I appreciate, when you aim the camera at the sun. It tells us right away if its a cheaper lens that can't handle the light and blots out the sun with a black dot like our wingsland x1 does. This one seemed to be ok

Nice video. Someone posted a video of the same drone with a frequent troubling sudden color change in the video and I was wondering, must have been a wrong setting. This video makes the hs510 look better. The usual slowdown on 80, Iâm not far away towards Mt Diablo. It seems they are getting more restrictive on drones, no flying in California state parks and no flying in East Bay Regional Parks.
Yes itâs making it hard to fly here in California. Thanks Steve for watching and for the camera, it has a strange yellow color to it when getting to much light in the camera. I left the video unedited so people can see as well, I didnât notice until I uploaded the sd card footage.

Make sure you check that your Bluetooth is not running when you're flying this and if you're using a phone that receives signals put it on airplane mode my picture camera problem I just got one of these and I'm going to test it to I hope it works out bought it from Amazon so can be returned all right man keep up the good work

My question was are you sure how long your flight times are let me know and I just got this in today so I haven't had time to test it I've been flying drones about two years since quadcopters came out so I'm not an amateur I just wanted something that was easy to go out and flying have fun I don't worry about the camera too much but I do think that the pictures it takes is beautiful anyway let me know what the flight time is thank you and you be safe also if you just want to go to my site which I've had for about 6 years now but one drone but there are quadcopter and made out of PVC pipe take a look at it
My flight off camera is about 13mins 48 section on first charge of one of the batteries.I believe ya, I wasn't saying your not experienced in flying. I usually have my iphone on airplane mode and Bluetooth off. I mentioned this in all my videos but this one, since I was only flying a few hundred feet away. When I do range test I always have everything off So the phone is not trying to run all my apps. A lot of people have drone apps crash do to not turning on airplane mode. I tried flying it today with my Samsung Galaxy 5S it won't stay connected to Wi-Fi that's okay it's still a lot of fun to fly I flew 12 minutes on first and second battery pro total of 24 minutes on the first warning and landed thank you and have a good night
if something don't read right when I text you just go ahead and try to figure it out my phone does that sometime. Also on the c fly dream I get about 14 minutes on the battery with with video from beginning to the end
I also have the Bebop 1 in the Bebop 2 when I want to fly longer all good not bad.
I'm curious about if I'm not flying and GPSI'm just playing in attitude mode will it just land or will it going to GPS it doesn't really say I seen many that will automatically go to GPS in attitude are in GPS mode what do you think

Hey! Just curious did you experience any issues with it finding enough satellites or dropping connection? Have a HS 110G and that thing can barely hold on to sattelites even in an open field and goes completely nuts when there is any kind of interference so I'm wondering if this is (hopefully a lot) better than that.
No, this one has a solid gps connection. This drone is really a rebrand of the MJX bugs7, so itâs a really nice flying drone.

If I may ask, how can you tell if the drone is in GPS mode? On my controller, the GPS is in the on position -
Hey I have a question. I got my hs510 for Christmas and today I decided to try it out. To my surprise when I powered the drone on it made all the beeping noises but the front light wouldnât turn and I couldnât bind. I tried holding the lock button and turning on the controller. I tried both batteries and still wouldnât work. Do you have any suggestions or do you think it is defective?
When you turn the drone and controller on, does the controller and drone does not connect? If not then the manual shows how to reconnect the two together again. If they do connect, make sure to do your gps compass calibration. Wish I can be more help, Iâm just been very ill.
Any drone under the 250g with the specs of a dji spark ? Would love for dji to bring out the spark again with better camera same gestures .
Just the dji mini is the closest to the Spark. The mavic mini 1 has dropped in price a lot. I still fly my Spark, even though I have the mavic air one and two. The Spark is still a great drone. Thanks for watching

My plans are just to take footage of me when I'm fishing for my youtube page and seeing that the spark has the amazing gesture where you can control it with your hands pretty much is amazing. It pretty much just gonna hover around me taking footage and seeing on how social media or youtube only takes up to 1080p then why get something that 4k,5k or even 8k if your not gonna be able to upload that kind of quality
I hear ya, CZcams will upload in 4K. I just donât have a PC to be able to do that, I use only my iPhone to edit and upload.

That is one wobbly drone, that is not very good. :D DJI looks like a still image when you fly it.
I need help saving the footage and pictures from the drone using the app. It won't let me attach it to my gallery or anything
You checked the photos in the app? It should be saved in the app photo gallery. You should of been asked when you started the drone app if you expect the app to access your phones photo gallery. If you see the photos and videos in the apps gallery, you can press the video or photo you want to upload to your phone. After you selected the video or photo you want, just press the share Symbol and select save to phone. But if the apps gallery is empty and no videos or photos, then the drone did not record.

Would this be a good drone to gift my husband for christmas. Heâs never had one before. Or would you recommend another one on the $200 price range?
If he has never flown a drone before, I would get him the holystone hs120d. I made a few videos on it, the videos you can find in my Holystone playlist. Has he gets better at flying then he can upgrade later to this faster brushless drone. So just out the HolyStone HS120D, itâs a better drone to learn from. Itâs up to you and Iâm not sure how fast of a learner he is with Remote controls. This hs510 he can learn from too, itâs just a lot faster drone do to the brushless motors. The brushless drone for sure, the hs510. The hs120d is very easy to learn from, so thatâs why I Suggest that one for beginners. I would keep saving and by a dji mini.

No there only brushed motors on the hs120d. Brushless is the way to go, they will last much longer.

I gave it away already, I recommend a Dji mini. Itâs worth saving up for and much easier to learn from as well.
why doesn't this HS510 have a calibrate gyro process? The HS165 does and is recommeneded before each flight? I had problems with the HS510 moving around on me. The HS165 was stable as could be?
just watch this video again and see you can do a gyro calibration. down and to the left on the joy sticks. Doesn't mention this in the manual? How did you know this?

I would keep saving up a bit more to buy a dji mavic mini. Just to be honest with ya, 200 is too much for this one.
@@BIGDRONEFLYER77RC Thanks but too late. I found the ZLL 906 Max for $200 with 3 batteries so I ordered that. I have a feeling about any $200 model will be fine for me. I watch videos where they downplay the video quality and I'm like....wow that looks freaking amazing to me LOL. It would be great if I have it a while and enjoy it so much I decide a mini would be justifiable. But I really doubt I could ever pay that much for a side hobby. That money is much more likely to end up at the gun store!
I reviewed it too and itâs not to bad, just donât try to fly too far like some people do. A lot of people try pushing that drone out of sight and think itâs a dji. Lol
Just keep it in line of sight and you should be fine, just the WiFi range is not to good. Well have fun and enjoy.
@@BIGDRONEFLYER77RC oh yeah I just want some vids of family outings, nothing special. I had a Hubsan several years ago and it went crazy, took off from me full speed and crashed hard into a tree. I had zero control and it wasn't even far at all, maybe 100 yards. Turned me off from drones for about 3-4 years, literally. So now I'm just willing to try them out again, hopefully better luck. The mjx bugs 7 is what this drone really was rebranded from. I would save for dji, itâs worth the wait in saving up for.

WiFi brake up too soon. Iâm going to make a video soon, I had to return the ex5 do to motor problems. So I will have more details soon. Just waiting on the new ex5 to show up.

In the phone drone app, you need to shut off the bigger mode. Should be in the drone app settings, if itâs on then you can only fly 20m away. I hope this helps, sorry for the late reply but have been very ill. Cheers and thanks for watching
My dad just bought one, and is having issues flying it. Do you need wifi to fly it? He doesn't have a huge data plan
No the drone puts out its own 5ghz WiFi and if your phone is 5ghz WiFi like all the iPhones since i5 plus. Android would be the galaxy models, should be fine and not use any data. I was suggest to put the phone in airplane mode, then turn Wi-Fi on to connect with the Drone. That way no other apps are running while flying this Drone. Hope your dad gets it worked out and thanks for stopping by.

No, just your mobile device needs to be duel band 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz WiFi. You can Google your phone model and see if you have the door been Wi-Fi. All iPhones from my phone 5S and newer have it. The newer galaxy Samsung phones have it I just donât know about other android phones.
My HS510 doesn't return home. It flies in circles until it's crashes. I calibrate it before every flight
Wow Iâm sorry to hear that. Without being there itâs hard to say whatâs causing that. So many different factors, have you tried a different area? Just wondering if itâs getting Interference from high WiFi area, any metal or your phone to close when calibration. I would return it if all else fails, hope everything works out.

What are you getting for a battery flight time I know it depends if you're running the camera if you're not using the camera to record what are you getting I was hoping 14 but looks like it's only going to be maybe 12 anyway thank you nice-looking video

I thought you might want to know about the batteries that fly in your hs510 they are called high voltage battery 2s1p x 2 3.8 =7.6 v they can be charged to 4.35 volts each cell on a hobby charger with the right balancer but your charger must carry lihv able hobby charger I thought you might want to know why you can take a 1500 milliamp battery and actually get 14 minutes they're rated as HV batteries hope this helps you I like it so far. After August 1st I'm going to convert it to operate and charge off of a hobby charger I've done it with every drone I own to do this but you must have a charger that can 3.8 volt batteries they still charge to 4.35 v x2 = 13.1 v full sorry for the long writing I didn't know any other way to do it I thanks for all the info that you said.

Any idea why my controller wont automatically connect to the drone?
Sometimes they come unbound from the factory. If you watch my video on how to set up the drone, in that other video I show you how to pair the controller with the drone in case that happens. Turn the drone on, then hold the red lock button down on the controller and turn the controller on while holding the red lock button down. Then let off the red lock button after turning the controller on and it should bind with the drone.
Should I get the hs510 or the hs165?
There both good drones, the hs510 will be better choice between the two. Or you if you saved a little more you can get the hs720e, the video is so stable. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend.

I have a problem with my new HS510.
It takes off and descends a little of itself and when I rotate (360 degree) the drone begins to slide to the right or to the left. However, I did the calibration of the compass and the gyro. You have an idea ?
Not to sure without seeing it in person. Could be the area your flying, Sometimes the calibration could be interfered due to high Magnetic field in the area youâre fine. Just make sure youâre not over concrete because it has metal re-barb in the concrete and can interfere with your compass calibration. Also any metals or your phone being too close to the Drone during calibration, can cause the calibration to be off. Also any 5G towers close can Interfere with calibration as well and flight signal.

When they send out the drone to you for review, do they want you to return the drone after you fly and review it ? I just recently became a tester for HS, waiting for my first test drone, the DEERC D50 ! They want me to test it and then do a review ... and they paid for the drone and are shipping today ...
My wife bought me the HS165 and I love it with the exception of the fixed camera angle, also, jt is also just a 1080p, cant wait to test the DEERC D50 as that has a 2k UHD camera and an adjustable camera(no axis gimble), manual adjust ! Otherwise the HS165 is small, lightweight and quick little thing, and very durable too as it has been crashed a few times and still no damages ! :) You can see some videos from it on my channel as well, I will sub your channel to keep watching your videos ! Iâve had this drone since September 2020; itâs easy to fly and has many features for the price but I wouldnât buy it again.
1. Screw propellers are a bad idea in anything that vibrates and turns. Iâm on my fifth set of props and screws - they seem to fly off easily.
2. The camera sensor has trouble with high contrast; bright areas are washed out.
3. Without multiple gimbals, every little vibration shows up in the video - itâs very shaky
Need to buy that new Dreamer 4K Pro with 3axis gimbal and OTG connect cable from the phone to the controller. Also the HS720E is a nice drone as well, just will not have the range of that new dreamer 4K Pro has since itâs still WiFi connection . The drone you have is still a great beginners toy drone to learn from, your the first one I heard of prop screws backing out. Sorry to hear that, should contact HolyStone. They would of sent you replacements, also if it keeps being a problem too. You could return it or use the light tighting Loctite, itâs the one that is red. I was the same way when I bought my first mavic air, to tell you the truth. After 5 years of flying and I have flown over 370 drones. I still get nervous when I take my new mavic air 2 out, so your not alone on that. There are still so many features I have not even tested. This is a nice flyer and the video is not bad, but itâs not for cinematic video. You are better off getting a hs720e to have decent video and stable footage. Holy Stone hs720 is the same remote control everything is the same the only difference is the camera is 3 gimbal move up and down and zoom in and out the battery last longer 26 minutes
The h720 has only 1 motorized gimble, it does not have a 3 axis gimble. The cameras zoom in and out is not a gimble, itâs the phone app that does the zoom. If is was 3 axis it would have a camera that can would keep the camera steady forward,back,left and right. You would see very little moment in the camera if it was 3 axis.
But the hs720 has a longer flight time
