  • Not just a marble battle, but the entire war.
Armies travel randomly across the map, engaging in combat if they meet. Once conquered, towns will produce more fighters for the player. Whenever the army goes to the home city or a friendly town, it will reinforce itself with fighters.
Fighters gain experience by scoring kills. If a fighter gains enough experience it will level up, gaining perks like additional hit points, speed and/or equipment.
Destroy all the enemy kings and armies to win!

    Changes in this version:
    - Unit and army spawning system replaced by king marbles falling into triggers. Options available are to spawn units, train units in towns, or send an attack of either 50% or 100% of the strongest town. The king and kingsguards cannot be sent this way.
    - The king marbles will run continuously while the map is active (i.e. not during battle)
    - Attacks will only send if there are enough units available in at least one town.
    - If multiple towns have a large number of units, they will also send attacks.
    - Dead players and neutral also use this trigger system. If a player attempts to spawn units without any towns or cities, a fighter will be added to its army instead.
    - New upgrade: ghost sword - marbles receive an additional weapon that cannot be blocked, deals low damage.
    - Periodic kings upgrades now only include spawners and captain.
    - New upgrade: increase speed of army on map
    - New upgrade: reduce cooldown time of abilities (e.g. spin)
    - Lots of rebalancing across multiple units

Honestly thought it was the worse, love this series but could not stand this one, was so unbalanced that was no point watching after a certain point because you know who would win. Ok I have to comment, people be absolutely sleeping on Parkinson. He is literally the most powerful marble to grace the battlefield after Sangyu and Bitdotdo (not including Petrox). Parkinson started as an unranked random gray marble defending his village with 6 other unranked buddies against an orange army of 25 with multiple marbles being leveled and named. He had to watch as his village friends and acquaintances were slaughtered in the fight leaving him to clutch the 1 v 10 against the oranges who still had their full health leveled marbles fighting. After this Parkinson would go on to win every single battle he was in, defend his village multiple times, and even break away from the village to wander around the world fighting multiple orange armies that outnumbered him. Even the orange duo that arose in the end was not guaranteed to win against him even if they managed to defeat Pretox. In the one battle that Parkinson had against the orange duo, they retreated before any side could inflict major damage, allowing Parkinson to keep his 100% WR but even if they hadn't, I'm inclined to believe Parkinson probably would have killed at least one member of the duo if the fight went on. Parkinson was simply the GOAT.

I like to think that Pretox came into these lands, fully expecting to sweep through them, he had a huge army at his back and the lands in front of him were shattered and broken between two kingless realms and one locked up in their castle. Then came Sangyu and Bitdotdo, the two warriors who by that point had killed two kings and were on the path to sweeping away the other kingdoms.
Pretox could only watch as his army he meticulously gathered fell fairly swiftly by these two legendary warriors, and once they came for him, he barely made it out alive, I believe its the closest he came to death any time after. After that battle, Pretox was humbled. Then on he barely had an army by his side, sure he didn't need it but he never joined up with any army or bandit captain. After that battle I like to think that Pretox only looked to fight any worthy warrior. The only man coming close to the green brothers being Tchef, otherwise, nobody stood a chance.

The longest Marble Kingdoms ever, with a greatly appreciated graphical upgrade and a complete overhaul of the engine with a marble dropper now determining if a particular kingdom will attack, conscript more soldiers, or even train their existing soldiers (before, you could only get passive experience through a bonus). With this being the first MK since the community post about a hypothetical MK All-Stars episode, it's time for the first addendum to my comment on that post, and we've got MANY great warriors to add to that list:
Bandit King Pretox, The Warrior Deity of the Bandits, Level 7 and a kingslayer (JESUS MARY AND JOSEPHINE WHAT KIND OF MONSTER DID YOU UNLEASH?! And he almost wasn't even allowed to get on the ground rolling, as the two Green Kingsguards immediately charged at his army and wiped out everyone except for the new Bandit King. Pretox would respond by cleaving them both in half, and then proceeded to near-single-handedly win the game for the bandits, with a whopping 190 kills, 12 of them being named heroes. If you thought Kingsguards were overpowered with their spiky helmets and devastating poleaxes, Pretox's GIGANTIC axe puts all other weapons to shame, and he even has a helmet and shield on top of it. One of the three greatest warriors in Marble Kingdoms history, with the highest overall kill count in MK history, the most named heroes killed in MK history, the best win-loss ratio in MK history at 38-0, as well as securing what I believe to be the first Bandit victory in the series.)
Spearman Parkinson, Level 6 (As if having a literal GOD leading the Bandits wasn't enough, they also had the greatest Spearman in MK history among their ranks. Parkinson was an absolute menace throughout the second half of the episode, holding an astounding 15-0 win-loss ratio and at one point taking command of an ensemble cast of Bandits. Without question the deadliest of Pretox's followers.)
Bandit Captain Monochrome and Bandits Bounty, Aas, Kithri, Wbhliatcek, and Mr Bud, The Bandit Ensemble, Levels 2-3 (A GOATED unit if I would say so myself. These mad lads fought bravely for Pretox's cause, even gaining the respect of Parkinson and coming under his leadership.)
Kingsguards Sangyu and Bitdotdo, Levels 8 and 7 respectively, and twice-over kingslayers (If you were already worried about Kingsguards and how overpowered they are, these two bastards have vindicated your fears. As soon as they were let free of the castle walls which imprisoned them, they went on an absolute rampage, eliminating two kings and killing more than 160 marbles combined. It took the most overpowered marble in MK history to send them to the Shadow Realm, and even then they wiped out that marble's entire 70-strong army.)
Orange Captain (B)engal IV, Level 4 and a kingslayer (An early standout, he was taken far too early into the episode but made his mark by scoring the first elimination of a king, said elimination having a MASSIVE impact on the rest of the episode.)
Orange King Muffinskill VI, Level 2 (I think this is the record for longest surviving king in MK history, and he did get some action in on top of that.)
Magenta Captain KittyFen, Level 3 and a kingslayer (The only Magenta marble of note in this episode, cutting down the Cyan King in the early stages of the war.)
Green Captain Kall Moss, Level 4 (The other Green hero who carried the banner despite their king's demise. He even gave the Orange King a bit of a scare early on.)
Kingsguard Dodgeviper, Level 3 (Took down two of the four Hammerman heroes. Was also Sangyu and Bitdotdo's main nemesis.)
Kingsguard Tchef, Level 4 (Yet another Kingsguard hero. I think there might be nerfs incoming.)
Kingsguard Blaine, Level 3 (Unlike the other Kingsguard heroes, Blaine would perish with his King, taking multiple strong bandits with him.)
Hammermen Difichenko and Blackhat, Levels 3 and 2 respectively (I really wanted these two to go the distance, but that damn Cyan Kingsguard had to ruin the fun.)
Berserker Gunaar, Level 4 (You may follow in Drew's footsteps, but you will never replace him.)
Knight Lightadept, Level 3 (The last of the great Green warriors.)
Hammermen Ayabehaori and Jaxinator, Level 3 (The last stand of the Orange Kingdom, killing four Bandit Captains and even significantly wounding the Bandit King before going down.)

The red king has fallen and now King Muffinskill is the sole king of these lands. The remnants of the other kingdoms still resist his rule, but his greatest foes, Sangyu and Bitdotdo, kingsguards of the late king Jordan Tyo IV and leaders of the green kingdom’s remains, were killed by a bandit called Pretox the giant. King Muffinskill continues to focus his efforts on the remaining warriors of the other kingdoms, as he does not believe that man alone will take down his kingdom. As the war goes on more and more bandits appear, looking to make a profit from the fighting, and Pretox has taken out many armies by himself, earning him the nickname “slaughter”. Once the remains of the other kingdom were wiped out, King Muffinskill decides that there’s no one to stop him from raising taxes exorbitantly and sending his army to make sure the peasantry pay it. The peasants are obviously outraged and take up arms against the army. In the fight, only one angry farmer remains and defeats the orange army, Parkinson. Muffinskill nearly has full control of these lands, with only two people fighting him: Parkinson who wants to protect his farm, and Pretox who only fights for his entertainment. The two won every battle they fought, but whenever they free a town, Muffinskill sends another army to conquer it. Parkinson knew that they couldn’t do this forever, so he went to the renowned group of bandits led by Monochrome and made a deal: they would start a kingdom of bandits, with Pretox as the bandits king. Pretox did not care for money or political power, so he would never become a tyrant like Muffinskill. And so they fought together against the orange tyrant, and word spread of Pretox the bandit king, and more bandits joined him, seeking to be part of the bandit kingdom. Nearing victory, Monochrome enters the castle and takes out many of the guards, but ultimately falls before the king. Another siege on the fortress led by bandit leader Nico tries and fails. Then finally, Pretox breaks into the fortress and slays the tyrant Muffinskill. The orange tyrant’s wife, Skywhywalker, escapes the battle and goes after the farmer who started this revolt, Parkinson, but fails. The two sons of Muffinskill, Ayabehaori and Jaxinator, fight Parkinson to avenge their mother and badly injured him. Satisfied, the two princes leave and work on reclaiming their kingdom, taking out many bandit leaders. Parkinson goes after the two boys for a rematch, but they escape and go after Pretox, the tyrant-slayer, seeking to avenge their father. Ultimately the boys are no match for their father’s killer, and die in battle. With the last of the orange kingdom gone, Pretox gains full control of the lands. Pretox, the giant, the slaughter, the bandit king, the tyrant-slayer, and now, Pretox: The Bandit Emperor!

Then proceeds to bring a army of 69 that they swept through then had a really tough challenge against him and sadly met their brotherly demise to an unexpected challenger
Then Pretox just gave a look at all the other left kingdoms, had a cold drink, then just went on his fun rampage of mockery against everyone!
This was awesome and I couldn’t stop watching this anime-like plot happen and reveal the upcomings and downfalls of great warriors!

I think this episode was more balanced there were multiple heroes with interesting fights and potential stories but the bandit king did mess with the balance of this episode so I have a few suggestions.
1.Make him start out as a slightly bigger marble that does more damage than regular units like a king but make him grow in size and strength as he levels up.
2.Make him weaker but give him a better stack of of starting marbles and give him the ability to absorb smaller bandit camps but doing so makes him stationary for a few minutes.
3.Keep him OP but make him an event character. Maybe he only appears during ragnarok or a new custom event. This could be a challenge for the dominant color at the end point of the episode
I also have a few quick ideas for bandits.
1.Bandits and neutrals could be different factions.(Bandits could be black.)
2.They could have their own version of a crusade called a raid. Were the attack settlements but go back quickly after.
3.To make raiding worth it they should have a few abilities unique to them
-The ability to take equipment from fallen enemies.(Shield's,Better weapons and armor and prisoners)
-The chance to take fallen enemies as prisoners/recruits with higher giving better chances of survival.
-The ability to pass on leadership to the next highest unit that survives but giving the reward to the faction that killed the bandit leader.
4.Finally the bandits could have different factions. This could be shown by a unique colored stripe that differentiates them from each other. They could avoid each other with a truce but can also fight.(Only bandit leaders get rewards this could be another way the bandit king forms.)
(Sorry if this got a bit long the ideas just kept flowing, even know I'm still thinking up things like bandit duels and titles like ravager, scourge and the nightmare. So sorry if this got a bit long I hope some of these ideas are helpful.)😁

In the First Age, in the first battle, when the shadows first became long, one Giant survived. He was scorched by the embers of a bloody massacre, his soul was burned by the flames of the law, he was wanted and could not live in peace, so he chose the path of eternal battles.
His hatred was so great that he could not find peace and wandered across the marbles plain, striving to plunder the kingdoms that had caused him so much evil.
He wore a bandit's crown, and those who tasted his giant ax called him... The Heroes slayer.

His own soldiers he threw onto the blades of his enemies, and so alone he fought, but not in vain, toys where the enemies he killed, living legends were thrown like rag dolls, minimal time his enemies had between the sight of the king the realization of their fate and the prompt ending of there existence,
(WARNING there is some gore talk in the remainder of this comment!)
they would then lay forgotten by their foe there blood spilled, swords bent and flesh pulverized, 38 battles fought, 38 battles won, long live Pretox , devourer of kingdoms, slayer of hero’s and king of bandits!

Interesting one to be sure. Here are some suggestions:
Make "Mustering" more likely to happen, all the armies have been quite undermanned troughout this episode, which really takes away from the grandiosity.
Bring peasants back (could be a neutral "Peasant Uprising" event or a special upgrade that adds like 75 peasants to the faction that got it).
Bring the Crusade mechanic back in some form (though maybe after a few battles [Or just one battle] the king and his guards would return to their city).
Make it so that when a settlement is taken, those that capture it might stay outside way more often.
Also, less suicidal one-man squads independently roaming around with no sense of self-preservation would be great. (It would make it so that there are fewer and greater armies around).
I would like to address the issue of Bandit Kings being too OP: Instead of nerfing them, I would suggest making it so that kingdoms have greater, better armies by the time the invader arrives, thus they would be equipped with the tools to deal with the threat.
You could also perhaps make the neutral invader/ bandit king into it's own faction (Black, for example.) This would be an emergent faction, no longer alligned with the neutrals and would be also fighting them and be able to kill bandit chiefs/ captains. Of course, for this, they could recieve a new pool of unique units and the bandit king could be reworked into a unit called "Warlord" or something like that, perhaps he could wear a silver crown or a laurel crown and his bodyguard could be essentially praetorians (big shielded units with helmets and swords). Their other units could include hoplites (essentially spearmen with shields and slightly different, more defensive stats), crossbowmen (essentially more accurate and deadly archers that take longer to reload) and legionnaires (essentially praetorians but worse in everything).
Then the bandit king could be a rarer spawn among bandit captains. (I love the idea of them eventually deciding to take matters into their own hands and invade, by the way.)
That's about it, I hope you like my suggestions here.

However, they failed to protect their king. In rage, they went around the world to get revenge for their loss, honing their abilities and becoming stronger with each battle. One day, the grey demon lord, Pretox, appeared with a huge grey army. Knowing they were the only ones who stood a chance against such power, the twins charged bravely into battle. After a long and exhausting fight for both sides, the brothers succumbed, and Pretox was free to destroy the world. Before going, however, the demon lord acknowledged the two, admitting that if it wasn’t for his army, the twins might have actually defeated him, and thus, giving them the title of strongest (colorful) marbles to ever live

The kings only stand in the castles while the heroes do all the work. Without the heroes, the kingdoms will fall. From then on, he hunted down any hero or warrior that could possibly compete with his skills. When he had slain all who could stand up to him, he and his bandits destroyed and consumed all the other kingdoms so only gray covered the flags of the lands.

Some notes as I watch this:
    Wow, archers suck.
The battles aren't as large-scale as the earlier iterations, and that's fine but it does lack a bit of gravitas. (This is remedied later on somewhat when bandits inorganically explode in number and reduce the armies down to just itself and orange, dominating the latter 3rd of the video.)
Castle guards sweep the moment their king dies, then they die in some of the weirdest ways.
That bandit king crushing two level 7+ castle guards from base just shows how blindingly OP it is. Looking at how much time is left on the clock, I'm going to guess the ENTIRE REST OF THE VIDEO will consist of Pretox killing every single marble that gets over level 4.
I like it when marbles get to really high levels through insurmountable odds and then cut through large armies. This... went in a different direction. If a single marble is spawned in and virtually unbeatable from that moment on (let's face it, 2 level 7+ marbles should have cleaned up better), then there's no tension. Oh well, half the video left.
It took 9 archers to kill a single level 3 marble. Their best contribution so far.
Spearmen very clearly made the biggest leap in improvement among the classes; just goes to show that when you're allowed to aim your weapon at the enemy, you can kill the enemy (*cough* archers *cough*). With the guaranteed helmet from leveling up ONCE they become one of the strongest units in the game almost by default. I was mistaken earlier, I forgot that Pretox will let Bandit Marbles level up endlessly, and that means only grey marbles are allowed to get strong. Parkinson swept up everything Pretox couldn't reach.
As soon as Pretox spawned, the rest of the video was predetermined. Lost all its impact for me. No more heroes, no more large armies, no more battles with unpredictable outcomes. Just orange marbles arbitrarily being allowed to retreat after any of them with more than 2 EXP gets slaughtered so the rest are prevented from amassing any power.

Yeah Honestly it should have been a green win if not for the barbarian king being broken
they gave him a weapon too big and too much movement
i think is neat to have a big boss fight
but if the marble occupies half the map it should be atleast slower that everything else
Pretox basically spamed his ability and instakill everything near him and whatever didn't die from 1 hit couldn't get closer neither
if archers were a little more competent the video would have been far more enjoyable, because you can atleast hope that by some divine intervention the archers will start spamming Pretox with arrows until he dies
i also want to see the Monks again do something for once
it should have some range atack, some aura of convertion or insta-convert anything that it touches
the monk has the worst range from the game, a mid health pool, no hope of leveling up and no way of defending himself or aproaching the enemys
he has to by mere chance be just next to a marble with just enough health to be converted and the book has so little range that most likely the monk will miss and then will die

I'm not going to sugarcoat it. Pretox is a little TOO busted, I see him dealing damage even striking THROUGH his enemies' weapons and the rotation speed and size just stack way too well. Truly, he is the only character in Marble Kingdoms capable of challenging Thanos himself.

  • @flyingcookie5639

Wow. I think we can all agree these new massive axemen are wayyyyyyy too powerful. It was far too much work to kill even a basic one in this episode, when they usually... well... just suck. Same for spearmen. They are harder to hit than anything, so if they also get a lot of health and power they quickly become overpowered. Also maybe consider giving them shorter spears at low level. Like swordmen.
Some unrelated ideas I got while watching older episodes (yellow paladin I will never forget you o7) :
    - Regaining health when visiting a town
    - Promotion option to kingsguard for the leading marble of an army than clean bandits (would then stay in the castle)
    - Civil war : all towns release all marbles on the battlefield
    - The bigger the army, the slower it moves

How about taking this opportunity to join the diplomatic system? There are two options: peace and alliance, and the king can choose either one. Set up a new unit: Messenger, sent by the king. When the messenger goes to a kingdom of other colors, the local king chooses whether to accept the agreement. When accepted, the agreement takes effect immediately. Peace: neither side will attack each other; Alliance: Both armies can form a coalition to jointly suppress the war. How about when the barbarian king appears and other kingdoms join forces to suppress him?
