, the Mazda will have a better resale value. Cheers Richard

    • @tomjackson2341
      @tomjackson2341 Před 5 lety +1

      Don’t buy Q7 or any German SUVs. Too overrated, many small problems. Only buy it if your pocket can afford 3 and you don’t mind throwing 1 away. Super, stupidly high depreciation rate in just few yrs + the unexpected service fees
