Do you leave the ignition on when disconnecting battery

I accidentally did because I needed it to turn the wheel without locking but forgot to turn it off when putting back the battery

@@nickushev cheers mate I have 2012 Audi a4 Sline B8 and looking at buying a new wheel but it's from a 2008 model just hoping it'll fit
