This episode is really the culmination of Hilda's arc throughout this season. This whole season she struggled with adapting to Trollberg, to accept it as her new home and to accept her new reality overall. Here she is faced with both her past (the wilderness), and the opportunity to get every desire she wants fulfilled, which is also smth she wants. Yet Hilda realises it's empty in nature and chooses to accept her home and reality around her.
