I met Mr. Brad Paisley at a ranch near the village of Comstock, Nebraska. I remember seeing him after the concert and I asked him to pray for the ranch owners and the business and he said, "I'm right there with you brother.".
Its great to hear Brad affectionately say he owns a farm.

Recap by Tammy AI
I don’t know much about Brad, but he’s down to earth and hilarious. Enjoyed this one.
Neither do I, but there's a video of him and other top level guitar heroes playing the 'Game of Thrones' theme here on CZcams and he's a great, great guitarist. His solos had the others impressed.
Look up some of his “instrumental” tracks. Brad paisley is known as in the guitar community as one of if not the best guitarist of all time. He can play any genre and uses jazz constantly
Exactly! Genuine and comfortable in his own skin.
That’s how his music is as well. I’m not big on country but I’ve adored him since the first time I heard him. Saw him twice and both times he put on a great show. That says a lot considering I’m normally more of a metal girl.
Brad campaigned for Obama, (just like Garth Brooks did), when he wasn't playing with the Dixie Chicks. Yeech
Bill and Brad singing Mac Davis with drinks, weed and cigars, good stuff.
It's always interesting when Bill has musicians on and they discuss the best music of the last 50 years.
Trite Balogna I'm just upset my cat was run-over and died beautiful orange and white
I agree 100 %
As opposed to the DEBT CEILING. 😅
Brad campaigned for Obama, (just like Garth Brooks did), when he wasn't playing with the Dixie Chicks. Yeech
I grew up with guys like Brad in Ohio, and it's the best. I can relate to the humor, demeanor, personality and outlook on life. Southern/Midwestern people are the best. After 42 years, I'm still convinced of it.
I've noticed that the South reaches up to Ohio. The soft border is Route 30, and the hard border is I-70. Many Appalachian Americans.
I'm not a country music fan, but Brad is dam cool. Also, I really miss Real Time!
Ha! Real Time's coming back in a few months. Hold tight!
Did the writers strike end?
@@j7220 D'OH. I forgot about that. My bad.
@j7220 no not yet
Fuck fridays was my res tome til the strike
Brad seems like an unconventional country star. Super talented
You should see him shred on guitar... watch the "Game of Thrones" video with him, where he plays with Tom Morello, Nuno Betancourt, etc... the man is GOOD at guitar.
My first exposure to brad paisley....
Not that he needs my approval but this guy is all right
✌😎🎼🎵🎶👍
I disliked country music until I was taken to a Brad Paisley concert in 2007. He was amazing and i've been into country music ever since.
i used to hate coutry then 20 years ago i heard a merle haggard drinking song and i was hooked
Brad Paisley doesn’t sing country music. Maybe a couple songs. Generally not.
@723taylorjharris So Brad doesn't sing country, but then you say he does? Great comment.
@@BradyQuartermaine He said a couple songs are country. That's a drop in the bucket compared to his entire catalog. I'd classify Brad as a neo-traditional country artist when he first started out, and then he moved more towards country-rock and pop. Like Bill Maher said, many modern day country artists have a similar trajectory.
Brad is such a great guitar player!
Truly one of best around.
Thanks Bill.
Thanks for club random.....i am missing real time real bad
The Late Night Comedian's bring me ALOT OF INFORMATION 😅
That's what I MISS. 😊
Hilarious! Enjoyed spending time with Brad Paisley and Bill. Such good chemistry, flow and great vibes. Brad is an outstanding person as well as an entertainer.
What a nice guy... Brad. He holds his own with Bill very well. Very entertaining conversation.
His laugh is kind of hilarious!
@@floresnashvilledrummer Agreed! 😁
Met Bill recently super nice guy, super surprised he is less than 5 feet tall, but very nice
He would st his pants if. He thought someone thought he was 5 feet’. I think he’s 5 ft 7.’’’’’’
Lol he is around 5’9, same height or a little taller than Bill
Bill is 5' 8".
Brad 5' 9".
He looks short on a lot of pictures standing next to his guests.
Lucky for me, I got to meet Brad right when he got signed. My friend was on the same label and they brought him to dinner where I was there server (that's what unsigned artists do, wait tables). He was fresh into town. Kind and lovely! Then, I have another friend who wrote a song that Brad wanted to use, and he changed a few lines so it became a co-write. Brad is a stand-up human! And, when Edward Van Halen passed ❤🤍🤎🎸👑, he honored him in his show, and that is difficult to do guitar-wise, but Brad is an AMAZING guitar player, and it seems as though he kept HFT alive to this day! It is so refreshing to see him try and bridge the gap between the right and left (that's what he is doing in case you didn't notice). Thanks Brad!! Rock On lil brother! 🎸
N I C E. 😅
He also wouldn't drop his old band mates when he got signed to a label. Good family man. Very stand- up.
I Love music, baseball & Barbra. Especially when Bill talks about these joys.I always learn something new & add a song to my playlist.
Bill's not married? I didn't realize that.
Well, actually, come to think of it, I guess he has mentioned it every single fucking podcast.
It’s like Joe Rogan mentioning bears on his show lol
@@kyledodson2992 I don't watch Rogan much but I thought his thing he always mentioned was DMT
@@kyledodson2992hahaha hahaha joe does do that, of mentions some type of monkey or ape gorilla, hahaha !
Pretty sure he doesn't have any kids either.
@@crucify40 Really? Boy, wouldn't have guessed that one either.
Once again hits it out of the park. Been a bill fan for a long time but been a brad fan longer
Not s big county fan but I love Paisleys guitar playing he's so cool
One of the best
Same here, not a country music guy at all, _but_ he is a helluva guitar player & he's a local Ohio Valley native. 😎
why arent you a country fan? tell me your preferred music and i will suggest a country song you will love.
@@tested123I don't understand why Garth Brooks has a career. I think he's a psycho.
@@tinpanally51_36 lots of psychos make good music
Another Sunday Night at Club Random 😎
Ace album
Is anyone more proud of never having been married than Bill Maher? He reminds us of it constantly.
I cnt hate him for it tho…
He's a smart man.
It comes off as a desperate need for validation, though.
He's getting older and there's definitely some regret in his voice about never getting married or having kids, no matter how well he tries to hide it, and he's looking for people to tell him that it's ok.
@@lj5190 I totally agree.
I completely disagree, especially with the no kids thing. Bill has made it very clear he just doesn’t like kids, not everyone has this “ yearning “ to have a kid, I never did either.
I'm 44 mins in and just love the conversation about Miley's song flowers!!! This is awesome!! I agree with you both! I just wish Bill would give Metal music a chance. That's my favorite music!!!!! 🥰🥰
I once read a single Brad saw "Father of The Bride " at our local cinema. Years later he meets Kimberly. ❤
I don't gravitate to country music but I do love certain songs performed by specific artists! Like who doesn't love Dolly ? Working Nine To Five, one of her best!
even john mellencamp?
I will always have kind feelings for Dolly...
Good to see two guys that don't have much in common be able to sit around and chill with some good conversation.
you know that this happens much more often than people think even nowadays..
@@caangler6698 Not anymore.
True - That Richard Dreyfus episode was BONKERS 😂And I’m a big fan - Love American Graffiti, Close Encounters, etc. & watch “Jaws” ever 4th of July. He’s a National Treasure imo.
So happy to see Brad on club random. That is so funny about the steel guitar. I knew that was the instrument you were going to mention. Every time my husband hares a steel guitar he says “ what is that”😂😂😂
Brad has written some outstanding songs over the years. 👍👍
Yes this is one of the best ones. You guys are such comrades on so many levels. This may be one of your best only because I have the flow and common interests and passions. Just wonderful thank you again Bill. And thank you Sammy you guys are awesome
I also love listening to albums start to finish. Though for me it was in CD format. So much so, when I hear a song on the radio, after it ends, I start singing the next track on the album.
I had an 8-track in my car in the 70s and I still expect certain songs to have the stop/changeover-pause that the 8-track did.
thanks Bill and Brad. I always actually wondered these things about you two. My favorite BP album is "Play". "Kentucky Jelly", awe man that album is so timeless.
One of the things I've enjoyed most about CR is when Bill discusses music with a knowledgeable guest. It's obviously a passion of his but one that doesn't get explored on Real Time.
Love the podcast Bill. Been listening to all your content for over a decade and these podcasts are some of your best work.
Still waiting for a Club Random with Geddy Lee and/or Alex Lifeson... that's greatness waiting to happen.
He would not doubt try to tell them about music! Probably tell that Neil Peart couldn't write. Lol
@@will-grier-investor I don't think he would say that at all. Bill is a thinking man, therefore he would love Neils words.
One of the very best Club Random. They feel like good friends just shooting the shit
4:53😂
Listening to Bill tell Brad he neVer understood Cigar smoking......
6 minutes in and we hear Bill isn't married
“Hey my name is Bill, let me tell you why I don’t like marriage..”
Also: NO KIDS..LOL 😅
Good job Bill! Finally one without mentioning vaccines!
This was way better than I was expecting
So proud of this West by God Virginia man!
THANKS GUYS GREAT TALK!!!
If if I ever get invited to Club Random to be interviewed by Bill, and I probably will, the first thing that I'm going to do is tell him that what I love most about his interviews is that he never interrupts and never speaks about things he doesn't know about.
Finally, I will tell him what I'm most impressed about is that he never argues just to argue. Scholars have proven this "to be the sign of true genius".
This was a great podcast and this coming from someone whose no where near a fan of Brad Paisley's music. Although, he as a person seems very insightful and more importantly.... relatable.
His music is great. You definitely need to check it out. One of the best guitarists of his generation
@@Abax77 His music is great it's just not my style, but I'll definitely have to check out more of his guitar work. Nice page btw.
@46:44 "Literally, I'm a prostitute"
Can't you just picture Bill sitting back, smoking some weed, and enjoying some country music?
Yeah, me either.
Is there something wrong with country music? Or what's your angle here?
For the clueless, Bill has talked about enjoying Brooks and Dunn and others.
Good music is good music, and country has some good music
Can you imagine bill not mentioning trump in each single podcast he’s ever made? I don’t 🤣🤣🤣
Are you playing off of the song he has called me neither? 😂😂😂
Well said.
I enjoyed the 3 times when Bill almost let Brad get his full point across without interruption.
Exfuckingactly
I like the shows, very good 👍🏻 only one thing, just OCD the table in between the chairs is not large enough. To much stuff 🤪😂
I like Brad ... great interview/chat 👍
Brad and his wife are Salt of the Earth.
Simply, this was/is G-R-E-A-T !👍🏻
I like Brad. He's funny.
"Baby, baby, don't get hooked on me" is probably Bill's personal theme song! 🔹🔹🔹
Great interview, good chemistry.
Ah I love that Bill Mentioned Jackson Browne. One of my favs:)
Love Brad Paisley, he’s so awesome!!
This chit chat with Brad was awesome, have you ever thought of having Blake Shelton?? stock up on extra booze! Lol
Great Show,, fun
Why is Bill dressed like a magician lol. Great show.
Magic 🎉
He is gonna try to make Donald Trump disappear!😅
Great one!. Actually, to make one point, George Harrison wrote most of his earlier songs (1963-=69) were all about Patti. Between He and Eric Clapton (they both married her) she is the most written about muse in history. Over 10 songs hit the charts about her.
Patti who?
Nice, fun interview. Thanks.
Good show, Bill
Paisley shreds
Damnit!! Now they got that song stuck in my head..... 🎶 Baby, baby, don't get hooked on me 🎶🫤
brad is the man! great episode
whats lit Billiam been listening to your shows for years just dropping a comment
One of the best song writers out there.
Great music interview
My favorite Club Random interview so far!
Another great episode! Here I am on Friday wishing I could laugh as you roast Trump, the GOP, and Dems about their latest BS. Us old school Liberals miss your funny ass!!!
" She put him out like the burning end of a midnight cigarette" The greatest line in country music !!
Time to get Joey Diaz on…may break the internet
I think bills brain might break.. but I agree.
Gotta do it Bill
That'd be tremendous!!
He’d smoke Bill under the table and crack him up
Why would you want Joey Diaz on? Bill is a Hollywood limousine riding elitist. Uncle Joey is from the streets.
I😢 complained about my lover sending me red roses, very expensive, from Sweden to Spain - I said it should have been a plant! Later we lived together for 18 years with terraces full of blooming pots, never forgot the roses though ❤
love bill's disdain for Miley Cyrus "flowers" song hahahahahahahah
ONE TRICK PONY is not only an…AMAZING LP, it’s one of the best Rock & Roll Films…EVER!
Bill, i know you don’t read this , but this format of you shooting the s,,,,, is great, some of you political views suck hahah, but you one in a million, respect
That was sooo much fun. Brad is one of the best guitar players alive today and is so cool, intelligent, and well-grounded AND rounded.
They're talking about country musicians turned actors near the end... Dwight Yoakam was a hell of an actor. I think I only saw him in Sling Blade and Panic Room, but he had that talent.
My dad Jaroslav Jakubovic plays sax on one trick pony .
❤
Also , bill I met you 11 years ago at that hotel in the marina in San Diego with that stage where rockstars perform and u did too. We crossed paths next to my room and I said bill ! U looked at me and I said “…. Uhhh… I love you”. And u said thank you and kept walking . Cheers .
Lovely story!
@@monicabeaston4996 haha it is ! I wish I could be a guest on his show . I have so much to say and talk to him about in different angles . But I’m nobody . Besides large amounts of musical talent . I have nothing (;
I concur. Can we not just live in the Year we’re living in! Genius.
Awesome guest.
Finally someone mentions Dreyfuss falling off that chair...
Good episode. I believe the instrument they are referring to is the theramin.
I’m sorry for my ancestors and I’m ready for us all to heal, but I don’t know how to make amends for something that I didn’t do and as I feel now. I would have fought against.
Brad's is just a great guy and family man. Great guest Bill.😊
Also Brad & Kim's CHARITY WORK 😅
Yeah, a great family guy smoking a blunt.
Yeah. I can't believe Brad agreed to be on Bill's show. Makes me appreciate Bill more.
@@monicabeaston4996 Brad told Bill that he never misses Real Time so apparently Brad is a big fan of Bill's so then it isn't too surprising that he did Club Random. A nice surprise, I agree.
Brad definitely looks younger than 50. Like Bill, I too guessed him in his thirties!
I'd say not a DAY over 49. 😅
I knew he'd been a performer for quite a while so I thought he was around 40. Very young looking no matter what Kimberly says lol
Bill, how about Willie Nelson and Emmylou Harris at Club Random?
I just put on the "Celebrity" and "Online" videos for the first time. Shatner and Jason Alexander were in the videos, but he also had Maureen McCormick (Marcia Brady) AND Taylor Swift in the video.
Now I want Dave Grohl to sit down with Bill.
Or Keith Urban
Ok Mr Bill. Change the talking points about no marriage, no kids. We get it. New music? By the way, this was one of your best interviews!
I've been a fan of Brad Paisley for basically as long as he's songs on radio, but never thought about the fact that he has virtually no dialect when he speaks..until Bill pointed out "you don't have an accent." Some Country stars who have been away from their home land for even longer than Paisley has been from WV still have whatever "twang" that is common where they are from. Garth Brooks has been away from Oklahoma since Brad was in high school, but still sounds like an Oklahoma redneck as does Blake Shelton. Shelton has even spent time in Hollywood doing The Voice, but still sounds "Oklahoma." George Strait has been away from Texas for more than forty years, and I still hear the Texas "twang" when he speaks.
I thought George still lived in Texas?
Another great episode. You should try get Tim Allen or Martha Stewart.
Bill! "Flowers" is the reverse lyrics of the Bruno Mars song. Apparently it was their song... definitely changes the song/lyrics for me
Ice-T may beg to differ on your cop show jab.
😂
47:41 “Good Vibrations” was released 10 October 1966.
He had good teachers and good advise, and he listened.
I'm 25 mins in and I have to say, I always watch because I'm a huge Bill Maher fan!!! Also THANK YOU for bringing up the one with Richard Dreyfuss I didn't know what the hell was going on but couldn't stop laughing. Bill you handled it with such style!!!!
Let’s talk about what shade of red those shoes were for a few more minutes. 😂
I LOVE Al the brad paisley albums up until "mud on the tires" when he was single he had the best heartbreak songs but once he got married it was all happy songs. If I'm going to listen to country I like to be sad even though I'm happy😂😂😂😂 if that makes sense
What? Mud on the tires is a great, happy song. Love it. Love ticks too- isn't that after he got married?
This my favorite marriage podcast on the internet
Hey Bill, long time viewer. I dont know where else to send you a note. I would love to see rapper Tom MacDonald talk with you please....
