I’ve tried several bootie patterns on CZcams & this is by far the best yet! I’ve only been crocheting since July this year so I recommend this video to beginners & experienced alike. Easy to follow, quick to complete. Thanks for the excellent video 👍🏻
Adorable, and the clearest, most patient tutorial ever! Thank you🍃🌸🌹
I love your work and I really love these booties. I made several pairs like the pattern and with Easter coming I used this pattern and made baby bunny booties. Just took off the strap, added ears, eyes and nose and perfect! They are adorable. You instructions are so good I think a person who has never crocheted before could make these right out of the gate. Thank you for taking the time to make all these videos.
such a great idea on the bunny, I'm new to crocheting so I'm looking for all types of new Inspo to try.
Thank you for your easy and clear instructions. This is my first time making baby shoes and I feel comfortable starting it.
Thank you, so much for the excellent tutorial. I have made two pairs already since yesterday. Simple and easy, Thank you. Im definitely looking forward to more of your tutorials.
These are so cute. I just finished one. I just started crocheting a few days ago. I've been knitting for yrs.
Just finished my pair! Great tutorial! Thank you for sharing!!
I teach crochet to a small group of 5-6 African women who have little to no education and who can barely understand me. I am so very proud of them as we have only been doing this once a week for less than three months and today I taught them how to do your little booties. We crocheted round by round together, there were some difficult moments with the first two rounds and then with the dc2tog decreasing but I wish you could have seen the huge smiles of delight when they finally completed their first bootie. I could not have done this without your video and your clear instructions.
That is so great! Thank you for leaving such a lovely comment x
I've been looking for a pattern for boy booties that I could understand and follow and these booties are AWESOME!! Thank you so much for this tutorial!
I am learning to crochet again. I made this pair of booties on Leap Day. The first bootie took me an hour to complete. The second on took me 4 hours as I had to keep tearing out my work. Thank you for posting this video! They turned out super cute and I am mailing them from Kansas to my new nephew in North Carolina! Keep up the good work!
+Val Steavenson Thats happened to me too. In my case I put it down to concentration or luck
hi! how do you crochet the other bootie?, this is my first attempt into baby shoes and i just don't now how to do the other bootie, the first one i made looks like the left bootie, so im guessing that to do the right one the instructions are slightly different? or is it the same exact steps for both of them and there's no such thing as left and right bootie? HELP!!
SRNA they are exactly the same. they are interchangeable. 😊

This is a fantastic tutorial. I am an experienced knitter. Thank you for watching :) x
For adults? Beautiful
I think you give very good directions. For future tutorials, could you please tell us the yarn you are using and what it might be equivalent in the US type yarns. thank you
I just finished making these, they're simple adorable. What sized buttons did you use to sew on?
nice pattern. but how many chains for 3yr old boy?
This was a great video for a easy booty. Thank you
+Troyrich Rich Thank you for watching x
Love these cutie shoes :) wanna ask though, I saw that you started to crochet on the other side of the shoe during the video meaning that you had turned the shoe inside out. Is that right ? I didn't see where that happened and didn't hear you mention it. I noticed it at the end when the slip stich round started. Am I seeing things ?
so for a 6 month old do I follow this pattern juwt use the 4.5mm hook? is that how it is for all patterns? I'm new to crocheting, only been doing it for a few months.
+Brandi Pastorius yes, just follow the tutorial using the correct size crochet hook for the size that you need. It is not how all patterns work but I like to work mine that way as it is much easier than making a new pattern for every size! Thank you for watching, please let me know how you get on with your shoes x
i wanted to make booties for 3 to 6 mos. will it be same instruction but diff hooks size only?
The problem I had cricheting along is the quick edits/crossfades and doubletalk. It would be nice to have a bit more time to transition between rounds and stitch sets. I got very confused where I was on the heel you were on the toe etc. Were we supposed to have a symmetrical pattern on both sides? I paused quite a bit but say if you put more transitions or fade to black with the words for the round or stitch set. I think that would help with the confusion. I just felt that one round collided with the other and it went blindingly fast.
Just pause the video when required that makes it easy
Hi, whats the ply of the yarn?
than you so much for this tutorial!! it was sooo good and clear in what we had to do.. but im soo new in crocheting that i dont know how to do the other bottie! is it reversed once i finish the sole.. or is it the same thing for both booties?
Nalim Lorentz its just the same thing
I made them!
I am a new self taught crocheter but I find my loops on my first chain become loose when I start to work on it, or I find it hard to get the hook through the loops on the hook...what am I doing wrong??! 💕
Hello! I have a few questions I would really appreciate if you could answer.
1) I used a 4.25 crochet hooks and the shoe came out huge for some reason. Is there a reason for this? (I used 100% cotton sugar'n cream yarn)
2) how do you count your stitches? I don't understand what you mean when you say you don't count the first chain stitch as a stitch? How can you identify your "starting point"? (I often find I have too many stitches)
3) how do you find the stitch you need to insert your needle to create the slip knot? How do you identify where your first incomplete double crochet stitch is?
4) when you're closing up the toe area to make it smaller (using the 2 double crochet stitches technique) the 2nd time (4 sets) are you skipping a stitch between each set?
5) I'm getting strange holes in random places and I'm sure I didn't skip a stitch. Is there a reason for this?
Thank you!
+Jennifer Yoo I am having the same issue with mine. I ended up using a stitch marker and even then got random holes and too many stitches. Still working on the issue with this one I will let you know if/when I get a solution
+Kim Anderson same here!
Same here, but I think the issue is when you do the first 8 sets of twos. Maybe she skips one stitch or so
sad that she did not reply to your question, I have the same problem that you explain in number 4, did you figure It out by any chance?
Thank you so much for uploading this video. I have finished them. And I think they came out nice but not as good as yours. I love them. Thank you once again. 👍🏼😘
+Jessica Torres Thank you :) The first pair are always the worst, have another go and I bet they will be much better! x
漂亮
I've tried 3 times to do this, and I just cant. But your instructions were wonderful, and very easy. For some reason, my little shoe does not close up! It folds a little, but doesn't come together. I will just have to keep trying!
Wow just did my first loafer thank you. It’s great to follow but may I recommend posting the amount of stitches at end Thank you god bless
Hi I am having trouble finding the buttons that you use can you please tell me the site on Amazon that you use I would greatly appreciate it Thanks so much
your booties look so nice..what size was your buttons ..i just love your patterns Thank You
+woolywonderscrochet Will a 3.5 size hook work for a newborn?
Do you have the written pattern? I can follow your video so well. I would like to learn to follow from a pattern too.
hi, i am from India. Can you tell me if i should use wool or just cotton yarn.
amazing ! thank you very much.. but I had a problem; I used the 4.5 mm hook for 3-6 months size, it turned out not even for a new born!! I did the exact thing you did! what's the matter!?
It may be the yarn that you are using - make sure you are using DK weight. Try using a 5mm hook as it may be that you work your stitches tighter than me! Thank you x
WoolyWondersCrochet I saw another tutorial. it said for 3-6 months, instead of 9 chains, chain 14. & it worked. will it work for 3-6 months even If I only chain 9 ?
Yes if you use the correct hook and yarn x
could you do a video on conves shoes for babies
What size yarn did you use?
+Mayra Diaz Look up drops lima yarn catergorythen look up yarn standards if u want to replace with another brand yarn
nicethanks
+Savitri Patel Thank you x

Hi.when.it.comes.to.sawing.the.strap.on.do.you.just.saw.the.ends.on.or.do.you.go.all.the.was.round
+carol davies you can do it whichever way you like, for mine I just attached the sides at either end. I hope this helps thank you for watching and following along x
+WoolyWondersCrochet Thankyou
hai. i want to ask you,if i want make it for baby 10-12 months (her size bigger than yours),how the pattern???. thanks
Try using size 6 hook and wool the right size for that hook. She doesn't seem to alternate the pattern.
may i know what size star button is that and where can i get them from? its nice
+Saadiqah I bought them on Amazon - just search for small wooden star buttons. They are around 1cm wide. Thank you for watching x
? Are you using a DK or a #3 yarn for these booties?
