A week of struggles. A week of triumph. A week of refball. This was all part of the Week Three diet (some more frequent than others), but the NFL season continues to roll along. As narratives begin to form and questions arise about former contenders, what was in store for the teams questing for a playoff appearance? Our first five games are hell, and we've got games against Buffalo and Tampa down the line, but outside of that every game is VERY winnable.
After week five we'll start winning just enough to not get a top qb prospect. Carson Wentz (if he doesn't get hurt) will look good and as long as there's a chance at the playoffs we won't keep him out with the mindset of "yes we lost the first round pick but Wentz is our future anyway".
We're likely tanking for a franchise QB again. 10 years after Luck.

Adding on to the La'el Collins story:
The NFLPA was able to get his suspension reduced to two games, but he still decided to appeal it. Not only did the arbitrator reject his appeal, but ruled that the suspension should go back to the original five games.
That is incredible.
I almost added that in too, but wasn't sure about some of the details. Even more of a lolcow.

I thought it was weird that it took everybody until Monday to remember that it was the Lions who had another longest field goal record set against them back in '71. Well the Lions had a touchdown, and a first down that shouldn't have been called. The missed delay of game may have been another one of those "make-up calls" the refs have been doing lately. The Lions were not robbed in this game, and anyone who thinks they were is a biased hack. Whenever the Ravens get bad calls, everyone seems to like it and no one says a thing.

That second Mahomes interception, I literally said aloud "Why is he trying to play hero ball?!" As a Chiefs fan, obviously I know how good Mahomes is, but two terrible interceptions in two back to back weeks that in their own way cost us the games, it's so frustrating lol
