The ending of this season gives me chills everytime, especially due to Simons death, and him pushing Grace off the bridge to wheel her after she just saved him. It was unexpected in a way and quite sudden. I agree it would've been nice to get more of Amelia and Hazel, but sadly there were plans for a movie focusing more on Amelia before the show got cut short. Out of all the seasons though, I think this is the strongest and honestly darkest one in terms of tone, themes and story. Loved your reactions to it, and can't wait to see what you think of season 4.

One detail i love is how grace, who always used the term "null", calls hazel a "denizen" when talking about what they'd do about hazel

They definitely had plans for the future of Amelia, Hazel and Grace.
Amelia and Hazel is still up in the air what they wouldve done with them. But Grace i had an idea. I can see Grace eventually being alone and become sorta like a companion to others she encounters because she cant move on because of Hazel and i think the next time we see Hazel that was eventually going to come into play.

I love season 2, but season 3 is definitely my favorite (not by much, mind you). I just love these two characters and watching them go in opposite directions was fascinating. Grace only starting to get her redemption after Hazel is gone makes complete sense to me, and Simon's arc is just a tragic, well-crafted, horrible downward spiral. It's infuriating to watch and yet it makes complete sense too considering what we learned about him and how his mind works.
As you said, I wish we could have seen what happens to Hazel and Amelia after that, but I still hope the show will be revived in the future. And hey, season 4 is pretty good - the only reason it's often regarded as the "bad" one is because it's more like a 7 out of 10 instead of a 9. And the little glimpses of the season-5-that-never-was are tantalising to say the least.

I think it's a real shame that season 4 wound up being the last one and inevitably gets compared to this one. Season 4 actually might be my favorite, but everyone seems kinda luke warm on it just because the show ended there. I'd say, going into season 4, try your best not to let that color how you view it too much, because I honestly think it's really solid.

I think honestly if anything, the fact that I'm kind of going into it knowing the general consensus so far has me intrigued. After just the first set Kez is already one of my favorite if not my #1 favorite denizen.

One of my biggest questions is what's up with the kid at the end who had a number on their left hand? Tulip was left handed, so it's not because of that.
