While I love LGBT rep as a lesbian myself, I actually preferred the girls not getting together. The core of this show was the friendship between those three. Not romance. Sure you can ship them in your personal head canons, but personally I loved that it was platonic.

Man, but What A Finale. I only wish more series could end like that, in such a satisfying way. It’s bittersweet, sure, but it also feels completely earned. They’ve all grown so much, we see that, but there’s also enough there for us to just... make up headcannons. I’m still waiting for the inevitable wave of Fanfiction.

In Disney you either have a strong LGBT+ representation and your show is getting the boot or you have an easy to censor LGBT+ representation and your show gets three seasons.
Well it wasn't the lgbt representation that made the owl house or amphibia canceled. Owl house was mainly canceled due to the ratings for season 1 not doing good. And since it was during the start of covid times, they decided to cut the last season's budget since they already got the second season order. Amphibia was always going to be 3 seasons, due to them airing every episode every day for season 1, getting good ratings and being in 2019, allowing them to get two more seasons, which Matt used to tell the story.
Or maybe you can tell an actual good story with great characters instead of shoving LGBT down children's throats and get a three seasons. Just a thought.
I personally enjoyed every moment of season 3. They did an outstanding job of emotionally connecting to the viewers. It was a wonderful ride watching the show from 2019-2022. I’m still in a bit of denial but thank you to Matt and the crew for this masterpiece. Goodbye Amphibia
My little brother predicted Andreas being a robot early because of the sound effects used on him. Like I never noticed that is some good foreshadowing. I was high-fiving him.
I’ve been a fan of amphibia since the first episode premiered and seeing the show slowly develop into this masterpiece that everyone loves is truly amazing. No other show will be able to fill the hole in my heart that amphibia will leave now that it's over but I'm glad that Matt got to finish the story. Amphibia is definitely one of my top 5 favorite cartoons ever.
@@blur3611 Counterpoint, I think the filler was actually really important to the show overall. Developing the characters through lighthearted stories can help the audience get more attached to them, and in this case for most people it has worked. The creator himself has said that he doesn't consider any of the show true filler. While I would say that there is definitely some, I would also say that it doesn't really matter what constitutes as filler or not. An episode doesn't have to move along the plot to be good. One of my favorite episodes is Wally and Anne, which has almost no significance to the main plot. Also I'm not trying to take a dig here, but Owl House is no masterpiece either. I'm not claiming amphibia is one, although I enjoyed it a ton, but both shows have flaws, and I simply happened to get more attached to the characters and world of amphibia.
I think the reason the herons were inducted into Andrias' army comes from the line where Hop-Pop says they've been terrorizing the valley for years; given their color schemes, they appear to be the same pair that Sasha and Grime fought off in Season 1, and the entire toad army - Grime included - were terrified of them... I think there's a good chance they're more formidable (and possibly larger) than most herons in Amphibia. Something like that whole story around the shark named Submarine. Also worth mentioning that the Amphibia epilogue was only 9 months later - I do agree about Polly tho, I wish her head shape was closer to Sprig's and other grown frogs
About the whole "Anne backup" stuff, I don't think she is a clone. Rather the guardian created a copy of Anne's body and put her soul in it. Anyone else thinks that?
Anyone who has seen Avatar should know that this "Backup" thing is just Reincarnation, and that YES: Anne's soul was placed into a replica of her own body, since the original was "Thanosed"
Personally, no. The guardian calls her a copy, and her shoe is now on the right side instead of the left. The guardian said they copied her, not transferred her soul. It's why they said she is both dead and not dead. The original Anne died, but the copied Anne is indistinguishable from the original Anne, so they're basically the same person, but also not. It reminded me a lot of the game SOMA.

Until they show that original is still there panicking at the uplink terminal and then they hit you with revelation that device creates a COPY of your mind as you simply can't cut and paste active mind. And you did it several times throughout the game already... And this reveal changes everything - your original body and mind have died long ago and the one who reached the safe heaven? Is a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy. And only one of "You" found out terrible truth, abandoned, left behind. So yeah... Original Ann died and a Copy took her place - thus is why the one who "survived" comments how much "existentional dread" such knowledge can bring.
I honestly love the character development from Sasha especially in Season 3, from her trying to be controlling all the time, to only taking control when she needs to. The scenes where she becomes more open about her feelings are standouts to me. Also, Sasha being bisexual brings a new perspective on her character. I think that she’s been so controlling in the past because she’s afraid of revealing her true self out of fear of rejection from her friends (and out of fear of being rejected by both of her divorced parents) and losing control over her life, but instead, her domineering nature hurts her rather than helps her.
Amphibia truly is a masterpiece that I honestly didn’t see coming at first 2 years ago when I first watched the show after 2A was finished. Similar to the first time I watched Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia on Netflix and before I knew it, I had binged watched the entire series and it’s three sequel series. Both cartoons that are underrated masterpieces that deserve more attention and praise.
I feel like I'm one of the only few people who love episodic shows anymore. Just turning something on to watch without having it connected to other episodes and get satisfied with the 20 minutes experience as a whole. It reminds me of the shows I always watched as a kid.

GOD I'm gonna miss this show! it's grown to be propably my favourite show of all time, I love it so much! it filled the Star shaped hole in my heart and now I have an amphibia shaped hole I somehow need to fill. Also I am going to cry over this video because any footage of the finale makes me tear the fuck up!
it was just... SO perfect. I, not being from LA, nor California, nor the US, LOVED the human episodes and would have loved a whole season dedicated to the human world and a whole other season dedicated to the war. Just would have been fun to explore both parts of season three a bit more, but maybe that's just me. I LOVED the bittersweet ending, showing that while the girls will probably always be good friends (shared trauma and all that) they won't be the most important people in each other's lives anymore. And that's OKAY. They're all just thriving and I love it. And back at Amphibia, everyone else is thriving which is also great. I hope some book or something is going to confirm this, but I hope Terrie never gave up on making portals to other worlds and they'd be able to keep the portal open for long enough for Sprig and Anne to communicate via phone? It's basically The Owl House logic and it is set in the same universe, so... and after ten years, maybe they'll be able to create a proper portal? And the great thing about all that is we know that's going to happen. The audience is obviously thinking of a million different ways Anne could travel to Amphibia again. So they don't need to mention it. They can focus on the message about change and facing what's out there (same message as Gravity Falls now that I think about it, no one is surprised though). They can show how even if they never see each other again, the Plantars and the other Amphibians and Anne and the others will be okay. Because it's such an important message to teach kids and adults that even if things completely change, you'll still be okay. I just love it so much. Also, idk about you guys but I really thought the whole "Leaf is a Plantar" thing would be a much bigger deal? Even just to Andreas?? But I loved that it was an Amphibian (Sprig) who redeemed him, not Anne. Loved that detail. Also, almost cried when Marcy legit said "nat 20!" like my little nerd heart OMG. Okay that's all. Thanks for reading my rant!
Love the show overall, but man I'd be lying if I said that Season 3 wasn't all over the place for me. The characters I cared most about getting back to were Marcy, Sasha, and the people we already knew in Wartwood. So I'm not sure why we needed a half a season detour to LA that just seemed to exist to ignore everything that happened in True Colors. But beyond that, I am glad that the story at least got to reach a proper conclusion in an age where everything seems to be at risk of sudden cancellation. The plot didn't always focus things where I wish it did, but it was still a heartfelt enough sendoff, and give props the the crew for what they managed to make with Disney higher-ups probably breathing down their necks every step of the way.
Season 3 was a mixed bag for me, while I certainly wished the consequences of everything that happened in True Colors would be more prominent but the show still did well. Dissatisfying that we didn’t get more on Marcy/Darcy until the finale but that’s me.
Loved Amphibia to death !!! It was my favourite show and still is ... Wish that more shows ended like it did ! Also I loved all of their designs in the epilogue... Especially Marcy !

This was a year ago, so maybe you don’t think this anymore, but just because you may accept something being gone doesn’t mean you don’t get to hold on to the memories or pieces you have of that lost thing/person. Her building a miniature amphibia to keep as a way of honoring the family she doesn’t have anymore doesn’t mean she “never moved on and is obsessed” it just means she wants to remember them and it probably makes her happy having a piece of home with her??

while season 3 for me not have a perfect start (missed opportunity the MID SEASON I will called), this show did what any great show have to.....ENDED WITH A BANG, hell yes, as soon they return to Amphibia the show got right back on business and all for the better and the last 2 episodes are just, my kind of cheesecake, muhhhaaww so good, congrats to the Amphibia crew they nailed this show, I will never say is a perfect 10 out of 10, season 1 was fun but not very plot center....season 2 was my jam all the way to the stabbing end....season 3 have a weak half (the entire earth saga......but still Anne parents are great, love them), but the second half the return to Amphibia was all I wanted and the ending is season 2 levels of epicness with tears of happiness instead of sorrow. Still Gravity Falls will be forever best Disney cartoon show in my opinion, but Amphibia happily for me got very damn CLOSE, this was a wonderful journey and an inspiration to us hopefully someday write something that get as close of been this good, Matt Braly thanks for all the laughs and this amazing show.

When Marcy said that the stones power stack when used in tandem and after that immediately saying classic synergy buff that means she knows how to play literally every campaign game and she earns my favorite character spot
So I finished the show today and when I watched that same scene at 9:40 I just chocked up Andrias creaking to large metal armor. Looking at it after finishing the finale makes alot more sense. Also Cat God is Ruby.
So again no one talks about Anika Noni Rose aka Princess Tiana voicing Dr.Jan and Keith David aka Dr.Faclier voicing King Andrias both in a Disney Cartoon establishments about frogs and no connections made is just criminal imo.

I personally love that King Andreas lived. Too many times villains take the vader way out, but with andreas he's out there planting trees for years. He'll never make up for all he's done, but he'll likely spend the rest of his life trying, and that's a better message I think than giving your life makes up for it.
Although I’ve been on s1 of amphibia before DisneyXD stopped airing but I only got a sneak peak of Sasha and Marcy due to the opening and Sashas appearance in one of the episodes and I’ve been trying to get back into it by bugging my brother enough to let me watch it with him but hopefully I’ll be able to fully understand the story regardless to the amount of spoilers I’ve seen so far

I honestly love the character development from Sasha especially in Season 3, from her trying to be controlling all the time, to only taking control when she needs to. The scenes where she becomes more open about her feelings are standouts to me.
Also, Sasha being bisexual brings a new perspective on her character. I think that she’s been so controlling in the past because she’s afraid of revealing her true self out of fear of rejection from her friends (and out of fear of being rejected by both of her divorced parents) and losing control over her life, but instead, her domineering nature hurts her rather than helps her.

Amphibia truly is a masterpiece that I honestly didn’t see coming at first 2 years ago when I first watched the show after 2A was finished. Similar to the first time I watched Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia on Netflix and before I knew it, I had binged watched the entire series and it’s three sequel series.
Both cartoons that are underrated masterpieces that deserve more attention and praise.
Gonna be honest, during the epilogue I saw the bird and snail nuzzling, and I thought it was cute. I did NOT notice the snail-bird. Good lord.
I feel like I'm one of the only few people who love episodic shows anymore. Just turning something on to watch without having it connected to other episodes and get satisfied with the 20 minutes experience as a whole. It reminds me of the shows I always watched as a kid.

GOD I'm gonna miss this show! it's grown to be propably my favourite show of all time, I love it so much! it filled the Star shaped hole in my heart and now I have an amphibia shaped hole I somehow need to fill. Also I am going to cry over this video because any footage of the finale makes me tear the fuck up!

it was just... SO perfect. I, not being from LA, nor California, nor the US, LOVED the human episodes and would have loved a whole season dedicated to the human world and a whole other season dedicated to the war. Just would have been fun to explore both parts of season three a bit more, but maybe that's just me. I LOVED the bittersweet ending, showing that while the girls will probably always be good friends (shared trauma and all that) they won't be the most important people in each other's lives anymore. And that's OKAY. They're all just thriving and I love it. And back at Amphibia, everyone else is thriving which is also great.
I hope some book or something is going to confirm this, but I hope Terrie never gave up on making portals to other worlds and they'd be able to keep the portal open for long enough for Sprig and Anne to communicate via phone? It's basically The Owl House logic and it is set in the same universe, so... and after ten years, maybe they'll be able to create a proper portal?
And the great thing about all that is we know that's going to happen. The audience is obviously thinking of a million different ways Anne could travel to Amphibia again. So they don't need to mention it. They can focus on the message about change and facing what's out there (same message as Gravity Falls now that I think about it, no one is surprised though). They can show how even if they never see each other again, the Plantars and the other Amphibians and Anne and the others will be okay. Because it's such an important message to teach kids and adults that even if things completely change, you'll still be okay. I just love it so much.
Also, idk about you guys but I really thought the whole "Leaf is a Plantar" thing would be a much bigger deal? Even just to Andreas?? But I loved that it was an Amphibian (Sprig) who redeemed him, not Anne. Loved that detail.
Also, almost cried when Marcy legit said "nat 20!" like my little nerd heart OMG.

Love the show overall, but man I'd be lying if I said that Season 3 wasn't all over the place for me. The characters I cared most about getting back to were Marcy, Sasha, and the people we already knew in Wartwood. So I'm not sure why we needed a half a season detour to LA that just seemed to exist to ignore everything that happened in True Colors.
But beyond that, I am glad that the story at least got to reach a proper conclusion in an age where everything seems to be at risk of sudden cancellation. The plot didn't always focus things where I wish it did, but it was still a heartfelt enough sendoff, and give props the the crew for what they managed to make with Disney higher-ups probably breathing down their necks every step of the way.
Season 3 was a mixed bag for me, while I certainly wished the consequences of everything that happened in True Colors would be more prominent but the show still did well.
Dissatisfying that we didn’t get more on Marcy/Darcy until the finale but that’s me.
I feel like I could go on a rant on what I don’t like about Season 3 for a whole hour honestly.
The end where polly has grown is not 10 years later but a few years/months the scene on earth is 10 years later.

while season 3 for me not have a perfect start (missed opportunity the MID SEASON I will called), this show did what any great show have to.....ENDED WITH A BANG, hell yes, as soon they return to Amphibia the show got right back on business and all for the better and the last 2 episodes are just, my kind of cheesecake, muhhhaaww so good, congrats to the Amphibia crew they nailed this show, I will never say is a perfect 10 out of 10, season 1 was fun but not very plot center....season 2 was my jam all the way to the stabbing end....season 3 have a weak half (the entire earth saga......but still Anne parents are great, love them), but the second half the return to Amphibia was all I wanted and the ending is season 2 levels of epicness with tears of happiness instead of sorrow. Still Gravity Falls will be forever best Disney cartoon show in my opinion, but Amphibia happily for me got very damn CLOSE, this was a wonderful journey and an inspiration to us hopefully someday write something that get as close of been this good, Matt Braly thanks for all the laughs and this amazing show.

I personally love that King Andreas lived. Too many times villains take the vader way out, but with andreas he's out there planting trees for years. He'll never make up for all he's done, but he'll likely spend the rest of his life trying, and that's a better message I think than giving your life makes up for it.

Being Asian, Anne's family is incredibly relatable but I don't believe for one second that she remembers what to call all of her aunts.
Although I’ve been on s1 of amphibia before DisneyXD stopped airing but I only got a sneak peak of Sasha and Marcy due to the opening and Sashas appearance in one of the episodes and I’ve been trying to get back into it by bugging my brother enough to let me watch it with him but hopefully I’ll be able to fully understand the story regardless to the amount of spoilers I’ve seen so far
