You totally nailed it with the "I can't believe this is free on CZcams" aspect of Helluva Boss, but no mention of the music? I think the way they incorporated the musical numbers into the show was great, and I'm normally not a big fan of characters suddenly bursting into song during a show. It also has a decent amount of episodes out at this point (16 I think?) which is significant considering that some of the other shows you mentioned only have a few episodes or just a pilot.
The music for helluva boss and TADC were created by the same person I believe

I'm happy that you put TADC bellow MD, as while it is decent and does some stuff better than MD, MD is just... better. The lore goes really deep, is really fun to watch, and the soundtrack, man, that's one of the best music I have listened to.
To be fair TADC just has the pilot and MD has 7 episodes

@@MewPurPurunderstandable. I love md but I didn’t really get attached to it until around episode 3. If you ever end up wanting to give it a try again, I recommend it. If it doesn’t end up hooking you by episode 3 it might not be for you, but I do agree that the tadc pilot hooked me more in the beginning.
VivziePop’s shows are arguably the most iconic but a lot of other indie cartoons including Murder Drones are each really good in their own way.

Yea but Helluva Boss is a terrible written show. I dont know but people writing these characters or episodes dont know how to do it right at all. There are no character dynamics, character buliding, there is nothing such as progress in these characters like in Moxxie (bro is still a pethedic bitch episode after episode, acting like the last episode didnt even existed), humor and jokes are ... I'll say that it is impossible to create a good, based humor without established character dynamics so this show has a lack of humor (sex jokes, penis, sex sex and sex toys and sexxx ha ha and thats it). This show also jumped way to far into some lore, deep, dark back stories and plot. On the first shoot, I tought that it will be just a comedic series and maybe with some progress it'll be more constructed. But hell nah. They just destroyed totally the main plot line, main characters (Blitz and Stolas and their relationship, Stella, Striker, almost everyone important really), I think they cant come up with something different than daddy issues, their world building is starting to falling apart. For me this show is just a wasted-potential.

@@panzerwaffel5281 Ah, but have you given season 2 a fair chance? If not, you might be missing out on something. While Season 1 may have had its shortcomings in character development (not forgetting the sex sex sex jokes), season 2 takes things to a whole new level. You'll find more depth, more backstory (including the part where Stolas meets Blitzo for the first time, it helps us see why he cheated on his wife, even though it's clearly wrong), and more character development in this season. It's really where the series starts to shine, in my opinion, and I really do appreciate it. I believe it's unfair to criticize this series so harshly without giving it a fair chance. There's a lot to appreciate once you delve deeper into it. It's preferable to say that these types of shows might not match your vibe, but that's more about personal taste than any flaws.

Iffy animation aside, I love Meta Runner to the moon and back. It's just everything I could possibly want in a story. I'd even go as far as to say it's Glitch Productions' best series.

That already kinda happened with Moro Nighteye's Indies Cross animation. One of the newest episodes had Helluva Boss characters fighting Murder Drones characters. And it was not a one sided opinionated fight too.

I don’t think many people know about this yet, but a few days ago a brand new series pilot called “Godspeed” just released. And let me tell you IT IS ONE OF THE BEST PILOTS IVE EVER SEEN. It has beautiful 2D animation topped with amazing voice acting. It’s story is about a young woman who is left behind on earth after most of the population has either died or left via spaceships because there is a large mass of energy and light about to destroy the planet. I would highly recommended if you enjoy apocalypse stories.

I'm surprised, that in the videos like this there's no "Animation vs (something)", animation is so unique, so alive, story is the best I've ever seen, there're no voices of characters, but we can feel them, one word: Masterpiece

Murder Drones is definitely number 1 for me 😁. I love the characters, the lore, the mystery, the dark story, the action, the comedy, the strong horror vibes, the character designs, the environments, and the score of the show so much. Best show on CZcams, in my opinion.

I agree, Underverse is one of the best animation on CZcams I have ever seen. There is also "The Interviewed" from J-Gems, it's a FNaF animation on SFM but it is incredibly well made and the plot is amazing

While UnderVerse is a very good series that I enjoy, it’s catered to a very specific audience and is VERY, VERY hard to get into for the normal person who just wants to pick up a series to watch without hours of research, and they won’t get the hype when certain characters show up

I love Gods School I hope more episodes can release soon. It reminds me a lot of Ever After High and I feel like it could be so profitable as another doll show and kind of pull audiences back to that era

sheriff hayseed is also a amazing animation made by piemation and its centered around a cute sheriff fox learning how to be a good sheriff for a town in the middle of nowhere but sadly it was discontinued, give it a watch.
I would love to recommend you one of the upcoming series on CZcams as well. It's called Ramshackle - a story about 3 young homeless kids and their life in the streets. One day they find a baby in a dumpster and decide to take care of him, also dealing with their unfortunate fate at the same time. I'm super hyped about this project, the pilot is about to drop out soon as well
That sounds so much like the plot of Tokyo Godfathers :/ Which is a great movie, I encourage you to check it out!

the thesis film was awesome! the pilot though... guess it's just not the vibe I was expecting, a bit too nonsensical for my liking
but that's okay, there's still people who like it, really respect the creator for working out their idea, it's a very hard thing to do
murder drones is also personally one of my favorites up there :D
my only complaints would probably be the lore being a bit hard to keep up with unless i'm actively rewatching, and also the way the show treats the death of characters (such as people being killed off for la-funny moment, but when a main character dies its serious)
but other than that, it's an awesome show! 👍

It felt SO good when you acknowledged Meta Runner and Sunset Paradise. Yeah, Digital Circus has potential and Murder Drones is undeniably awesome, but the other shows are really good too. SP was fun to watch. I think I wouldve liked it more if it focused a bit more on action than comedy, but the setting was colorful and felt video game-y and the characters were where the show really shined and I liked seeing Meggy overcome her inner demons
It also upsets me how underrated Meta Runner is. The story is mysterious and engaging, the setting is neon and colorful like something out of a cyberpunk anime, the fights literally feel like anime, and AJ Dispirito had no reason to cook as good as he did on the soundtrack.

The Amazing Digital Circus is absolutely well... Amazing, I love the Characters. Such fun designs and personality for each Character, it's sooooooo fun, and I'm excited to see where it goes~
You included Cliffside and Murder Drones so I'm shouting out Internecion Cube. It's more of a rough draft of a show but I really like it, it got my heart pacing very fast at some of the horror moments.

Fun fact: As far as I remember, Lackadaisy's animated pilot took three YEARS to make, and the result of the production team's efforts really shows.
The pilot also encouraged me to read the web-comics by the original author and artist, Tracy Butler, who also took part in the animated pilot's production. The reason being that there were a lot of things I didn't understand when I originally watched the pilot for the first time. And after reading the first page of the web-comic alone the weeks after the pilot's release date, I found myself literally bingeing lots of pages for only three days and two long nights until I finished the latest page released which, at the time, was "Epithet".

I'd recommend watching Swift Spark and the Defense Five. Besides the voice acting and music the whole thing was basically made by one guy! Also Lumi and the Great Big Galaxy, while not out yet, definitely has amazing potential.
Hunter: The Parenting is a pretty unique comedy series I’d like to mention.
I’m not sure if it really counts, seeing as a lot of the series is just audio dramas, but what is animated is hand-drawn and done in a unique way.
Now I just wish it would get new episodes, seeing as it’s been about a year since the last one.

Ughhh. Im stuck between two decisions. I have multiple projects in the works that i plan on making into hybrid novels (heavily illustrated books in a graphic novel style.)
But ive always been a huge fan of animation and have always wanted to learn it (still am learning it) but i don't know which medium i want these to exist in. I could do both but that would be a lot more work. Help!!
May I also recommend Ramshackle. It's a great pilot with unique art and a gripping ending. Highly recommended

You should probably include in the future Internecion Cube, which was the immediate predecessor to Murder Drones and peak despite its unfinished nature, imo being a much better blend of Liam's previous edgier/more mature content (not meant in a bad way, SSTWL is still in many ways equal to or superior to the more recent projects) and the more humorous/wacky style of Murder Drones.
I’m hoping that I can get my own animation out sometime within 3-5 years.
I’ve been working on it, but my artistic capabilities are abysmal at best, so poor animation quality may be a minor setback for a while.
My first animated series will be called “Fable of the Hunter”, about a teenage boy who, while on a school trip, is attacked by a mythological monster known as a Pterolycus.
After suffering severe injuries, the protagonist is suddenly cast into a whole new world of mythologies and fairy tales come to life.
It lies up to him to defend humanity from the Fables (Fae) that seek humanity’s destruction.

I don’t take offense at this, because yeah, the description is absolutely mediocre. The description sounds basically like your generic “normal guy is thrust into an unstoppable chain of events and must save humanity” plot.
It is, but I think the way I go about it is a little more unique than that. Especially considering the lore that I have planned.
I have to say though, writing brief summaries is not my strong suit.

Ive seen some not on this list ex wellcome to Dreamworld (not shure if it counts as an arg, analog horror or indie animation) it's very good and i recommend a watch but we are an explosion of high quality independent content
Some of my favorites are Epithet Erased by Jello Apocalypse and Terrain of Magical Expertise by Chris Niosi (the voice of Reigen Aritaka from Mob Psycho)
Totally not bias here, but with the success of Hazbin, it's currently leading the way for a handful of some of the big indy frontrunners to follow. I'm bettig Digital Circus and Lackadaisy is next in line.
I hope I can do be part of the indie animation show, also hate to disappointed all of you but its not going to be an adult indie animation show, its going to be an action/slice of life kids show(action kids for examples like ninja turtles, teen titans and samurai jack) its going to have a pilot movie, an introduction to our 6 heroes, first being Kenyon, (yeah I know the name sounds dumb for an main character but its just me) the pilot movie its going to lead into the series with either action, slice of life and sometimes horror. (the type of horror you're allowed to show to kids) The reason why I'm making an action kids show its because I want to stand out from most of the adult shows on CZcams, I'm just hoping I can make it on a streaming service too like vizipop's show.

Much apreciated video. If I may leave a lil advice for future, I would suggest to have a little pause between the various entries. Your voice literally ends a sentence and then immediately goes on saying the next entry title, sometumes makong difficult even realizing you've started to talk about another show. I think it would definitely make your video even more enjoyable. imho.
The only two I haven’t heard of is God’sSchool and Hidari. I will definitely check those two out. I’m glad I’m online enough that I know all the other animations mentioned. Love independent animation

If I may suggest adding a serie to your watchlist, Give a try to No Evil, by Warlord of Noodles (Idk, if it's on CZcams, but you can find it on Newgrounds)
A semi-serious story based on south-american mythology, with gorgeous animation and talented voice acting (if you're a non-english speaker like myself, understanding some of their accents is the proof you've gone full bilingual, congratulations ;7 ). Although some of the character's names are tonguetwisters, you easily get a hold on who does what and quickly get invested in the stakes ! Did I mention great songs as well ?

I know it doesn’t really count but red vs blue is easily the best web series with animation (it’s not entirely animated) to every release At least up until season 14.
Yeah, first season of Meta Runner had some iffy animation, but other than that, it is my personal favorite indie show, the story is amazing, the music is addictive, and animation after after the first season is superb. I’d recommend it to anyone for no reason whatsoever
