It's great that this guy has clearly done the hard yards learning these Hendrix songs well,before attempting to share his knowledge of what he interprets Hendrix was doing. lets face it anyone who has spent time breaking down a Hendrix song quickly realise that the main man did things that no other guitarist can completely copy. Papa gives an authentic outline of the guitar parts but has confidence to add his own style into the mix. I think Hendrix himself would be impressed.

TheCrewesin Put 013 strings on you'r guitar. Watch some Stevie Ray Vaughan playing Voodoo Chile. Try to play that basically as hard as you can and you'r fingers will be iron.
Hendrix is not actually that hard.

...and THAT +Mandarin is why you never make comparisons of your skills to the masters. Just asking to go down in flames. :) ...but if anybody can bring the Hendrix out of you it is Papastache!! Lessons are as entertaining as they are informative. I pretend to be Hendrix sometimes now, but the thrill is over if I hear a recording of my badassery.

Trying to learn the intro solo is a fair challenge (I've been playing for a long time) I feeling like the timing is abnormal (superhuman??) Which is what makes it so difficult to get right.

At 12:00 after bending the G string up, strike the D string, which will be half bent under your finger, before going back to the G string. same timing just add the note in the middle

On the Lulu show, Hendrix played the opening with the pick up selector in the the bridge position, and he does not toggle the switch to get the effect on the long unison bend.

I just wanted to figure out how to do the shredding part. I'm glad I picked up a few things that I missed despite listening to the song hundreds of times. Although, there are a few things that I know he's doing wrong. Not that it matters.

In Jimi's ''Electric Ladyland'' album, it's a song named 'Voodoo Chile' and an another named 'Voodoo Child(slight return).
Good vibe! After the skills are in order... just go for the vibe and personalize it, make it your own. Hendrix did it, EVH does it... that's what it's all about. If you are seeking to copy anything exactly.... it will never exactly happen.
