- American folk singer, guitarist and songwriter, J Tillman is also the current drummer for the Seattle-based band Fleet Foxes. We capture here J.Tillman and his own band for a incredibly memorable afternoon of wonderful harmony-drenched Americana.

I discovered J. Tillman last night, sat down, and listened to his entire album straight through. Amazing stuff. There is magic here. It's not often you hear a special sound, but this is one of those times.
The world had no idea what was in store for them with this Josh Tillman fella.
It's 5 o'clock in the morning, I can't sleep and it's raining outside... This could not fit that mood more perfectly.
3:38am here in Puget Sound. Weather and mood are the same here now.
This video changed my life.
As of today one of the most beautiful live performances I saw.
Still watch it on a regular basis.
the pedal steel is awesome - big slabs of aural heaven - JT is pretty good too . .
I come back here once in a while to clear my head and feel like there is hope for the every people in the world and all the people i know and... somehow this performance gives me hope for tomorrow
The title for this video must be "J. Tillman live RFB Session" and not this misleading one about Fleet Foxes.

Patrick Doyle. It is his younger brother Zach Tillman, he plays bass & and guitar now, has his own band/music career these days.
Exquisite. Just found this guy. What a genius and a gem of musical channeling.
I can perceive a big share of Joshua Tillman in the Fleet Foxes songs concept.
But now with Father John Misty, a lot more of that.

The instrumentation reminded me a lot of Pink Floyd when I first heard this. Especially the lat bit. (I've listened to a lot of J. Tillman since then and of course agree they are quite different.)

They sound like a mixture of. band of horses. and blind pilot. The atmosphere and instruments of band of horses, but the harmonies and melodies like blind pilot. I don't wanna seem like a dick but I just like FF's stuff better because I can't compare them to anyone else. They're unique. However I was surprised by Tillman's voice. Nice. I think Pecknold and Tillman need to collab more since they're both very talented. And I really do love Tillman's drumwork so much. Probably my favorite drummer.

Is Fleet Foxes still together?
I have a feeling skye may have contributed at least a fair bit to their older work, seeing as him and robin have been friends making music together for a while. I'm disappointed tillman left fleet foxes as he always seemed like a perfect drummer and backing vocalist, and he is hilarious. But I'm happy to see he's doing his own thing still and that's where he wants to be.
