- Decided to return to Torrance again. Not much else to say, I met up with Dylan Keville for this test.

Torrance Refinery tests their 3 Modulators part of the community alert siren system on the first Wednesday of every month at 11:30 AM PST.

Siren Model: Federal Signal Modulator 6048
Decibels at 100ft: 125 dBs (Which I highly doubt)
Location: Torrance Refining Company
Camera's used: Canon SX530 HS and Canon Vixia HF R400

I can't tell you how many years this chime went off at noon in Sea Isle City, NJ. This year it was silenced, they say they have a new warning system. It is so missed!

I think its mostly used to see if the drivers or batteries are working
As far as I'm aware of, there's no "official" rule stating what It's used for, but most places use it for testing. and sometimes for curfews. Lexington, KY uses it for tests, severe thunderstorm watches, severe thunderstorm warnings and tornado watches.
