Just bought this based on your review! Thanks for the info.
You've got me sold! I'm going to look into buying it here in Canada. Thanks for the detailed review, it was very helpful.
I'm glad you enjoyed the review Andries, thanks for watching 🙏😊
First after watching. :P
1. I love the sliding strap
2. I like how there is a laptop compartment inside
3. The bottom pockets are nice and also acting as a strap to keep the bag well fit.
I only hope it'll be available here in the Philippines. ❤️ I need this one, perfect for me.
P.s. You love the cords, you mentioned it three times. 😁 But yeah, this is the most forgotten feature in most backpack designs.
The pack has some really great features 👍
SAYSKY mate some really good quality running kit and yes the bungee cords are awesome! 😂
Thanks for watching the channel and taking the time to comment it's really appreciated 🙏
Spot on, this vid has sold me the backpack , i shall now be purchasing 1 : )
Thanks Ben really gkad you enjoyed the review and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
Great review. Really wanted to get this bag. But it's sold out and discontinued. Saysky must have only made 500 of them 😁. New bag coming in "the fall" they told me.
Do I need this for online school? Probably not...BUT do I want it? YES!
Love this! 😂😂😂
Ich habe mein Commuter backpack im letzten Jahr gekauft. Bin schon öfter zur Arbeit gelaufen (ein Strecke 17 Kilometer). Man bekommt alles für die Arbeit mit ohne daß er unkomfortabel wird.
Interesting review. It looks like the pack would work for more or less casual wear for a day our and about too, which is kinda rare for pack marketed as commuter packs. This looks like it could be a really nice around smallish backpack for lots of situations
You are right and living so close to where I work that's what I'll use it for 👍 Also it would make a good race day pack when we're back racing! put all you race day kit inside, shoes, shorts, vest etc, perfect for that as well. So it really does have multiple uses 😊
Thanks for watching the channel and taking the time to comment it's really appreciated 🙏
I love my 12 set I use for my daily run-commute but that Saysky pack looks quality. I would guess it might feel slightly bulkier but the storage looks a far better layout.
All the SAYSKY kit is good quality Robbie 👍
You're right it's definitely a bit bulkier than a 12 set, that's why I don't think it would work as a trail running pack. But when it comes to commuting, what it's really designed for it works well 😊
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's really appreciated 🙏
Looks like it would work as a ride to work pack, hopefully eliminating bounce
It would definitely work on a bike Stuart, It's a really well put together pack! I had no movement while running so it should be fine when it comes to cycling 😊
Thanks for watching the channel mate 🙏
I was thinking of using the salomon adv skin 12 as a run commuter pack. Will it be able to fit a laptop? I wanted to get it for ultra training too so wondered if it can also be used as a run commuter pack. I was going to wear the Salomon shakedry jacket over it to protect the vest from rain
It really depends what size your laptop is Bilal? If its a big laptop you'd probably struggle to fit it in the Adv 12 vest because it's not designed to commute with 🤔
The dancing at the end; Loyd for Strictly 2021? 🤔
Yeap I'm in Stuart! Don't tell anyone though it's top secret at the moment 🕺🤫
And for running, what backpack do you recommend? thanks
There's lots of reviews on the channel for running packs Mih 👍
I'm a big fan of Salomon's Advance 12 set but I'd also look at the packs from Harrier trail. They are a British company making some great value trail running kit 😊
Hope this helps and definitely check out our other running pack reviews 🙏
How du ,I'm after some advice on trail shoes that are good for paths and off road ,many thanks i currently run in Nike and new balance fresh foam
Hi Nicky 😊
There's lots of shoes that will do that but I'd always recommend going to a good running shop if you can and trying on as many pairs as possible! Obviously everyone's foot shape is different and every shoe is different 🤔 here's a few shoes that cross over from road to trail pretty good -
Salomon Sense Ride 3
Saucony Xodus 10
Hoka Speedgoat 4
Hoka ATR
Brooks Cascadia
New balance fresh foam Hierro v5
Nike Pegasus Trail 2 (as long as the trails aren't technical!)
Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
@@Run4Adventure many thanks, love the channel
@@nicksrunningandadventureschann No worries Nicky, really glad you're enjoying it 👍😊
Can a 13.3 in laptop (Lenovo x13) fit in this bag?
Yes you could fit a 13.3" laptop in there. Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏😊
I can not find this backpack for sale anywhere in the UK ?? !!!!!!!!
I think the pack has sold out at the moment Ben? 🤔
What is the best run commute backpack in your experience?
It's hard to say Bilal 🤔
I haven't actually ran in a lot of commuter packs if I'm honest. My current commute to work is a 2 min walk so I don't really need to 😊
Sorry I can't be of more help but thanks for watching and supporting the channel its really appreciated 🙏
Hahaha. As someone who run commuted every day for years. All I can say is no way!
Unless you have great lockers, showers etc at work, get a solid 25litre, with a rain cover. Your going to be carrying more than you think.
Make sure that the zips are solid and if they burst things will still stay in. Check out the back as well, work on the basis the bag will be crammed full and something will be sticking in you. You need space and plenty of it. 15l way too little
Most important get that rain cover. Unless you want to be walking around at work all day like you’ve wet yourself
I totally understand what your saying Richard but to be honest I wouldn't commute in if there wasn't a shower.
Obviously everyone's situation is different and different kit suits different situations 😊
Some peoples commutes are longer, some have showers and some don't. I'm interested to know what it's like running with a 25ltr back pack full up with stuff! 🤔
You're right about the rain cover, you definitely don't want wet work gear!
Thanks for watching the channel and taking the time to comment it's really appreciated 🙏
@@Run4Adventure thanks. Your right, everyone has different needs etc. But running your commute needs a bit of thought. It’s a means to an end, getting to or from work
Personally, I caught a train into London and then ran 8-10k every day to my office for years. I was lucky my company had a gym and lockers, but the lockers had to be emptied over night so everything had to be kept by my desk in an open plan office! Thief/ pranksters paradise. No socks - oh how we laughed!
I left suits and shoes in the office but had to carry other things. For example, standing on a train platform, prior to a run, waiting for the train, in just running gear can be cold, so you wear a small jacket. Plus not everyone appreciates a sweaty man wearing 3 inch running shorts pushed up against them, first thing. Everything has to go in the bag. Your laptop might need a charger, that goes in the bag. I had a small travel towel for showers, that goes in the bag. You forget something for work, that goes in the bag. It soon adds up.
Running with a 25litre bag is not really an issue. Just slow down until you get use to it and make sure you have hip straps. That is where the weight is carried, on your hips. A few runs in and you will soon be ditching any surplus kit.
Running to or from work is a great way of fitting in the miles though, I would recommend it. A summers morning running along the Mall or in Green Park, or even a local park is glorious. Not quite the same on an old ring road with big puddles though!
You're so right Richard, commuting is a great bonus to your training 👍
I call commuter miles, free training miles 🏃♂️😊
Thanks again for watching the channel 🙏
@@richardb7726 Hi I’d be interested in the backpack you are using? I have been given a laptop for work now as transitioning to hybrid working and I need to review the logistics around my commute, and need something bigger with laptop sleeve (14inch). Got showers at work and been commuting either running or cycling for many years but never with a laptop, and I could do with a 12l so far with no issues (locker at work). Thanks
@@bn357 Hi, here’s a fuller explanation to hopefully help you out.
I retired a few years ago so no longer do my daily commute. I worked in central London in a old style ‘formal’ office. Suit and tie job. Typically, I would travel by train to Euston and then run from there to my office. I did this every work day for around 8 years, initially I did around 6k then my office moved and I did 10k. They didn’t consult me on the move!
I could carry a shirt, tie, my shoes, smart trousers, socks, pants . Laptop, leads etc. very important to have a rain cover, unless you want to walk around with wet patches all day. I would leave a suit jacket at work but would try to get away without wearing it. An open plan office meant I could not leave smelly gear lying around or trust things to be there when I got back.
I basically had two ruck sacs I would use. One was a typical laptop specific commuting rucksack, I think it was a wenger gigabyte or similar. The laptop wasn’t an issue, it was getting a rucksack with plenty of internal compartments so I could fit a travel towel, kit etc in as well. I would often have to go to meetings across London and didn’t want stinky gear falling out in someone’s office. Plus zips on small bags can often split open. This bag was solid.
I also had and still use a mil-tec 25 litre. I would use this if I was travelling further afield and needed more kit for a couple of days. I could run in this no problem. At first I was unsure about ‘army surplus’ type kit. But it is great, plenty of solid zips and waterproof ish compartments. It’s also fairly cheap. They come in black if you don’t fancy camouflage. I have also used them when travelling for work in places where you have to have your kit with you at all times. They also do a smaller 20l sac, which might fit a smaller laptop.
Both of these bags were great, I found you don’t need a hip strap, although you might consider fitting a cheap chest strap if your bag doesn’t have one. My bag was never that heavy that my arm circulation got cut off by the straps but this would help with this. Overall I would suggest trying the mil tec, it’s a very good bag, not to expensive and solid, which is what you want. Montane etc are ok but too flimsy. I have tried them. Trust me, you will spend 100 quid on them and then wish you didn’t. Go for solid and remember you have to store the kit when you are at work, walk around etc.
Good luck
This bag doesn't seem to exist 🤔
Saysky might have sold out Shiv? This video was made a whole ago now. Thanks for watching though and sorry you can't find it 🙏
@@Run4Adventure thanks 👍🏿you fancy flogging yours? 😁
