By far one of the closest, if not perfect, lessons I've watch on this solo. Triple 👍👍👍 Filled in a lot of gaps for me. But it's one of those solos that are just sooo addicting to play. And I wanna get it right. Then I can improvise. Great job man. And I just realized this video is 9 years old. Dudes been killing it for a decade with this lesson. 3 more 👍👍👍

Dave Glimour did a radio interview a couple of days ago and confirmed how this solo was done. A Les Paul direct into the mixing console and then re-amped and blended with the original. For years people have been saying stuff like he used a Strat, two MXR compressors and delay etc, etc. Maybe live. I have always played Les Pauls but thought I need a Strat for this solo. Turned out I just needed P-90s. I am not so fussed with the tone and just use whatever I have. But if i was trying to nail it I think a JHS colour box into a clean amp might emulated that re-amped direct recording quite well.
