Hi, I am writing this in 2024.. I would like to thank you for this tutorial.. Although there are some hiccups along the way for example, i downloaded the 64bit hirensbootcd which cannot work for my 32bit pc. But after redownloading to a 32bit one.. Finally it works.. I can access to my old pc now.. Thank you once again…

Bought an old laptop to use in my garage as data storage on repairs but it needed upgrades/ repair to the w7 op system. my local disk does not appear, the only hard drives available are Ram Drive, Recovery, OS, and Mini XP

I followed the instructions, for me I used a USB and all worked well untill I reached the selection of selecting Local Disc, I dont see any Local Disc in My Computer, but I see F disc, however when I change the drive letter to F and press Reopen, I can't find my username. Could you please tell me what is the problem?

Hey Vahan, I found a solution while searching around, since I had the exact same problem.
Thing was, I had an SSD, and so my SATA was in AHCI mode.
All you have to do is enter the BIOS, switch AHCI to IDE, and presto! You can always change it back after you're done :)

(I also had to hit the 'Unlock' button next to the 'Save Changes' button bc I got message that account had been disabled contact administrator on my first logon attempt).

Thanks, worked like a charm. I used Rufus to copy the bootable files onto my flash drive, plugged it into the PC running windows 7 and tapped F12 to get the boot selection menu. ( Using the latest Hirenz Boot CD PE x64 (v1.0.1) as of this comment).

"Pay attention to each step carefully". I used another computer listening to the video/pause video. Each time he said do this step, I went to the other computer and did exactly that till the end. You cannot afford not to. Thanks again!

Amazing thanks! Panicked halfway through when no 'D' drive local disc showed up.Then went back and clicked again on 'C' drive to re-open and the names showed up SO I could continue..Been 2 days trying to solve this so now i's over and every thing is back to normal.

MIGUEL MIGUEL "ang galing mo" (trans) you're the best. At first I had a hard time downloading the file because Chrome keeps blocking it but finally I completed the down load using Explorer. After i burned the disc everything follows smoothly. Thank you very much for your help.

I always used the ubcd4win to boot up and then use sala password renew to create a new admin account. Unfortunately it crashes on boot up half the time. Especially on 64bit windows sytesms. Hiren's boot cd came to the rescue this time. Thank you very much.

Tested today on my desktop, sisters laptop and my neighbors desktop Win7 x64 x32 and it works fine :) its soo easy and fast for burning CD you need 5minutes and for change of pass you need 4 minutes or less... NOTE: SOME TIMES THE USER NAME OF ACCOUNT IS different because u changed a long time a go from like UserPC to Mike and i description it will stand not Mike it will stand in this case UserPC.

Hi, I have loaded the CD on a USB and boot the computer from the USB but there was no menue. instead I have only gurb> and all the commands faild to start minimal windows. what I have to do ?
